  1. I hope the background information was made up. I fear that there is too much detail there, so that those who know the players can figure it out. Assuming it matters.
But yes, without more like him, nothing will change after the US leaves.

  2. Kudos to those who didn’t back down in Iraq and freed the people from terrorist rule. May Uday and other butchers that supported the regime never rest in peace.

  3. Wow! What an amazing story! Should be reqired reading for all federal politicians in the US & Canada.

  4. Obama’s aunt got permission to stay in the USA, years after a deportation order was issued, and Obama won’t get this man and his family Visas?

  5. Man, to have that kind of courage and tenacity (and balls). No Visas? Disgusting.

  6. Great story, too bad it’s not likely going to have a happy ending. This is the type of guy one would want as an immigrant but obviously he’s not the type of person that Obozo wants to come to the US.
In early 2003 I remember some heated arguments between myself and friends of mine about the wisdom of the US invading Iraq. At the time I was against invading Iraq because of the distressing US tendency to never finish the job they start. Once the US invaded Iraq, I’d hoped that they would stay long enough to make the loss of lives worthwhile. Unfortunately, as expected, they’re leaving too soon and will probably wonder why the place has fallen apart again a few years in the future.
