I’m not going to bother linking to anything here just some quick notes on what I’ve seen this morning. None of which comes from what would be considered normal or necessarily reliable sources. As much as we don’t like social media that’s how everyone on the ground is getting their message out and communicating with each other. A lot of these guys have never used any of it before and they’re learning on the go.  And its actually working really well. 

Looks like the cops got a couple of slip tanks and some jerry cans. A couple of pickup trucks got towed for having slip tanks on them. Nothing major. The new rule is if you have the paperwork to prove you’re a trucker you can transport fuel to your own vehicle but not to someone else’s. A campaign has started to get everyone on the hill to carry an empty jerry can with them at all times. Let the cops figure out which ones have fuel.

There was a show of force by police. Estimate was up to 100 officers in one group. They got their photo-op for the corporate press. Looks great on TV but it had no real impact. Everyone is still there.

Word on the street is that the goal for the police is to get everyone out of there today, clean things up tomorrow and have parliament resume on Wednesday.  To which I say good luck.

Morale amongst the protesters is high.

Again take everything I just wrote here with a grain of salt. Its a fluid situation and good intel is hard to come by in the heat of the moment.

  1. So then if they aren’t gone on Wednesday the sock monkey is going to have to fabricate another excuse for his absence.
    He can’t use Covid now, anyone care to offer a new excuse?
    Perhaps a list can be generated, a contest of sorts?

    1. He’ll be going into the backwoods for a few months to personally find some missing aboriginal women.

      Whatever the little shit’s new lie will be, you can be sure they will pick something that will ‘signal’ his woke ‘attack sheep’ at the same time.

  3. It would really disrupt the OPS if everyone started carrying around a full jerry can, empty ones are easy to detect but a can with water in it, well enough said. I can just imagine a cop having to open a can and then sniff it, what is he going to do next pour it out. Yeah that would look good on the six o’clock news, transmitted around the world.

    1. Just be careful to not accidentally pour the water into someone’s tank!

      Kool-Aid would also be a good thing for the decoy cans.

    3. You could, of course, carry around a jerry can and piss in it. Indeed, I might start doing that out of simple prudence, to hell with solidarity. It must be hard to manage a piss in Ottawa these days. I expect the truckers have blockaded all the urinals, and we can’t use the War Memorial any more…

  7. Saw on social media that some trades are thinking of joining the truckers. So maybe it will spread, and make the fools think twice.

    1. It could become a general strike if these idiots in Parliament and Legislatures don’t back down. We haven’t had one in Canada since the Great Depression.

What would have happened if this were instead an aboriginal protest and, unlike the Freedom Convoy, was marked by violence? What happened in Caledonia, Ontario fifteen years ago provides us with the answer.

    It lasted much longer than many anticipated and has provided hope for millions and scared the living shit out of almost every politician in the country.

    1. Neither strategic or critical thinking skills are typical attributes displayed by bureaucrats that’s, why they ended up in those positions in the first place. They suck value out of everything they touch and are mostly control freaks with little to no accountability for their capricious actions.

      More importantly that sorry excuse of a leader Sloly needs to rein in his police thugs before this really does escalate into an out of control situation.

      His career is finished and he knows it.

      I suspect there are some out in the broader population that will move heaven and earth to make sure his pension is gone also, either he never receives it or even better he is forced to defend one civil suit after another until he is penniless and begging for handouts on the streets of Ottawa.

      The authorities are like cornered animals right now, they know they are powerless, they are losing any small residual support that remained from the general population of Canada. History is littered with examples of authoritarian thugs like this and what eventually happens to them

  17. Mark Carney had a piece in the Grope and Flail today calling for the arrest of protesters for “sedition”, or in other words, arrest of people whose political opinions you disagree with.

    Historically, the sedition label is associated with many a fascist state.

    1. Carney is and has always been a technocratic asshat who believes he’s the smartest man in any room. Woe betide us if he ever becomes the leader of the LPC. He’s the sort of stone cold psychopath who’d have no problems rounding up anyone who dares point out he’s not nearly as intelligent as he thinks he is.

    2. The language Carney uses and the tone he adopts is as inflammatory and divisive as those that come from the Dear Leader. I have been reading through the comments posted in response to the article. Distressingly but nor surprisingly, virtually all of the “most respected” are in strong support of Carney’s position, except for this one from “Free_1”:

      “You can disagree with the convoy and make fair points about them breaking noise violations and parking violations, having bad ideas and such. Those are fair points that can be debated. You can even believe that police need to come in and put an end to it, you can make a good argument for that being necessary.

      But we need to be really concerned about powerful people calling things sedition and insurrection. It isn’t sedition and insurrection for separatist parties to openly call for the replacement of the federal government with their own governments, it isn’t insurrection or sedition for pipeline or rail blockades to be resurrected, BLM didn’t do anything seditious either.

      We have to be extremely cautious with allowing our rulers to use this language, I don’t think people are considering what this does to our ability to protest our government if they are successful in this. What will and is already happening, is the government cracks down on movements they don’t agree with, but they allow it with groups that further their goals.

      This has already happened with the word terrorism.

      Be careful in your quest to crush your enemies that you don’t lose your own rights in the process.”

    3. Truckers are a peacefully protesting to restore Canadian Charter rights, the right to medical and bodily autonomy, human and civil rights…if that’s sedition then I guess I’m a seditionist too.

      For the record : is it the peaceful protest that Carney and company find seditious or is it now seditious to stand up for basic rights that it would have been unthinkable to remove from Canadian citizens a short 2 years ago?

      Carney is not the genius he pretends to be.

      Every accusation is a confession. He’s demanding “follow the money” because he knows how his friends on Wall Street fund colour revolutions. Vladimir Putin isn’t funding this. He doesn’t have to. The Canadian people and well-wishers worldwide are doing it, $20 or $50 or $100 at a time.

      This is a real revolution, Mark, not the street theatre your pals bankroll whenever power falls into the hands of a decent human being—much less the stunt they funded in Russia in November 1917 because they wanted a lab rat for their mad scheme to abolish private property.

      If you have the sense God gave you, get in your private jet and get out of town for good. The “Ukrainian” oligarchs are doing just that.

      Rest assured there will always be a place for you and your dirty money somewhere. Just not here.

  18. There is a post, source unknown, circulating that a large contingent of the OPS (Ottawa Police Service), up to 50%, has handed in their resignations and that the remainder are refusing to follow orders. I wish I had a link to offer, but, alas, I do not. If I get confirmation, I will update.

  20. The cops have provided the media with a narrative that the government is “doing something.”
    That about sums it up. Other than that, so far, its just minor harassment of the protests by the establishment, adding up to zero real effect.
    We’re still winning.

  21. So every cop there better have had their photo taken linked to their name and id number. When this is over every single individual cop that went along with this better be punished. Every legal maneuver that comes to mind needs to used on these tyrants. Where is the database of individuals that have been enforcing these tyrannical measures for the last two years? Or are people just pretending to be fed up with it and will just let them get away with it?

  23. Dear Jagmeet is worried that foreign money has found the trucker protest. Very concerning and parliament must ACT. Guess he never heard of the Tides Foundation. Truckers should claim to be Antifa or enviros or indigenous, then… crickets from government.
