More Violence In Saskatoon

Aboriginal youth gangs swarming festival goers and robbing buskers at the Fringe.
A weekend house party on Ave. H ending with 17 year old stabbed to death over a baseball cap. While police “interview witnesses” the home invasions by revenge seekers have begun – one involving the grandparents of a youth who was at the party. When they couldn’t find him, they trashed their home and vehicles.
Last night a 52 year old man answered a knock at his door and was hit with a baseball bat by one of four home invaders in masks. Holding a knife to his throat, they demanded cash and his video game system. A fourteen and a sixteen year old are in custody.
The mother of a witness to the Ave. H murder spoke on radio this morning. They are living in fear. There have been bricks through their windows and threats. In her words – “My son witnessed the murder. They know who it is. Why don’t they just go get him?”
Just another week in Saskatoon.

  1. Thank goodness we have the Young Offender Crime strategy of hot chocolate and field trips to protect us. Don’t forget long singalongs to the tune of “It’s not your fault you are a antisocial degenerate”. Kudos to the various levels of government in following the socialist strategy of maintaining law and order through forceful capitulation.

  2. This looks like far more than than a normal law enforcement problem. Yet, I suspect there has been nothing more than routine resources allocated by Federal and Provincial authority.
What a shame. Paying for a specially skilled task force to neutralize and disband these groups now will be far better than allowing these gangs to solidfy.
In fact, doing nothing preventative now, means authorities are knowingly inviting far bigger problems and tax expenditures in the near future.
Citizens of Saskatoon have a social crises more serious than a flood or hurricane. Citizens should demand and expect emergency help from Ottawa.
Ottawa boasts a budget surplus. This is where spending money now will save losing big money in the future. 73s TG

  3. Wonder why we don’t have more home invasions where I’m from?…Oh, yeah. Because it would be a great way to get your ass shot off.

  4. We have the same gang problems in Toronto. Concealed carry would be an excellent remedy, but don’t look for it to come to a city near you in the near future.
Meanwhile, for those bleeding hearts who think that we need to talk about this more with the wayward youth, I suggest the following…
The police cannot undertake societal engineering that will be significant enough to address the underlying causes of gang violence. Playing basketball in the community is necessary for a variety of reasons, but does little to replace a generation of missing fathers. Therefore, kicking butt and locking up thugs for years must be the primary mission.
Make a list and check ’em off – whether dead or doing ten years hard time.

  5. Almost forgot…
The gangs in Toronto are now hunting police officers. For the second time in a week, uniformed Toronto Police officers have come under sniper fire while patrolling the notorious Jane – Finch corridor.
Almost 30 people shot and 7 deaths in the last two weeks.
…. and it’s Friday night in Toronto.
Oh well – on with the vest and off to work I go.

  6. They need to throw these giant walking sphincters in jail for a long time. Part of prison may be rehabilitation, but another part that seems to be forgotten is retribution. They have to pay for what they did, no matter how sorry they pretend to be.

  7. So parts of our fair cities are now becoming more like the crime-ridden ghettos in other countries we are used to reading about. I guess it is high time that Canadians were given the right to arm themselves for self-protection, because obviously the police and the courts cannot protect us. Personally, I am not too keen on every nervous citizen being armed with a deadly firearm, but I think stun guns or similar non-lethal devices would make a lot of sense.
Well, at least it makes sense if the punks are coming at you with only their fists or baseball bats. If they graduate to pistols (as they have in Toronto), then look out!

  8. You know who they need to lock up. Criminals like Kate McMillan who have admitted that she drove her car while stoned, and put people’s lives at risk.
Lock her up! She Broke the Law!

  9. Drugcop, you seem to have a spur under your saddle. Do you just have a simple dislike for anyone who is not keen on Liberals, or did you misunderstand a faseicious example by reading it incorrectly as a literal statement?
Hope it’s not arthritis or piles acting up. I hate it when that happens. 73s TG

  10. Go back and read some of Kate’s earlier comments about marc emery. She admitted that she did all sorts of drugs when she was younger. And she even admitted that she drove while under the influence.
    Filthy disgusting criminal bitch.
Lock her up for endangering the lives of people by driving under the influence!

