  1. What’s wrong with the Green Brier? It’s a local watering hole, one that has served the area for decades. There’s a Chicken Delight attached to the Brier as well. A real community fixture, word would travel fast from that venue.
    Typical tory elitist.

  2. Don,they specifically directed them to the ” beer vender ” to sign the petition.I hope that wasn’t the only place they chose to have the petition available.
BTW,this partisan bullshit just devalues your validity.

  3. And Observer? Check out the blog where the comment came from. It’s not a haven of independant thought.

  4. Don, choosing a church, a mall, the neighborhood supermarket….I can think of more commonsense venues to host a dead child’s petition than a pub.
Not knowing the details, but if mudering mom and boyfriend were raging alcoholics or druggies the pub venue is even stupider.

  5. Why the hell should anyone demand the head of the Minister for such a tragedy? No government can prevent these entirely. That is the real partisan bullshit here.

  6. Randall – these are just a few of many that have bubbled up. Believe me, there are many, many more…
On the location, years ago I worked in First Nations Housing as a designer fresh out of school. The “company” as part of business used little influentials to score those huge contracts paid for by the government. At the time we had our own private plane and a couple times a week it would be stocked with KFC and would head north to such places as God’s Lake or Norway House.
Other days we would mix it up and fill it with Big Macs but that was slowly phased out as the chicken was in such high demand. In fact, it became a required staple that we had to adhere to.
Google Green Briar and check the location…

“Not a haven of independant thought”
So I hear you saying that the thoughts written are not out own?
We’re typically not allowed to have independant thoughts and we usually leave that all up to the likes of Phil Fontaine or Clement Chartier to speak for us. That has seemed to work out good so far and we will look at correcting the problem and give our brains a shake. Our apologies for the little blip that crept out.
