  1. I had to laugh at the line about her being on disability for a problem with her legs. The jokes just write themselves on that one.
And what happened to her teeth? She’s only 39.

  2. This is why the third world flocks to the UK and other western countries by the millions.
The problem for the left is that if you cut off welfare and entitlements by skin color, the third world would stay home. Without the third world immigration we wouldn’t have community disharmony, occasional anarchy, and votes to keep the liberal crazies in power.
End welfare across western nations. There will be much pain at first (lots of “youth” riots) but it’s better to take our lumps now for this Liberal lunacy than later. The anarchy is coming eventually, it has too.

  3. ” I’m just barely existing…”
Yeah, with a flat screen TV and a house full of crap she doesn’t need.
“…the kids ask what am I going to do when I get older…”
I not sure lady, but I’ll tell what you should have done when you were younger: KEEP YOUR DAMN LEGS CLOSED AND WOULD BE IN THIS MESS YOU LAZY STUPID STEAMING GIT!

  4. Divert HER cheque to after school programs (pseudo daycare I know)once her brood is old enough. Then cut the bitch off.

  5. I think the story would have been more purposeful if we had heard about her parents too. For example, did they work or were they also on the dole. Also, it seems that she had 3 children by three different men. Why are none of those men being held financially accountable? Finally, a comment or two about why the dole system continues to pay for repeated poor judgement (i.e., multiple children) certainly would have been appropriate.

  6. $20K + day care funding for the grand child.
I couldn’t help but laugh when she said she was devastated that her 17 year old daughter got pregnant, with the next clip being her taking care of the daughter and… reaping the child care benefits from the gov to pay for it.
Couldn’t help but notice the nice flat screen. I make well over 100K and don’t have one. Too much other more important things to invest in.
    Funny that, too.

  7. Not surprisingly, the welfare state has stripped the recipients of their self-respect and self-reliance. An absolute catastrophic road down which Canada would be still be heading were it not for the sudden onset of a dose of common sense.

  8. They say there “aren’t jobs”, and yet Polish, Bangladeshi, Pakistani and other immigrants are somehow finding jobs.
    Hmmmm…..

  9. It’s happening in Canada, cradle to grave welfare for womem is now entering generation three. They have more kids better welfare, men trapse through the bedroom door at an alarming rate and eventually one of them will knock up the welfare hoe and the cycle continues. Healthy able bodied females shouldn’t get welfare for more than five years.

  10. Mark
    “Funny that, too”.
What people fail to realize is that the so called rich making over 100K also pay nearly half their income back into the “system”. Along with paying for all the undisclosed benefits that welfare recipients receive, plus day to day expenses required to maintain a working lifestyle (Transportation, daycares, appropriate clothing possibly tools & equipment, parking, trade or professional training/ education etcetera)…… The gap in actual wealth after deductions is not all that great.
Where the real ticket lays in welfare is immigrant welfare.
    http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/audiences/newcomers/benefits.shtml
You can live your entire life in Canada paying into the system and retire on far less than a young uneducated goat herder from Ethiopia sitting on a couch all day watching B’ball on his flat screen TV downtown Toronto.

  11. This whole welfare issue is based on class envy under the ruse of caring for the poor.
Is this what we work for?
    And I do mean work.
    Working since we were 15.
    Working hard.
    Working long.
    Working without complaint.
    Working, working, working.
And we’re the evil rich. Go figure.

  12. I can remember as a kid (during the Thatcher era) seeing a documentary on unemployed youth in Britain. It was at one of these youth centers that a bunch of people were idly sitting around and a ‘social worker’ came in and read off a list of job postings. The camera panned the room to show not a single person paying attention.
To echo Old Lori, the same situation is here in Canada and the US where jobs, deemed beneath the dignity of these parasites, are filled by hard working and eager immigrants (in the US, often the illegal variety) Funny how sitting on your a$$ and collecting welfare is dignified. And then, when those greedy people that work all week long and try to support their family actually want to keep some of the money they WORKED for, well, then it’s time to riot.
The scum turdeau hated everything about Britain, except for the British Welfare disease he brought to Canada.

