Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

No. See, I have my -own- box of diplomas and I’ve done a lot of work with kids, both brain damaged and normal, even some gifted kids. Six year old kids lack the neural structures to understand the stuff that kid said in the video, the same way new-borns lack the neural structures for speech and walking.
Some people never develop the ability to understand complicated political arguments and economics. This is where Lefties come from. And fiddle too, apparently.
Capitalism is based on creating your own gain. Socialism is based on stealing someone else’s gain. And look at that I didn’t have to read every book in the universe to understand it.

That you managed to explain it so easily has to be insulting to people who have read way too many books
but then again some of them insult us every chance they get,
and some of them show unconditional support to those who insult us every chance they get.
so
Six year old kids lack the neural structures to understand the stuff that kid said in the video, the same way new-borns lack the neural structures for speech and walking.
Nonsense, many home schooled kids can read and write by age six. And certainly can understand simple concepts as stated by Joe.
So far as your diplomas go, education has declined significantly in the past sixty or seventy years.
The sky is blue, fiddle. Don’t matter that you don’t like it, it is still blue.
Well, I’m sure you have a diploma that gives you authority to say that.
Me, I just look up. No credentials required, and I didn’t have to consult a sage…
Just like people who have spent their whole life learning how to play the violin by going to the best schools/academy/conservatoires in the world, then see a fiddler who not only plays as well as them, but learned to play by ear, and attracts a bigger crowd than they do
people with too much education can not take it when someone with less education can understand AND explain with ease something they believe is too complex for us mere mortals
the point they are trying to make is not the issue at hand, no the point they are trying to make is that they are better than us
if this fails
they then take the issue at hand and split it into a dozen sub-topics, and then take those sub-topics and they split them into dozens of less and less relevant sub-topics that are now such a diluted version of the topic at hand that they are IRRELELVENT and you still won’t surrender
then they use bigger and bigger words to try and lose us in what could be described as a maze of smoke and mirrors until we lose sight of the task at hand and cry defeat
and if that fails
then they begin citing obscure authors or as many authors as they can remember, to try and impress us until we cry; you win your highness!
and if that fails
then they resort to claiming that all the things we said in a concise and to the point manner that use facts and logic are well…nor logical nor factual
and if that fails
the they start accusing us of ignoring all the authors and all of the thinkers and all of the philosophers of all time ad of all of the whole universe
If that fails and if more and more commenters agree with the uneducated or not educated enough or not well read enough or not well traveled enough who yet, can explain things better( or just as well) and understand thing better( or just as well, as their concise comments clearly show they do) then they resort to throwing insults and more false accusations
and if that fails
then they gang up on you
and if that fails in you getting on your knees and saying that their superiority is now undeniable and that makes them now your King and Queen
they may ask you to leave or even ask the site author to ban you
or, if by chance they have – at some point in this whole process – simply realized they can not win, then will right there and then ignore you and your comments as if nothing ever happened.
Denial helps them keep this “grandiose” image of themselves intact.
hey but what do I know? I am just little simple me
Well Canadian Friend you are not too wrong in you observations. What I get a real charge out of is those who most often resort to academia speak are those whose degrees wouldn’t qualify them to pour coffee in the real world.