  11. She “Broke The Law”?? But She Got Away With It, right? That means she deserves a Senate seat at least, according to Librano logic. I’m sure Paul Martin will be on the phone today.

  12. LMFAO @ drugcop
    What a buffoon.
It truly is frightening that there are people capable of such irrational thought. Spewing forth hatred and resorting to immature profane name calling – you type contribute soooo much to society.
So thought provoking…so rational and level headed…so very well spoken.
I do like one potential outcome of his new “policing” policy. There would be a lot less traffic (not to mention liberals) if we locked up everyone who EVER committed ANY crime – unfortunately, there would be NO-ONE left to pay the taxes to run the prisons.
But please drugcop, you should start publicly lobbying for this grand idea. It’s sooo crazy it just might work…

  13. Sniper attacks on uniformed cops in Toronto? You know it’s a good thing Canadian men didn’t get sent to Iraq. They might be in danger of getting ambushed over there.

  14. I do not agree with those who would postulate that all citizens owe total allegiance to whatever laws the government of the day feels like promulgating.
I do agree with Thomas Jefferson, who said that “Of liberty I would say that, in the whole plenitude of its extent, it is unobstructed action according to our will. But rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add ‘within the limits of the law,’ because law is often but the tyrant’s will, and always so when it violates the right of an individual.”

  15. Tony: A bad government makes bad laws ; it is a citizen’s duty to get rid of bad governments. Laws are made for reasons – if a law is unenforceable then it is not a legitimate law and therefore not a crime if said law is broken. Laws must be enforced with real penalties or again, they are not legitimate. Canada is ‘ruled’ by a broken down mob a of hucksters who do not ask for and do not get, respect. The policemen are in business with the broken down rulers (at the higher levels), a huge number of the citizens have bought the husksters sales pitch and are on the bankroll. What a mess!! There is no honor in this type of governing. It will get worse because the Canadian people are not willing to pay for their freedom. Freedom is not a ‘given’ it is a ‘taken’ and a group that breaks it’s own rules (Liberanos) will certainly steal freedom from ‘subjects’ who threaten their stolen right to other people’s freedom.
Stalin used to ‘plant’ harden criminals in gulag cells to divert the prisoners attention from their jailers to the criminals. Worked for years.

  16. drugcop: The consumate example on how the mentally ill are running loose in this country. Your insane mentality is much more of a threat to Canadians than all the drug users put totheher as you swine cowards, have no decency when you are so-called “straight”, if one can define a mentally derranged sober person “straight”.
How do you like the following “drugcop,” and I will get a few people angry when I say this, but I will make the point anyway.
I drove Taxi in Toronto for 2 years, I was an owner taxi driver in Mississauga and later an Airport Limosine Owner Driver for 4 years, I was a Taxi owner in Edmonton for two years, and I drove taxi for two different taxi co.s for two years,in Victoria and to hazard an educated guess, I would say that 65 to 85 percent of the drivers were stoned during the course of their shift. Now that is only the Taxi drivers. I know bus drivers that toke before they get behind the wheel, I know train engineers that toke before they climb on board their engines, drove a lot of them. I know policemen that have their favorite “smoke” holes while on the job, and then we can get into Lawyers, Doctors, and Teachers Politicions etc. However how many accidents did you read about the huge percentage of Taxi drivers have had. Or Bus Drivers, etc. I have driven from coast to coast in Canada, and all down through the States and I was stoned the whole time. I have been smoking grass for 35 years and no problem with the law both traffic and criminal code. I know you will say to yourself ‘”BS” your just saying that to make a point,” well at 77 I am too old to tell lies, and besides I am known as a decent man.
Smoking grass while driving can have a very positive effect on the drivers ability to keep their mind on their driving, they are relaxed, and passive, and involve themselves in worth while conversation, or listens to ralaxing music. There is no alcohol involved with the majority of drivers, they don’t need it, thats why they smoke and it does wonders to calm a driver down and avoid road rage.
I see hate in your heart as well as being very uncouthh using jail-house language to express the hatred in your heart. I would say that a few Sundays in church might teach you some manners and sivility, but then I have to wonder if you know what that means, and you do not have to be a “religious extremist to learn the art of love, and compassion and understanding.
It is people of your ilk that are the problem in Canada, you are the problem not the solution, and we have to do more to not only securing a “just” Justice system but a way to rid society of the uncouth, and those that hate, such as yourself. Hate does not build a country, are you affiliated with a terrorist group? It sounds that way,you show similar hatred for your fellow infidel:
You should be ashamed of yourself for showing yourself to have no respect for yourself let alone others. Do you think it is mocho to use foul language, it is the heighth of ignorance. The headchoppers learn from your ilk. And to think that my comrades have died in wars to support the likes of YOU, they are rolling over in their graves at the thought.
My suggestion to you is “GROW UP” and try to be a man, isnstead of what sounds to me to be a “jail-house” rounder!
Please inform me of one driver that has been charged for impared driving while smoking grass, I have not heard of one. Just grass, not mixed with booze.

