  1. the same thing applies to every wind and solar farm in the world, not just MN. Canada is stumbling down the same road and it will eventually cost lives.

  2. The folks of MN are NOT the brightest bulbs on the planet… They bought their first “used” Wind chopper from California, it failed in California and it failed in MN…. but political Democrats needed the exposure…Dumb as Hammers

Last Wednesday i traveled from Bismark ND to Minot ND… ALL the choppers were sleeping.. Looks like someone forgot to pay a Mortage BILL

  3. “Green” Energy is the MOST regressive form of taxation ever devised to CRUSH the poor and middle class. Thank you president Trump for reversing and eliminating the junk science underpinnings of these horror programs … formulated by the eco-missionaries at the EPA. The SCOTUS can now reverse their own ridiculous findings that the EPA has the “settled science” to call Co2 a “pollutant”.

  4. You could take out the word “Minnesota” and replace it with “Ontario” and the video would be just as accurate.

  5. For years I have wondered how engineers recommending wind and solar keep their licenses and insurance or is that all political too?

    1. Agreed.

      Doctors have a Hippocratic oath…

Investment counselors have a Fiduciary Duty …

Engineers must show their math and calculations to building inspectors for the structures they design.

Building Developers must present a Proforma to banks and lenders before receiving construction loans. So why shouldn’t these “alternative”, “green”, energy developers be forced to show their math ? The REAL math … not a bunch of nonsensical “projections” that have no basis in REALITY. Which BTW is what Gov. Moonbeam did to SELL his high-speed train. Totally fraudulent construction cost estimates, projected ridership, ACTUAL speed between cities, and projected fares. All such “alternative energy” project “projections” need to be peer-reviewed by current fossil fuel power plant operators. By people who have been delivering cheap, plentiful, energy for all.

But of course … when you have a POTUS who says that energy prices … “must necessarily rise” … then all such REAL WORLD calculations are moot.

  6. I actually hope politicians are subsidizing wind and solar projects because of greed and corruption because that at least makes some kind of sense. The alternative is that politicians and their advisers are truly incompetent and/or fanatics. I assume big tech and social media executives are part of the business class greens so suppressing critics with opposing info is crucial to keep the gravy train running smoothly.

Simple questions arising from this video: where in the world is solar and wind power actually decreasing electricity rates (without creative accounting)? Does the carbon free energy produced over a wind installations lifetime ever make up for its carbon footprint from manufacturing and construction? Once accounting for essential backup power and new transmission infrastructure, how much does wind and solar actually reduce carbon dioxide emissions, if it does reduce emissions at all?

You have to watch for the common switcheroo techniques business class greens use when answering these types of questions. When they talk about how great things are they silently include renewables like hydro and biomass but they just as silently switch back to only wind and solar when it comes to how to reach new renewable energy goals. They use levelized cost which excludes intermittency costs. And, of course, the deliberate confusion created by promoting installed capacity of wind and solar while completely ignoring the poor rates of actual annual energy production. A new one is such and such “saved” a certain amount of CO2 emissions from being released (a big red flag that you’re being subjected to creative accounting and manipluated numbers because CO2 emissions weren’t reduced)

  7. ‘green’ energy.
so far, the only ‘green’ I KEEP seeing is the green colour of the currency pouring into the bank accts of the propped up outfits getting ms wynnedfarm’s COPIOUS subsidies.

the whole concept of subsidies now completely confounds me. what’s that greek myth about some slob pushing a boulder up the hill only to have it PERPETUALLY roll back down? speaking of perPETual, ‘green’ projects resemble the sales pitch of a perPETual motion machine. stories abounded in the olden days so-and-so creating a perPETual motion machine to the amazement of a host of ‘experts’.

but, but, but, a what TRUE COST ms wynnedfarm? monsieur TURDoo? any word YET on why the Chirese are allowed to dump BILLIONS of tonnes of the dreaded CO2 into the atmosphere? whut, mebbe if we all hold hands the ‘toxic’ CO2 will stay over Chirer? hmmm?

    questions questions questions.
also, I truly have never tweeted in my life; the one fakebook acct I had was fake sose to look up a real acquaintance, (it worked).
Conservatives need to spend some of their precious cash to create a CONSERVATIVE soc media. and stop being a bunch of ‘independent thinking lone wolves’ for once. you will continue to get beat up if you dont hang in together to at least get the friggin thing started up. but, the message is getting out. there is hope.

