Liberal Viewpoints vs. Mental Delusions

This recent commentary by Bill O’Reilly is most fascinating. Listen very carefully to what the liberal pundits are espousing.
Isn’t it absolutely amazing how a group of individuals can invent a complete delusion about threats from “far right Christians”? No evidence, no facts, no nothing. In the old days one would say that such individuals had mental delusions and needed to be under the care of a psychiatrist. Does it now just suffice to say, “Oh don’t mind him, he’s just a liberal” ?

  1. Actually, it would be surprising if the majority of the “journalists” did not talk to their “analyst” head shrinker.
It maybe more the norm then an exception.

  2. O’Reilly, who can sometimes be off-putting, actually did a great job on this subject. Later on that show he had liberal Alan Colmes ( once upon a time the bad side of Hannity and Colmes) on his show and it was downright enjoyable to see the Colmes squirming and covering up with a nervous laugh…he clearly wished he was back with his NPR groupthink followers.
It’s nice to see the politically correct weapons of the progressives face High Noon.

  3. Kate; am already using “liberal” as a pejorative it really works as the the previous denigrators of conservative change the subject quite quickly.
    I don’t let them. Cheers;

  4. jess – are some Muslims a violent threat in Europe and North America? Are some Christians a violent threat in Europe and North America?
For the bulging “Liberalism is a mental disorder” files: We’re talking about people – leftists – who refuse to acknowledge a real, verifiable danger from a group of people who keep killing, and instead indulge in paranoid fantasies about a group of people who don’t kill, oppress or threaten anyone (Timothy McVeigh was not a Christian. Christianity is a religion, not a catch-all for anyone Ezra “the Constitution is old and hard to read” Klein considers a hillbilly).
I like this – I like how out of touch (with reality) the left is showing itself to be. I can keep watching and watching. On the negative side I had a dream about having an extended and quite cordial round-table discussion with Paul Krugman last night; this I can do without.

  5. Jess, are you friggin’ kidding me?! What O’Reilly said is spot on! A key part of Leftist thought is that if you are willing to talk with your enemy and dangle a few “carrots” in front of them, then they will see the error of their ways and come over to your way of thinking.
We don’t have to look any further than our own Jack Layton. Why on earth do you think he has the nickname, “Taliban Jack”?!? It’s because he proposed that fighting the Taliban was wrong and that all that was necessary was to sit down and talk with them. His views aren’t the exception, they’re the RULE on the Left!
As such, many, MANY Leftists are dismayed with Barack Obama’s increased drone attacks against Radical Islamists. But the MSM won’t dwell on it because it’s not part of their modus operandi to criticize Democrat presidents for actions of war. Such criticism is solely left towards Republican presidents.
You, a woman of the Left, are proof positive of the realization that people on the Left, especially the Far Left, are living in a completely different reality.

  6. I honestly believe progressive liberalism is a mental disorder, that’s the only explaination that explains why liberals act like they have a hive mentality whilst desplaying a sense of arrogance and superiority over non-Illiberals.

  7. Rose, you raise an important issue. Case in point is Ron Schiller’s recent outburst of UTTER HATRED, caught on a hidden video recording. So much of what he said was PURE FICTION. His portrayal of who makes up up the Tea Party in America might help him sleep better at night but there’s little to no truth to it. But it’s so much easier to hate people who you portray as “evil” than it is to hate nice people who you simply disagree with.

  8. Zoloft in the water? Ooops that is eliminationist rhetoric against liberals.. Sorry.

  9. Consistency at SDA:
“But it’s so much easier to hate people who you portray as “evil” than it is to hate nice people who you simply disagree with.” Robert W @ 2:17
“You, a woman of the Left, are proof positive of the realization that people on the Left, especially the Far Left, are living in a completely different reality.” Robert W @ 1:57
    Personality disorder much, dude?
And let’s throw in for good measure:
“I honestly believe progressive liberalism is a mental disorder” – Rose

  10. As long as the Moslem hearings MAY possibly turn into a “circus”, we need to get prepared.
We need to,no, MUST send Paul Szabo to participate.
Otherwise the circus would , well, be short one clown.

