  1. Somebody needs a burning sack of dog feces, wrapped up in a burning tire, rolled into their door.

  2. I’m going to try maximum 2 km round trips myself, once Gore and Suzuki have complied for a few years.

  3. Kate might be suckered in by this one.
IT wasn’t so much the green carbon emissions, but her complaining. I think they just used this to nix an old busybody off the list.
I am happy when an ex-customer leaves due to them being obnoxious and well not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
On one client I used the excuse of distance as well.

  4. If I were her, I’d get a grandson or whomever to track down where the doctors etc. live in relation to the office.
    Embarrassment is a wonderful deterrent.

  5. And mock we shall.
Socialism and global warming combined; what are the odds the doctor’s ditching the patient because she’s a “racist”?

  6. I think it’s also important that the person requiring access to our wonderful Health Care system have the proper attitude.
This lady COMPLAINED! She needs an attitude readjustment before she is allowed back into the system.
I’ve heard quite a few Canadians complain about a two-year wait for an MRI or a six month wait for an ultrasound! To those I’d say,”well it’s a lot better than the American system!!!”
Unless,of course, you die on the wait list. But at least you’ve shown the proper respect for the system, and will probably get a greater reward in Heaven for your patience.

  7. They treat dogs in England a lot better than they treat their grandparents. Anywhere I’ve lived, 2 mile round trip to doctor less than one would have expected. We have this thing called zoning and our doctors group themselves in things called clinics. Next time, let’s join with the Germans and bomb the $hit out of these idiots, for their own good.

  8. Britain – a stupid little country
What Canadians apparently want Canada to be when it grows up.

  9. Would be interesting to check if all the staff at the clinic complied with the 2 km rule. They make the trip every day. Whereas, this old lady would only travel occasionally.
If they came up with this reason as an excuse to get rid of a difficult patient, that is also a stupid move.

  10. And what if – just perhaps – her complaint was totally justified? While there are wonderful doctors, nurses, and staff at the local homes, there are also really bad ones. And one can hesitate to complain lest the care get worse, particularly if an elderly relative is involved.

  11. 83….
One of the features of senior is that they are not generally all sweetness and light. I know I am one. Get over it! I don’t suffer fools gladly either!
Any MD in private practice should know that seniors are frequently difficult patients….not patient at all.
I harboured my father in my home in his declinning years and finally helped carry him out ….a matter of some pride BTW….but it was not always easy…..that goes with the territory.
IMHO this gal genuinely needs a new doctor…..and her current GP needs a thorough re-evaluation.

  12. Kate is correct on the main point. Even if the whole reason behind the GP’s letter was to get rid of an elderly patient who has complained about something, the fact that they would hide the motive behind a patronizing, self-satisfied, sustainability scam calls for mockery and abuse.

  13. Scar
Sadly they treat most old people World wide, like
They should be dead already. Most Old age homes are like mini concentration camps.
