The Corvette-powered Destino sedan unveiled at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show by Detroit startup VL Automotive is a Fisker Karma that’s had its plug-in hybrid powertrain replaced with the V8 from a Chevrolet Corvette.
[…] VL Automotive will also offer conversions of existing Karma’s for around $100,000, with the choice of a 450 hp Corvette Stingray V8 or the 638 hp supercharged V8 from the Corvette ZR1.

That about sums the entire green scheme from carbon credits to electric cars to “twisty bulbs” given time it will all implode and I hope and pray that I am around (I am 35)to see it all crash down and get back to basics.
Look people I would love to leave oil and petroleum products behind as well but unicorn farts ,pixy dust, ener-jon cubes, dilithium crystals they are all fantasy and until we have tangibles , like nuclear or dig up teslsa’s books and start there or capturing lightning …thisi s what we have and i’m also ok with it as well it is the lifeblood for humans but cancer to the earth I say and we are just removing it one tumor at a time!!

Yeah it’s sounds simple but I recall a fella bought a GM Firebird with a blown 2.8, and figured any of the various factory motor options would be simple…….NOT.
Way too much stuff to change around…..just the power train without all the electronical bells and whistles…..
These Karma changeovers amount to building a car with a used body…..note this will probably involve a full frame if’n ya don’t want a shiny bow-tie….