  13. The important statistic in all this is that the greatest cost in the welfare state is the loss of the people.

  14. And once you take welfare it’s almost impossible to get away from it — social workers can’t keep their hands off of you. If you try to find a job and independence from the system, they keep constant track of you, meddle with your employers and work is pure misery — it becomes an experiment in “employment engineering”. It isn’t your job anymore — it belongs to the “social system” the quintessential “saviour of the poor”, all hail to socialism!
Why work if it no longer signifies freedom, independence, or self-sufficiency? The ideology of the Left bureaucrats who often run social welfare systems is reminiscent of the National socialist Nazis, who, when they were leading Jews to the death camps, convinced them that they were simply being shipped to work camps and perversely placed “inspirational” signs at the entrances of the camps which read: “Work Will Set You Free”.
There’s a difference between socially engineered labour and work which reflects “the fruits of one’s hands”. Social welfare and the resulting employment is not designed to allow human beings to recover that fundamental human dignity resulting from pride in one’s own work.

  15. Reminds me of years ago when a postal strike cut off delivery of welfare checks in Canada
so emergency pickup locations were set up for recipients. Only about half the eligible folks
showed up around the GTA to collect and not a few were in somewhat irritated condition
in taxis piled high with cartons of empty beer bottles. Why half of all welfare cases would
be unable to bestir themselves enough to go pick up their checks was a subject of
profound disinterest as far as the MSM was concerned. The common sense explanation
by ordinary people was that a goodly portion of them were probably cheaters with jobs
they could not get time off from or outright frauds.
There should be a simple rule that no one gets paid to do nothing, you get up early every workday
morning and you carry out work assignments at home and outside in a designated location several
    times a week.

  16. Note how she never said “Thank You” to the working folks who have provided her means of existance for 39 years.

    Workfare?
Seems to me that’s a recipe for expanding the government’s role as an employer.
What I want to see is government cut jobs, not undercut private enterprise.
I understand the need for government housing for some, some people need shelter that they can’t provide for themselves.
I also understand the need for people to eat even if they can’t provide for themselves.
The Americans have it right with a food stamp system.
If the government just gives people money they won’t want to work to provide the extras, like that flat screen TV in the video.
Bare minimun says I; food, shelter, and second hand clothes.
If they want better, they’ll find a way to earn the money to buy it.

  18. At least she had the sense to be “devastated” when her teenage daughter got pregnant. I knew one family from outside Halifax in which three of the four daughters (I don’t know about the fourth)got pregnant as teenagers – unmarried, natch. Their mother thought this was perfectly normal and healthy and seemingly unavoidable.

  19. A lot of single mothers have been convinced that raising their children is a job and that’s how they contribute to society. They consider themselves underpaid and don’t think it’s a handout. It’s money earned.
They have no concept that there are single mothers out there who go to work every day to pay their own way.
Having children in Ontario was also a scholarship program for people on welfare for a long while. the working poor kept working while welfare mothers got free education. Mike Harris ended that.

  20. David:
“Why are none of those men being held financially accountable?”
    1. They are probably unemployed themselves.
    2. They surely didn’t want to be fathers in the first place.
    3. Her body, her choice. She chose to give birth and be a mother. The men probably didn’t, they only wanted sex, which isn’t consenting to fatherhood.

  21. You know, I feel kinda sorry for her. She has a rather crumby life. She is not blameless but the state that set her up this way is more so. I have a niece in Toronto who travels down a similar path. She got knocked up when she was sixteen. The authorities set her up in an apartment and have paid her way for the past thirty years. She even has the similar leg problems as the lady in the video.
What we need to realize is that giving people things makes them dependent. We need to stop doing this. Welfare needs to be difficult to get. I know several well off families that have children on welfare. Their attitude is: well it is there- why not take advantage of it? For example. One family has a fifty acre country estate. Their son is on welfare so he can live “independently”. Unfortunately he is not independent at all but rather dependent on the rest of us.
Britain has a multi generational chasm to climb out from. Here in Canada, I think we can improve things if we pressure the powers that be to do something now.
BTW. My niece has all the benefits of a hardworking life including some that I don’t enjoy- like free dental care.
You can say the system is broke but it never worked.
A good start would be to vote for Hudak in Ontario. He looks a fussy type but at least his election to Premier would start to move things in the right direction.
    Rant off. 🙂

  22. A woman like that at one time would be called “workhus”.
Speaking of which, it is time to bring back workhouses. They
    are perfectly humane, you know.

