  1. I’ve had a feeling that the reign of Obama is not going to be complete without disasters and fiascoes on all fronts, including a series of black urban riots.

  2. What? The ‘bamaphone program failed – we have to create false outrages to loot mobile phone stores?
    – or is it just that Obama’s zombie army have been told they are the oppressed masses of the capitalist society that the sense of entitlement is so engrained that looting is now a culturally-justified pastime?

  3. Short answer? Yes.
You tell people they are entitled to the riches of the world, then give them the barest trickle of money while telling them it’s Whitey keeping them down, you are priming them to do this type of thing.
    Propaganda works.
Next up, no kidding zombie apocalypse in Chicago. This little riot here is a test run.

  4. Bet they know better than to try looting any Korean owned stores.
Guess the cops are in “do nothing” mode for the duration.
Or at least until “Shakedown” arrives to bring “peace, justice, and stability”?

  5. And then the local population wonders why businesses do not open in their neighborhoods and they have to travel long distances for food and other necessities.

  6. Gotta have your hair extensions when the fecal matter hits the fan, can’t survive without ’em. Chances are that the hair salon is going to go out of business, due to increased insurance costs and lower revenue while the supply of ‘free’ hair extensions lasts.

  7. Racism? What they talkin about. Even in Alberta RCMP regularly shoot unarmed Indians. ??? Maybe there’s a better way to phrase that.
To put it simply. People who think they can screw with cops end up dead no matter what colour they are.

  8. I am not attempting to justify rioting, but the police in this country have lost the presumption of being in the right. Decades covering up for the bad cops in their midst merits skepticism. We do not know what happened. Alleged eyewitnesses tell a disturbing story. Eyewitnesses often have their own credibility problems and axes to grind with the law and may in fact have witnessed nothing at all. So what is the truth? I believe all on-duty law enforcement should be required to wear video cameras to record their interaction with the public they purport to serve.

  9. MarkD, you’re right in that we don’t know what happened to cause the shooting. Some police departments in the states have been issuing bullet proof vests with cameras and mics attached and have seen complaints of police malfeasance decrease.
What I do know is that if the police may have done something wrong that doesn’t entitle people to take the property of local business owners, set fire to buildings or beat up people because they’re not the same skin colour as the shooting victim. There is no place in a civilized society for mobs.

  10. From Wikipedia:
“The racial makeup of the city was 29.3% White, 67.4% African American, 0.4% Native American, 0.5% Asian, 0.4% from other races, and 2.0% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.2% of the population.
There were 8,192 households of which 39.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 29.6% were married couples living together, 31.5% had a female householder with no husband present, 6.1% had a male householder with no wife present…”
    No correlation I suppose.

  11. “Guess the cops are in “do nothing” mode for the duration.”
Most unfair! I suspect that the cops are happy to give you an “incident number” so that you will contact your insurance company and leave them alone.

  12. The playbook for these “incidents” hasn’t changed since 1968. I recall talking with one of my classmates, who was working with a youth group at the time, about “riots” in Dayton, Ohio. He told me that the adolescents in his group were all busy “window-shopping” in anticipation of an outbreak of rioting. Several of the girls were talking among themselves about how they hoped a “riot” would start before Easter so they could get new dresses for church at Easter. They were not just looking at the windows either, but checking regularly to be sure of the location of their preferred items should the opportunity for looting present itself.
This was my classmate’s first experience — he was a suburban white boy – of being mugged by reality, but it wasn’t his last.

  13. From the tweets it seems that the cops are all lined up in the parking lot of the police headquarters, keeping the rioters from burning it down.
Funny how none of those armored cars and DHS SWAT teams have arrived to quell the riots though. Wonder what they’re saving all that stuff for?

  14. Obviously they need to be saved for the really important incidents – like the dangerous, rabid, violent, racist white hispanic hillbillies that would dare – dare, I say! – to pick up a weapon to assault these angelic, peaceful protestors – once they’ve cleaned out the commercial districts and head towards residences.

  15. There will be a race war in the USA within the next 20 years, when the self entitled like those taking part in these riots realize that the cops are not coming to stop them all hell will break loose. By the cops reaction in this instance this could be sooner rather than later. Someday when the food stamps, free cell phones, welfare checks and all the other freebies are no longer affordable the white man had better be able to defend himself.
