  1. Jeez – how lucky can those politicians be???? Imagine!! – buying and selling land, and buying and selling stocks at JUST the right time! Talk about horseshoes…Can’t be conflict of interest, no siree, just incredible good fortune. Nothing to see here folks, move along.

  2. They have to have some true journalism once in a while.
But the MSM is still playing Name that Party. They identified both Republicans, but the word Democrat was not mentioned once. Not even when Pelosi was on the screen.

  3. de·spic·a·ble   (d-spk-bl, dsp-k-)
    adj.
    1.  Deserving of contempt or scorn; vile.
    2.  Nancy Pelosi
    .

  4. doing their job would be mentioning the democrats as democrats and not sticking both republicans first (and naming their party.)
Still biased. Just not as much as usual. Usually they’d nail the two republicans and stop there.

  5. Three out of 4 named Congressmen (congresspersons?) were Republicans. The only Democrat was Pelosi. The only named Senator was also a Republican. The so-called good guy that drafted legislation to stop it was a Democrat.
I applaud 60 minutes for doing their job, but the way they did it still leaves something to be desired.

  6. I know this will be old news to some here, but for something extremely stinky. Visit Vivian Krause ay Fair- Questions… And might I say” George Soros, keep your stinking hands off of our Country”.

  7. It might have been either Frank Costello or Lucky Luciano who was once quoted to the effect that to his surprise,
politicians, judges, and law enforcement were not only easily corrupted but available for relatively modest sums.
Fixers likely find today’s crop have more expensive tastes, along with many more rent seekers needing “help”.

  8. You all make some excellent points about Republicans being mentioned more than Democrats. Still, I found it stunning that they mentioned Nancy Pelosi. In the Leftist world of the mainstream media, I think that takes guts.

  9. If only there were a law against insider trading, then no one would do it. Oh, wait, congress gets to decide which laws apply to them. Good thing that they’re pure as the wind driven snow.
Downwind from a Chinese industrial zone, maybe…

  10. From a commenter at HotAir;
Was 60 Minutes trying to take the heat off the ObaMao administration’s cozy crony capitalism of bundlers and profiteers by focusing on all of those Republicans?

Especially those who were bailed out from the collapse of the DOE’s investments/failures like Solyndra?

  11. 2 commercials inside of 1 minute when I clicked the vid.
Sorry, I don’t do commercials or watch TV since the spring of 2000, unlike many of you chuckleheads.
Was this another vid put up on SDA so you could complain about the drek that you people voluntarily watch on TV according to the media’s dictates?
Stop watching, stop running your lives on the TV schedule.
Get a clue and get life.
Bread and Circuses citizen, bread and circuses.

  12. We are in the hands of madmen. Who think they can insulate themselves from decisions that effect Nations. This is good by a sideshow looking at the symptoms, but ignoring whats really wrong with a Republic being bleed to death.

  13. CBS is finally admitting to what people have known since the first form of government was established in a cave?
    Colour me shocked.

  14. Predict that the only dem that gets any damage out of this is the one the media and the dems want under the bus.

  15. Kinda reminds me of how Powercorp controlled all of the PM’s from Trudeau to Paul Martin. Gee I wonder how Paul Martin and Jean Chretien went from poor little lawyers from small town Canada to Multi Millionaires when they finally left Ottawa. Powercorp was even appointed to the Privy Council and had access to all Cabinet Documents and decisions before they were public. Who Really Ran Canada all those years. I wonder…. Canada the Kleptocracy. Powercorp connections to PM’s chart. http://westernstandard.blogs.com/.shared/image.html?/photos/uncategorized/connectingchart.jpg

  16. I’m with Oz. A “29-second” commercial right off the bat, then another less than a minute into it.
If I wanted to watch commercials, I’d get a %^*(&*^ TV.
If there is really something in that program that is worthwhile for us to see, Robert, copy the video, edit out the commercials, edit for brevity, and post on a video-hosting site.

  17. Yeah, the start of the second commercial is when I turned it off as well.
    Television is so yesterday. HAHAHA

  18. If its on 60 Minutes, its spin. Not news. I’m not sitting through a commercial to watch those b@st@rds lie by telling -some- of the truth.
I’m with Oz, turn off the TV. Mine’s off, no cable. Closest I get is Netflix, which IMHO is plenty bad enough. American TV shows are mostly propaganda for the Left, ew.