  23. Whatever happened to “workfare”? You know…if you need assistance you could either do community service work or go to school. Oh yeah….it violates their human rights. What about the rights of those paying the bills?

  24. There is no incentive to get off welfare or even gain any of the skills necessary to get off welfare. Personally, I think that welfare payouts should decrease by 20-25 percent every year unless you are in training or rehab. Having another kid should not be excuse because I remember having classmates in both university and tech college who had young kids at home.

  25. Hey Phantom. Don’t be too smug. We have our own trash. Drive around and have a look. There will always be trash- but what we have created is a petri dish to grow more trash. We need to put that dish in the microwave.

  26. pwc:
    Which brings up the question:
How is it compassionate to take money from the ‘rich’, much less anybody else?
Wait. It’s utopian socialist mantra that the rich got rich by exploiting the poor.

  27. Working is not a virtue in itself, IMO; independence is – and there is a big difference! If a citizen is indebted to the state for his very existence then that citizen is not a free man/woman. The article does not mention that the welfare system ’employees’ a legion of welfare workers and hangers on, it also takes the independent spirit away from all those involved in that ‘welfare business’, making the latter placid and non threatening to the existing ‘power structure’ sort of like the prisoners in a jailhouse. The table that has been set, in Free Nations, by the leftest trash must be unset if the next generation is to have any Liberty or purpose. I know of levels of guments (the Dipper gument in the Yukon was one) that require gument employees to swear an oath of allegiance to the gument before they will be considered for a job!! What free person would even consider doing that? Answer: MANY would and have.
We must change all the cutlery on the table if we ever want to have dignity and freedom. It must be the aim for citizens to be their own boss with their own property and their own society (all separate from the gument and gument interference) if we ever wish to regain the style of life that we had prior to Pearson/Turdo (in Canada) and the Labor gument (after WWII in Britain), before Wilson (in USA).
We have millions, in all three nations, dependant on the gument for their paycheck – welfare or otherwise – all are in the ‘welfare business’. Main goal is to keep the status quo and heir own ‘job’. Sad.

  28. BTW that video I linked at 7:53 should theoretically come with a Horrible, Horrible Language Warning, but since it’s literally impossible to understand a single word anyone is saying it’s sort of redundant.

  29. wnmc, I’m Scots and I’m from Hamilton Ont. We have some world class Scottish trash down here, let me tell you. Ask Shaidle, she’ll tell you.
Black Mamba, you know the official Scots martial art? Its called “F—–CK YEU!” ~:D
I liked that video, it was completely incomprehensible. Even my off-the-boat grand relatives from Glasgow spoke better than that, drunk.

  30. Thanks Phantom. We should all watch Trainspotting again. A funny movie with a great soundtrack that shows the lovely side of Glaswegian life. I am a Highlander. Me middle name be Munro.

  31. Well I’m half English but I’m thinking about burning that passport. It’s just embarassing at this point.

  32. “2. They surely didn’t want to be fathers in the first place.”
Oh, boo freakin’ who. Bottom line, they’re 50% responsible.
“3. Her body, her choice. She chose to give birth and be a mother. The men probably didn’t, they only wanted sex, which isn’t consenting to fatherhood.”
You did NOT just say that.
“…they only wanted sex, which isn’t consenting to fatherhood.”
Oh you did say it. May I suggest a remedial course in basic biology? The sex act is always open to the possibility of conception, which is why it used to be customary to GET MARRIED FIRST. Birth control fails sometimes, people make stupid mistakes, etc. If you don’t wanna be a daddy, zip it. And don’t whine about how unfair it is, like some crybaby adolescent.

  33. Don’t burn your passport Mamba. That would be giving up. The England I grew up in was a lovely place. Mind you, that was a long time ago. I watched the last World Cup win for the English side on the living room floor in Bucks. The famous phantom goal.

