  1. The online betting site I sometimes use when putting a wager on football or golf is in England.
Today, they have Romney as a large underdog. The are giving 4 to 1 odds on Obama.
Their bookies obviously get their political handicapping from the MSM.
I broke my usual betting limit and placed $50 on Romney.
If I lose, the $50 will be the least of my..and the worlds, worries.

  2. Those long lineups are more an indication of the political afiliation of the poll workers.
Here in Morontario it is always the party in power that provides the poll staff. It’s so obvious it’s stupid.

  3. If Romney/Ryan somehow lose tonight, then the new media sources on the right that I have been frequenting were lying. A lot rests on these results. Every election cycle I prune my news tree based on who was telling the truth, including those on the right. The news tree is getting kinda small. Not much left to prune without killing it.

  4. I wouldn’t call SNN’s results “to the minute” nor CBC’s. CTV? Haven’t checked them. SNN is where I want to watch the election but the slow results are forcing me to watch CNN instead. And CBC? They reported 0.3% of polls in Florida a little while ago — this 10-15 minutes after CNN had reported 4% of polls in… I go back and forth between CNN and SNN… SNN more for the commentary.

  5. No worries .
I will say this , if Obama wins ,it will be all over for America they will have become a socialist/Marxist/communist. Country and that will not bode well for the rest of the world or Americans either.
Not much will change but it will have been proven that the handouts trump hard work and independent pride in ownership.
It is really that simple ,and even if Romney wins , he may get the economy rolling but the debt and all of the problems America faces ..will not be solved even when Romney is in his grave!!!

  6. Gellen, must be nice. I have only the Rogers VIP package which, unfortunately, doesn’t include Fox. Very quick results I’m sure, very in-depth like CNN but with better commentary of course.

  7. I watch only Fox.
Electoral Votes: Obama 3; Romney 49
    ~gellen
FOX doesn’t look very…I’m not sure of the term but ‘convincingly accurate’ is the best I can do.
As I said a week ago and more: Romney in a landslide is what I think will happen.
I’m taking off from even the sporadic watching I’ve been doing today because this is my anniversary when I married Mrs.Oz 29 years ago more or less.(we own our own business and we’re taking 10 days off starting last Friday afternoon)
A curse on Obama, his family, and his evil communist minions; I wouldn’t spend a minute on this today if it weren’t for the fact that life will be so much better without him and so much worse if he wins today.

  8. ” it will have been proven that the handouts trump hard work and independent pride in ownership.”
Paul, that sounds a lot like how our reserves are set up today. The best jobs are the jobs that involve looking after the people without jobs.
This economical model is sustainable on a small basis, but as it gets larger it will cave in on itself. It would be akin to a family supporting the one that is in constant need. Many can support a few ,but as the many decrease and the few increase,it will collapse. And it won’t be pretty.

  9. @Wallyj
Yup , I know this but just remember that!!
That is really what this is about ..is America going to be socialist type of lefty country or are they going to go back to the constitution?
From what I can see right now Obama has this ..so buy gold !!!

  10. And, no surprise, Pennsylvania goes to Obama, following the birth state of Mitt Romney, Michigan.
Rove’s spend to expand the map has not paid dividends.

  11. Keith Baldrey on Global has essentially called the election for Obama, says Romney would need “a miracle” to win.

  12. Yup this looks really bad. Glad I bought more gold recently. America is going down in flames tonight. The caliphate will come to fruition.

  13. And Ryan and Romney have now lost both of their home states. The people who know them best have abandoned them
Without Wisconsin, Romney’s path to 270 is increasingly improbable.

  14. bad for the U.S. Bad for Canada. I don’t think ANY pipeline will be completed…
Is there a PM Mulcair for us in the future too? A definite apocalyptic sign.
    Sigh.
Will make sure I am in church on Sunday, lol

  15. I am calling it for Obama!! Right now …man this is nuts!!!
I mean I understand as a former liberal but they have kept a guy in the White House who has never run or worked at any business in his entire life …..and the people like that !!
Oh well Obama four more years unless he removes the terms for presidents!!!

  16. With Wisconsin down to Obama and Ohio looking strong for Obama, Romney’s night is pretty much over.
That so many Americans consider Obama the best option after his incredibly poor record is simply stunning. Unbelievable.

