Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

I agree biting criticism and unlike the original lot these cartoons actually have wit.
A cartoon that says it all!!
See Richard Gwyn’s excellent column in the Star, Feb 24:
“`Clash of civilizations’ really a feud over Islam”

I’ve always had a lot of admiration for how most cartoonists can send brutally honest and thought provoking messages with their drawings.
HOWEVER,I’m very dissappointed in the lot,who having become part of the story, have lost perspective.
These cartoons and resulting fallout have NOTHING to do with free speech. The story is about a radical group using any and all means to incite hatred to motivate and recruit followers. To not be strong on this message,I believe,is a great disservice to readers.
Canadian Observer:
“To not be strong on this message,I believe,is a great disservice to readers.”
Just had to re-iterate that last sentence of your comment. It’s what I believe – do it right by telling the whole story. The tepid mo-toons are a very weak spark in a very gassy room.
I like this gallery the best…