    1. conservatives you say, say bible thumpers and you got the problem cornered and identified. First couple of years I had discussions about gorebullwarming was with dedicated thumpers, and many of this crowd still support “green” energy and “carbon” taxes. I hold the poop up as a good example. You see, the thumpers are all on board for $$$$ redistribution to 3rd world shitholes!!!

      1. finally something we can agree on there rev 13:18, the only ‘thump’ I wanna hear out of a biblethumper is the ‘thump’ of me hitting them over the head with said bible.
I’ve read various versions, some approx 15 times. the only part the ‘thumpers’ get right is the part about pointing to all the *other* thumpers shouting ‘youse all got it wrong’, ( followed by ‘only OUR version is the correct’ one’). uhuh.
translations of translations of copies of copies of copies. the arrogance just oozes from the thumpers’ mouths.
I did get the message however, mostly the parts about false prophets and the end times sneaking up on us.

they got the date for xmas wrong (search pagan fertility rituals). they got the date for easter (ishtar?) wrong. etc etc.

        1. You’re not much of a history buff, but you may be an a$$ hole. I read a lot of comments, and your ilk (NMewe666) are not conservative by any usual or accepted definition. Both of you may need an exorcism or a stint in a French library.

          1. is that because I don’t jump on the Conservative bandwagon without question?
isn’t that a trait of leftists? do tell, what part of pointing out ‘traditional’ xmas date is WRONG do you object to?
            http://www.humanreligions.info/christmas.html
or any of HUNDREDS if not thousands of citations from the last, oh, 2 millennia . . . .

ooooh lOOk !!! more paganism creeping in !!!
kinda like modern day politics, cater to the ‘outsiders’ in order to, well, these days, *WIN ELECTIONS* (sound familiar?)

  8. Ghost of ed
    I thought the same, ontario
And turdeau is bound and determined to do the same plan right across the country, afterall some of his advisors
Worked in mcguinty, wynne offices before jumping ship and moving to ottawa.

  9. I’ve spent quite a bit of time in MN. Almost as left wing as CA.
    Can’t somebody just build a solar/wind pipeline?

  10. I dont know why conversion from coal to natural gas (methane) combined cycle is ignored. Lower input cost, about half the co2 emissions, and almost no particulate or NOx. Zero infrastructure changes needed.

Most of the coal power plants in Alberta are scheduled for conversion well before Notleys deadline. There’s a reason for that.

    1. Not that long ago many environmentalists did approve of natgas as not only a cleaner alternative to coal but as a companion to green energy and as a transition fuel until the development of technology breakthroughs. Then 1)natgas became cheap, making it a competitor to wind/solar and 2) business class greens, crony capitalists, figured out there was way more money to be made in wind and solar 3) politicians have more opportunities for graft with wind and solar.

Only hydro, nuclear and natgas are viable alternatives to coal. Natgas has the advantage of being cheap to build, can be built almost anywhere and, unlike nuclear, doesn’t have a huge fear factor. A clever, devious politician would build as much natgas generation as possible to replace coal while making empty promises about wind/solar. That way voters and businesses would have affordable, reliable power and cut they’ve cut CO2 emissions by about 50% without any expensive, unreliable wind/solar. Since skilled labour, switchyards and all other infrastructure are already in place at closing coal plants, locating natgas generators nearby makes economic sense.

    2. Unless the hydro is already established it’s unlikely it’s viable. manitoba spent over 10 billion on one 700mw plant!

      1. Big hydro projects are becoming a nightmare. Too bad more weren’t built where feasible decades ago. Dams and reservoirs have an important role to play in flood and drought control, regardless of global warming. Smaller projects that disrupt fewer property owners.

  11. Freezing in the dark, awaiting your quanta of electrons is the future for Canadians.
Does any of these promoters of wind and solar notice their premise?
That you the consumer, will modify your lifestyle to match the available energy.
This is what all remote stand alone electricity users know.
Either run the genset or change your plans to suit the energy availablity.

In todays “progressive” society we are more likely to have the “elites” demanding that everyone else use power at prescribed hours, to avoid the special ones being inconvenienced.
Oh and tough shit if the wind drops during darkness and your refridgerator runs out of juice.
    Welcome to Africa suckers.

The actions of Gang Green are an all out assault on modern life, they are repulsed by the idea that all the poor brown persons of this world might have what we take for granted.
Reliable electricity, which means clean water, safe food storage, instant communication, pushing back the darkness..
The active evil of our haters suggests they fear the light and desperately seek to extinguish it.
Liberalism is a progressive disease, liken to gaseous gangrene and rust.
