Presumptuous of you to assume that I support any political party at all! Nice insults, Steve. What is your basis for your screed? I said nothing that was in support of the Liberals, nor did I say anything that would have me pegged as left, right or any wing. I really only said that your biases are affecting your ability to discern satire. For this I get to be on the receiving end of your presumptuous insults? Wow. I hope there aren’t more like you at home. The CPC is having a hard enough time getting any level of support, and that kind of behaviour is not helping at all.
By the way… what on earth is a “moonbat”?
    BCL.

  2. BCL, anyone who supports the CBC, in my opinion, supports, at least by extension, the state, as the CBC is effectively the mouthpiece of the state, which is tightly controlled now by the Liberals. Therefore you support the Liberal Party. Don’t you actually?
You are presumptuous as well for assuming I’m “biased” against the CBC. Why is it that one is “biased” when one clearly states one’s opinion of something? Giving an opinion one way or another, in your view, therefore, entails “bias” in a like direction?
As I pointed out before, you accused me of myopia and of having a narrow worldview. I asked you to justify this accusation. You haven’t, and instead chalked up my honest human error of omission (I was actually under a state of caffeine withdrawal at the time) to “bias”.
I also recognized the epithets of “myopia” and “narrow worldview” as ones commonly used by leftists to unjustly degrade their conservative intellectual opponents.
If it’s ok for you to make assumptions about me, then it’s also ok for me to do the same wrt you. It’s only fair.
What’s not fair of you is extrapolating from the one, me, to the many, the CPC. I was speaking for myself, not for the party. Understand? Besides, I hadn’t identified my party membership in this thread, as far as I remember, so you assumed again, unless, of course, you were already aware of it.
If you wish to learn the meaning of “moonbat”, there’s something called “Google”. Surely you’ve heard of it? While you’re at it, why not look up “asshat” as well? 😉
