Yesterday the Saskatchewan Gov’t announced the members of the Enterprise Saskatchewan Entrepreneurship Council. A truly impressive list of accomplished people. I do suggest reading their bios. (PDF, 2pp.)
Now when I was reading that, a filament of memory was electrified and I just had to do a check and see if there had been an update or not.
Nope.
Maybe the B&R crowd has something? Hmm, no.
Odd. I would have thought that when six of ten seats on the council go to successful and influential women the various feminist blogs and forums would be trumpeting their success.
I guess I was wrong.
Cheers,
lance
Wasn’t the correct group of women it seems….
I don’t know who the women from Breadnroses or the ReginaMom represent. Their sites are filled with nothing but hate and contempt for anyone who is not as hateful as they are. Imagine if you were a child raised by such an angry mother? What chance would you have in life? I thank God that most women are kind, considerate and loving and that these women from these feminist sites are a small minority.
hahahahahah, the chances of Canadian feminist groups congratulating truly accomplished females is not going to happen.
It much easier to wallow in their pity and scream into the night how men are holding them back.
The victim class of Canadian women can never be happy that other women are successful.
It exposes them for the lazy skanks they are, always looking for a handout, blaming others for their failures, unable to accept their own reality that they have failed themselves, their friends and their families but must blame somebody else for their pitiful lack of success.
Failure is a tough love teacher. Some people learn their lessons and prosper from them. Others look in the mirror, say it is not my fault and blame someone else for their pathetic lives.
Aye-ep. The board of the new Saskatchewan Entrepreneurship Council includes six women, all of whom are either presidents or CEOs or Business Development specialists. None of them list any “women’s organizations” as part of their description.
ReginaMom says that out of the 300 invitations to businesses and business groups asking for their nominations for individuals to serve on Enterprise Saskatchewan, “a grand total of two were issued to women’s organizations.” Well, how many invitations were sent to “Men For Social Justice”- type groups?
When you think of “women’s organizations,” with all the political baggage that entails, your first thought isn’t “enterprise” or “business,” but funded opposition to enterprise and complaints that business and profit is a heteronormative patriarchal structure.
ReginaMom says that, according to the authors of Ladies Who Launch — is that a magazine for bulimics? — “women think creatively different than men.” Maybe, but businesswomen probably don’t.
Fetus Fetishist Watch (Hot topic apperently)
I think that about sums up this doggie.
There response correlates exactly with the Democrats response to Sara Palin. I’m not surprised that Regina Mom is working on a hate-filled anti-Palin article for Planet S.
They are so focused on being victims that they can’t celebrate the success of other women.
As a woman, it’s embarrassing and I certainly would not want to be lumped in with them.
We need someone to start blogging as “The Other Regina Mom” from a conservative point of view. Anyone?
“Success” for these “women” such as TRM etc,is when they drag women down to their level.Whinny, bitchy, blame men meme spouting, negative failures. The 6 selected are against everything women orginizations stand for. They made it without gubbermint tit-sucking.hey made it without quota or fair-sex practices(whatever the hell they are!).Or,and this is the big one, they made it without having to kiss the jackboots are their more elitest cousins.
I like to hate radical feminists as much as the next person but I believe the diagnosis of ‘jealousy’ is incorrect.
To recognize advances by women is to weaken their own position. It’s for the exact same reason they simply REFUSE to highlight the many advantages over men that women already have in our society.
Even the whole concept of womanhood as being a ‘minority’ is nothing more than marketing born to create an image of being downtrodden. Gotta keep those taxdollars flowing in.
My late wife was a stay at home mother that was worth TEN of the so called progressives that sulley the female gender. These people are a blight on the female gender. My wife was a true artist that NEVER received a nickle of govt.funding for her work and viewed with absolute distdain anyone that would take govt dole to finance their so called artistry.
Its the same old story over and over again. If women are included by a “left” governing body, that means something. If its from a “right” governing body well…… there has to be an angle. There must be a “hidden agenda”. These people are soooooo predictable. Just like with Sarah Palin. When she burst onto the scene the Left was shaking in their comfortable collective boots. But, the Left and the MSM got together and decided to launch an all out attack on this good woman in an effort to redicule her to the point where she is irrelevant to the voting public.
That is the modus operandi of the Left. If its not of “us” it is to be scorned.
Feminists confound “women” and “feminist” when it suits their ideological purposes. When they say they want more “women” in power, what they really mean is “more feminists”.
They complain that Harper doesn’t have enough women in his cabinet. But even if he did, it still wouldn’t be a victory for feminism, seeing as most of them would be socially conservative, or at least more socially conservative than the average feminist.
You can’t win with feminists.
Those feminists seem to be anti-women.
Suzanne, but there we go again with the perpetually victimized and offended classes’ outlook.
Nothing is ever good enough for the “I demand social justice”-types who seem to act on their own perceived shortcomings by criticizing, lashing out and even viciously attacking those whom they think are responsible for their own situation, “status” or lack thereof.
The corrections to these problems are always in the form of government action.
Haven’t you got the memo yet? If a woman is not vociferously pro-Abortion, at least hints that she hates men, vows to never vote for a conservative party, then she is not really a woman.
Oh boy. Just look at who one of these feminists, Bernadette Wagner, has been writing for: the CBC and rabble.ca — quite the citations for her, eh?
Just so typical. On either the government gravy train or ranting, raving, and rabble-rousing.
As others have pointed out, these feminazis will never be content because admitting success would mean turning off the government-victim-funding spigot.
And that would never do.
Sounds like the type of people we want on this committee. Business people on a business committee not social engineers. We have had that strategy in the past and where has it taken us, no where.
Great job Brad, look forward to hearing from this group of professionals.
Haha – stupid ReginaMom.