  34. Ellie in T.O. said “And don’t whine about how unfair it is, like some crybaby adolescent.”
Well, we are talking about a woman who did get knocked-up first time at 16, so technically…

  36. Black Mamba – Now I know what white trash really is, and boy, is it white and trashy. Losers, all!

  37. Jema: “We must change all the cutlery on the table if we ever want to have dignity and freedom. Although I basically agree with your point about welfare and government jobs as symbols of dependence, I don’t think that making people their own bosses would have an absolutely positive effect, because it is impossible.
There are very few people who would take the enormous risk of starting their own business – the majority of our population is simply not up to living under a constant threat all the time. They’d rather work for someone who would take the risk and pay his workers the weekly wages.
That’s quite different from welfare, where you get your money for doing nothing. Even the lowest job has the advantage of providing a daily structure to your life and creating emotional involvement, because you are always thinking whether your efforts are appreciated enough.
As a copywriter, I have always known that the most powerful marketing appeal is getting something for nothing or nearly nothing. A low-paid job, where you need to prove yourself every day, can never beat the free welfare cheque. That’s why people come up with so many excuses.
I am from Ontario. Do you remember Mike Harris? He wanted to introduce “workfare” asking bums to do something useful to earn their cheques. I naively thought that it was a smart approach. Yet, he was branded “fascist” wanting to impose a Gulag culture on the poor “vulnerable” people. And he was voted out to bring in power an idiot, who brought more misery to our province.
That’s why whether I I listen to the reporter in the clip or the promises of that pansy Cameron, I know that I can’t trust that they would bring any changes. If anybody threatens the bums, they’ll vote him out.
The only solution would come when the money runs out making it impossible to cover the bums’ cheques. That moment is coming faster than I ever anticipated. The European Union will self-destruct within the next ten years and the USA would run out of options to borrow money. As of Canada, I am not sure what is going to happen, because it depends mostly on selling its natural resources.
Anyway, when the money runs out, the bums would either have to take the menial jobs available or fight with the police and the army that will have no other choice but to protect those who still work (if they want to get paid). The great consolation in that situation is that political correctness, white guilt and multiculturalism will fly out of the window.

Kinda reminds one of the wretchedly ungrateful rural conservative welfare bum farmers in Saskatchewan. Except here there are jobs aplenty, but a government only too happy to keep the generational culture of dependence going.

  39. Thanks Phantom. We should all watch Trainspotting again. A funny movie with a great soundtrack that shows the lovely side of Glaswegian life. I am a Highlander. Me middle name be Munro.

Then you should know the action takes place in Edinburgh, not soap dodge city.

  40. Black Mambo.
Thanks for the video of The Scheme. I didn’t know about it. I used to stay in a council house on the edge of that scheme. I have family that still does. When I was there the unemployment rate was 35% and it was the violent crime capital of Scotland. Nasty place. It is very difficult to get out once you’re in there and raising children properly is near impossible. My 11 year old nephew was beaten so bad he spent 2 weeks in hospital.
It is possible to escape but it’s not easy and I don’t think you could do it alone.

  41. Ellie…sex is sex, it is not consenting to fatherhood or motherhood. Females have over 12 different forms of contraception and have 100% control of bringing a baby to fruition. A man has no reproductive rights. She can kill his offspring, no questions asked.
It is interesting you tell him to zip it up when she has 100% control of being a mother or not. In other words, filth like this english broad can enjoy sex, abort or get welfare, but the man gets to pay up if she decides to have the baby and not kill it. LOL…ya that’ll work.

  42. Good points Atlas. What sane guy would hang a millstone like her around his neck for any reason? Talk about tossing an anvil to a drowning man.
Besides, I’m sure if her choices were reduced to “do the work we give you or starve on a street corner”, she’d find a way to be useful. And most likely discover its better to do -anything- than endlessly sitting on your narrow backside in front of the TV.

  43. The single mom phenomenon is growing here, but still not as huge as other places fortunately. But true to form, our social welfare complex is doing everything possible to incentivize government sponsored single motherhood.