  11. Jess dear, for the record “wisdom” isn’t spelled “wisodm”.
Of course Barack Obama is a Leftist at heart. But he’s also a pragmatist. He very much is betraying his Leftist principles by carrying on the drone attacks that Bush started.
But your comrades in the MSM will barely speak out against him, which shows their complete lack of objectivity and fairness.
Isn’t it about time you returned to your feeding trough at CBCNews.ca?!?

  12. “Liberalism is a mental disorder.”
It could be. But I’m leaning more to the possibility that it is an actual brain-wasting disease.

  13. One thing, though, can’t be repeated enough; honestly, I don’t think a lot of people really get this. For liberals, it’s (often) not about truth, facts, reality, ideas or arguments; it’s about class. It is not about what you believe, it’s about who you are. Sarah Palin can be proved right a hundred times, but she’s still what upper-middle class liberals like Schiller and Schiller and all the rest of them think of as a hillbilly. To them, she’s not a conservative because she’s a moron, she’s a moron because she’s a conservative. Ann Coulter can be right about everything, but she’s still a clown: Oh, ha ha, that stupid nasty joke woman.
Consider this: You’ve not only never heard a leftist apologize for supporting the Soviet Union, you’ve never even heard one try to cover his tracks on supporting the Soviet Union. Because it’s not about being right, morally or factually, it’s about being the sort of person who says the right sort of things because he’s our sort of guy. There is a real misunderstanding here, and because of that liberals and conservatives are often talking at cross-purposes.

  14. jess – you’re certainly not worth responding to for the most part (I mean, why “Robert” in scare-quotes? His name and picture are right up there at his link; he’s not an anonymous coward like I am, he has his own blog) but I would like to point out just as a sort of time-waster that you are the only one who has brought up “the n-word”. You. Noone on this thread other than you. You have race on the brain. It’s called projection.

  15. I believe he was born in Hawaii, but he’s hiding something (religion? Listed identity of father? Commonwealth citizenship?) or he would have released the long form certificate (there’s an off chance that he’s leaving the info in limbo to keep people off balance). But anyway, birth-place has nothing to do with race; again, your weird connection, noone else’s.
Now the Truthers – they tend to blame the Mossad, shadowy Zionist conspiracies in the U.S. govt. – “what do you suppose your side’s really trying to say there, hmmmmmmmmm?
    ;)”
And Obama is a socialist. Again, what’s that got to do with race?
For your sake, jess, I sincerely hope that you’re some 15-year-old who’s mad at mom and dad and that this is mostly the hormones talking. Enough with you, though. Bedtime.

  16. You don’t wanna bring up the birther stuff here, jess. Half these clowns actually believe Obama is a “secret muslim” who was born on mars and wants to destroy the western nations so that his communist reptilian overlords can more easily subjugate the earth. Or something along those lines, anyway; they’re never exactly clear on the overall scheme.

  17. The big zero has just ensured that no black man will ever become US president again. He’s also set race relations back 50 years; one of his more minor blunders.
What surprises me is that we haven’t seen a copy of BO’s birth certificate, nor have we seen his university transcripts. Perhaps university performance and IQ data is only considered to be socially acceptable to release for white presidential candidates. Race has little to do with it and BO would be a moron regardless of his race. Hopefully people will see his presidency as the utter failure of affirmative action.
Alex, you seem to be channeling David Ick and, aside from supporting his right to say WTF he wants, I don’t think any of the regulars on SDA are big fans of his ideas.

  18. “Half these clowns actually believe Obama is a “secret muslim””
Well, if you are going to use misstatement by Huckabee where he said Obama was raised in Kenya, rather than Indonesia, where he was raised, then I guess you have to add Obama to those who think he is a secret Muslim. After all, Obama said “my Muslim faith” and was corrected to the word “Christian” by George Stephinopolis.
The funny thing is that Obama didn’t really mispeak, except for maybe a poor piece of phrasing, but Stephie jumped right in to “correct” him, what was in Stephie’s mind there?
The point is that cases of misspeaking don’t really prove much, you can prove anything with them if you want

  19. I wasn’t using any misstatements, tim – I was going off of what I’ve read in the comment section in SDA, in the past. AFAIK Huckabee doesn’t comment here, so I don’t see why you’d assume I was referring to him when I was clearly speaking about SDA regulars.
Thanks for the rational comment, though – it’s a nice change of pace. You’re absolutely right; misstatements (just like quotes taken out of context) can be made to “prove” anything, as long as the intended audience is gullible enough.