  17. drugcop: I ahould have added that you owe the decent posters on this site an apolgy for your uncouth behavior, and especially Kate who has provided a postive, usefull medium for decent people to espouse their views on politics etc. to have political discourse, not a place for “rounders” to dirty up this site. If your vile mouth keeps up, for the sake of the decent people who are expressing legitimate views on this site, whether they are agreed to or not I would hope that Kate tell you to go to hell, and cut you off the site all together, you are a cancer on this site that needs chemotherapy big time.

  18. On the other hand, I doubt that Thomas Jefferson would have encouraged operating dangerous equipment under the influence of a lack of alertness. I believe he was in favour of responsible behaviour.
Be alert! Canada needs more lerts.

  19. I am an adult. I reserve the option to disobey any authority, at my discretion, on any matter. I am willing to accept responsibility for my actions. I am careful in my risk assessments. Your mileage may vary.

  20. “drugcop: The consumate example on how the mentally ill are running loose in this country.”
I’m one of the mentally ill, and I’m a damn sight more functional than drugcop, thank you. You owe me an apology.

  21. Jema54, I like the way you put it above, and especially where you say * Its a citizen’s duty to get rid of bad government*.
Problem is, weaning Quebec off generous Liberal bribe.s.. handouts will not be easy.
Conservative goal is to really turn out the vote. Converting apathy to action is the real challange. 73s TG

  22. Libel issues – plus she has a habit of issuing threats – from threatening Raskolnikov’s job to threatening me with everything from charges under hate laws to sicin’ the Indian Posse on me. (On a comment I deleted last night).
Does anyone have the contact info for her husband? Someone needs to know how close she is to meltdown and that she needs help.

  23. My name is Meaghan Walker Williams and I have a problem.
I troll websites looking for attention, under a variety of assumed names, using various proxy agents, attacking those who disagree with me, declaring that Indian gangs are not the prime source of crime in Saskatoon, while at the same time threatening to contact them to do the owner of this website harm.
It is not just this blogger – I have also threatened to have the Indian blogger Raskolnikov fired for daring to state the obvious – that people like me are a parasite on the very people they claim to want to help.
That without Indian crime, Indian poverty and Indian despair, I wouldn’t have any purpose in life, and would be forced to return to my role as a mother.
My little boy is somewhere this fine Sunday afternoon. I do not know where, as I have been engaged in non-stop comments section trolling for nearly a week at blog sites too numerous to mention, under the initials MWW and others.
    Thankyou. I hope you understand.
If I have a family member out there who still cares enough to do something, please take me to a qualified health professional. I need help with this obsession.
