Maxine Waters got her start in California politics as a “protege” (aka the “casting couch”-Willie Brown and Slick Willie Clinton share that particular propensity) of the notorious Calif. Democrat Machine hack and long-time Speaker of the California House Willie Brown.
Maxine Waters is an archetypal anti-business, hard left Democrat. If you read the linked article about the cunning, corrupt Willie Brown -read between the lines, folks!- you get an excellent view of the political milieu from which Maxine Waters came and of the corrupt, biased mindset of it’s adherents.
As she’s black and has a safe seat in a majority black district, and blacks mostly won’t vote out a black Democrat for any reason, because he/she is black, we’re stuck with this woman in the House unless/until she retires. [No, trolls, I’m not a racist. That’s an objective fact.]

Nationalizing the oil industry – guarantees production declines faster, a loss of efficiency (ROI will plummet), and no second opinion or recourse allowed (once the government decides it should frac your water well, it will!).
Maxine, your stupid plan will only happen when America is no longer America.