  17. Yes, it looks like Romney will fall a few electoral seats short. Ohio is a big disappointment, and all those poll experts showing D+7 were inaccurate, were wrong. Witness Ohio and N Carolina
And yeah, the US is going to go down in flames, into bankruptcy, buying free phones for the homeys, and food stamps for all.
Nirvana for the socialists. Now Putin will move it, with his special deal with Maobama

  18. Words escape me…I don’t know what is going on in the mind of 50% of American voters.
How can 60% of the country say they don’t approve of the direction the country is going in – and yet we get these types of results in the voting booth??
I see this as the end of the America I knew. It was the last best hope…But now the tipping point has been passed.

  19. George Wills and Michael Barone couldn’t have been more wrong. Why, Why, Why?
Tied at 153 Electoral Votes on Fox at 9.41 and I’m off to bed.
    Glad I didn’t buy champagne.

  20. @mark
The dumbing down of Americans over the last thirty years is bearing fruit …plain and simple but I blame the parents it is their fault for not teaching their kids …every great nation falls and maybe this is it for America!!!

  21. Romney is going to win the popular vote but lose the Electoral College. That should shut up the leftards about Bush 2000 LOL.
And a consolation prize will be the impeachment over Bengazi, where information will be pouring out now that the election is done. Should be fun!!! 🙂

  22. Obama is winning.. I like.
ET: are you ok? do you need help? I really fear for your mental health.

  23. Thats okay NDP, the impeachment will be worth settling for. Your leftard media won’t be able to keep the lud on Benfazi forever. 😀

  24. As was just stated on TheBlaze, the education system and the media, the gatekeepers of information, produced this result.

  25. And Richard Mourdock, that unthinking Tea Party troglodyte, who lost Dick Lugar’s utterly safe Indiana seat by calling rape “a gift from God”, is toast.
The lesson? Republicans need less Mourdocks and more Lugars to have a future.

  26. I am going to bed. Tomorrow is soon enough to find out how it goes, the TV coverage is uniformly unwatchable and Ace of Spades, though awesome, doesn’t update very often.
Plus I can’t do anything about it. I already shot my bolt.
So I guess I’ll see y’all in the morning and plan for the new future.
    Go Romney!

  27. Warren has won Massachusetts. Knocked out Scott Brown.
Florida is currently showing an Obama victory. If O wins Florida, it’s over.
America never ceases to amaze me.

  28. It’s not quite over, but yeah… pretty depressing.
    Lessons:
    1) hard core social conservatism is a sure fire way to lose elections.
    2) Romney was a weak candidate who got his stuff together in the last few weeks, but at the end of the day looking at the overall story, he was a weak candidate who did not excite the base, and who was not fundamentally different than Obama. Excellent summary at Zerohedge.
    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2012-11-06/it-doesnt-matter
    3) Welfare state mentality is now the new normal in the USA. I’m not quite ready to say that American exceptionalism is dead, but if it is to come back to life it needs a better spokesman than a RINO like Romney.
Still, as weak and unimpressive as Romney was, he would have been better than then socialist-in-chief.

  29. The US is broke as a country, and the people are voting for politicians, who have promised to spend more and more, by borrowing more and more from CHina.
You won’t have to go to Europe for a vacation to Greece, the new version is south of the 49th.
They need panic in the streets down there to get with the program and snap them out of their fantasy land.
    And Fauxcahontas won too……

  30. So, Axelrod’s last minute spend in Virginia and Florida over the weekend is looking pretty damned cagey now.
An Obama win in any of Ohio, Virginia or Florida will be the final nail.

  31. Drunks need to hit rock bottom before they hit the 12-step programs.
    Apparently so do electorates.
Marx was right. They have the children for 12 years + post-secondary.
Good news: Obama owns the consequences of his first term which will happen in his second. [Media will still blame bush. 51% of the people will believe them.]
Well, western civilization was good while it lasted. I for one welcome our new Chinese overlords.

  32. Look at the bright side… Hillary’s 2016 dream is destroyed, then again, adding to the point made by james @ 9:25pm, that really won’t matter, now will it?
“Romney is going to win the popular vote but lose the Electoral College. That should shut up the leftards about Bush 2000 LOL.”
That’s the problem, though. They shouldn’t be allowed to get away with being mum on that issue, especially the MSM. Their choosing to remain silent on that topic is exactly what they would want rather than to explain their inconsistency on the matter — having to explain why the popular vote was deemed supreme by them in 2000 and questioning the legitimacy of the EC system in their analysis while doing the opposite this go around.

  33. If it were not for the damage Obama’s gonna cause our economy I almost want Obama to win just to show what his real plans for America are, almost.

  34. And McCaskill keeps her senate seat in Missouri. A slam dunk Republican pick-up lost by a neanderthal Tea Party anti-abortionist.
Note to old reactionary white guys: don’t talk about rape.
