Hope for the Future

BBC Business reporter Peter Day has published a new podcast that provides an historical perspective on recessions/depressions, with a particular focus on the one the world is currently going through. Hopefully you’ll find it inspiring and realize that there is light on the horizon … especially if the economy-killer, Obama, is fired next year.
Update: Or you can just laugh your way into oblivion! (Better than crying) – h/t LC Bennett

  1. That’s a tough listen.
Experts, imo, are the problem, not the solution.
Moody’s called Nortel a strong buy as it fell like a rock from 130$ all the way to 0.75$, as I recall having mutual funds during the “dotbomb”.
    The experts are the problem.

  2. LC Bennett,
that is not only a very funny video I think it hits the nail on the head,I had saw it before and forgot.
the interest payments that makes them do what they do imo, like out of control kids. Downhill I’m afraid.

  3. Financial Doom but, thankfully, humour will still be free.
Seriously, though, with this level of debt and debt holders in the world there is virtually zero chance of saving the existing system. They might as well pay each other back in grains of sand.
There will have to be a complete destruction of debt and existing currencies. Nations will have to value their dollars based on something of concrete value – gold, oil, resources – instead of today’s worthless pieces paper backed by the worthless promises of politicians.

  4. Obama is an economy killer? Do you truly believe that? The Republicans nearly destroyed the economy. My god, left, right or centre, that’s fact.

  5. Blanks, experts are rtainly responsible for general ignorance. When they talk, everyone else must turn off their brains.
