The Greens are well organized and zealous. This Poll will be hard to turn. The green priest Mayor of Vancouver is among them.
Not a good poll, it didn’t offer a choice of running over the protestors with heavy equipment.
Everyone has the right to protest – but not trespass or engage in vandalism.
Protests are for losers who either have no fact to back their claims or who champion a cause which is not supported by democratic demographics.
One counter protester armed with fact and given 1 minute of media exposure can destroy all the efforts of these anti-fact protesters.
poll or no poll. they should be forced to do with out the benefit of fossil fuels for 30 days. we can then bury their desiccated bodies and eliminate their carbon footprint.
These are professional protesters, well funded, all travel expenses covered, same faces appear on camera. It’s an industry unto itself abusing a right in this democracy, taking it far beyond simple peaceful protest into a movement to interfere with our duly elected government’s right to govern, it’s socialism gone wild and it’s creeping into all faces of our lives full bore.
As for Vancouver, it’s a write off as proven by the result of the Mayoral race.
So courts are good when they’re pushing the lavender agenda, gun repossession, multivulti and the like but they’re bad when they’re actually enforcing laws and determining protest legality?

The big problem with CBC polls is that the questions are worded poorly. I support the right to protest until a court issues an injunction – so do I hit yes or no?
I find it interesting that these fools on the hill protesting a needed service installation so they can keep their asses warm and their cars running … even the buses need what the oil industry offers.

I was hoping that finally, maybe a high ranking politician would stick his neck out. Does Stephen Harper have the guts like he had with Putin and his loyalty towards Israel as examples to come out and talk about the truth once and for all? To have Dr. Timothy Ball and a few others around him at a press conference. Get Australia’s PM on side too?… At least get the ball rolling. Harper is well viewed around the world right now as the “elder statesman” in the G20. It is now time for this to happen. We need a debate, a free world wide one…Stephen Harper would be the best man for it. The media needs to be exposed too. Harper would need to directly challenge the CBC on it. Canada and it’s energy exporting reality for our continued prosperity cannot take this nonsense which stems from corruption at the highest echelons of power internationally, much longer. The stars are aligning in our favor (Cold weather for several years in a row, lack of “superstorms”, rising energy prices, unemployment, Obama no longer popular etc…)

Useful idiots all right…but I would warrant that there is a core cadre here that appear miraculously at pretty much any protest where there will be media present. Professional agitators who in many cases I fully believe are paid by those who would benefit from slowing down these pipelines. For them, I have no issue tossing their useless (_i_)’s in jail. As for the rest, protest all you like, stay legal and you will have no issue from me….legally though..caliche…?

They are defying a Court injunction,and should all be arrested and charged with contempt of Court,which I believe, carries a maximum sentence of two years in jail.

To the topic, a court has ruled that the protesters must go and unless it’s shown that the order was in legal error and overturned, the police must do their job and arrest anyone who defies it.

I am older and tired of the liberals/socialists who are so blind as to not see anything bad on their side of the ideology. That is dangerous. One of the clips showing the police and occupiers had, I thought, one of the policemen being very friendly with the anarchists. Being rude or mean is one thing, but openly fraternizing does not look good for serious law enforcement.
