  1. an adult would stand up and tell idiot profs to shut up and get real. of course there is so much to lose by standing up for the truth that most sit on their arses and take it.

  2. I don’t know. Pretty sure when I did send my kiddos to school they were sent there to accomplish something, they had an end goal. Sure calling out the profs might have been momentarily satisfying, but that is self indulgent and counter productive to keeping your eye on the end goal. Best thing I did is teach my children to know they are right but keep it behind thier teeth while in those shark infested waters. My goal was to get them through unscathed with the diploma in thier hand, its a game and you can game the system pas de sweat.
YOu wanna be right or do you wanna be happy?

Exactly. I don’t think any of my kids were exposed to any profs at the U of Saskatchewan that were as radically communist as the one David Thompson links to but they did learn to keep their mouths shut in the face of the socialist and anti-faith spewing of some of them.
What have we come to when the only discourse allowed in our universities today is communist ideology. The Komsomol won.

Hate to be the one to tell you… but you have an appointment in room 101 in the basement at Ministry of Truth the administration building.
Facebookcomments plugin? Seriously? Zuckerberg is the dauphin of Soros empire. College Fix does not know who the enemy is.

  5. Yep, we sure did ourselves a favour allowing Public Servants: University Profs, College Teachers, High school Teaches, Elementary School Teachers to UNIONIZE…among others. From that well spring was spewed every manner of marxist inspired moron that now inhabit every corner of our society.
I was at SAIT back in 84, taking an Engineering Tech course (2 yr day school). Had a Math Exam one day..Trig I believe, took out a couple of sheafs of blank paper to do some calculations and was immediately told by the exam monitor, a 2 bit Pissante with a bow tie, that I was not allowed…I said Excuse me.?? Its just BLANK paper buddy…nope, not allowed – couldn’t give me a reason. I told buddy that he was a wrong and left the room along with about half of the class. As we were leaving the monitor (another math prof there), piped up with “you guys are all going to fail this exam”….that snide remark kinda pissed me off and I went back to him told him to basically STFU, I paid for this course out of my own pocket, and if I am doing a math exam and need scrap aper to to do some preliminary calculations, not you or anyone else is going to tell me I cant do that. so F YOU and your ignorant comment. We wrote the exam 2 days later.
This was before SAIT underwent their transformation from a Technical School to one that was a beacon of “diversity, sociall justice”…a “kindler – gentler” Technical School….blah blah blah..

  6. I went back to university in my 50’s. At that time a single credit course cost me $600. I had one professor who made a regular habit of arriving almost 10 minutes late for the course. After a couple of weeks of this, I accosted the prof in the hall and asked her what she used for a timepiece. She said that she use the clock in the bell tower. I looked out the window and said, “Well, you’re ten minutes late by that clock too.” She asked me what business was that of mine. I told her that we had 50 minute classes and I was losing 20% of my time for learning new things. I also told her that that was effectively costing me $120 for empty time. She told me to go into the class and take my seat. She was never late again. By the end of the year, I earned and A+ on that course. The lady also acted as my thesis supervisor. It sometimes pays to be a mature student and speaking up when confronted with slack ways.

  7. This Anthropology professor’s rants are the modern day equivalent of the cave paintings at Lascaux. Crude outlines of simplistically drawn charactitures of conservatives and conservatism. This professor is mired in some bygone era of Marxist revolution. He has wandered into a tarpit of rapidly ossifying leftist thought. He will soon become a relic for some future college professor to teach. A warning for humanoids to stay current and relevant … or get relegated to historic footnote.

  8. “This Anthropology professor’s rants are the modern day equivalent of the cave paintings at Lascaux.”
I disagree. The cave-painters represented a society living at the subsistence level every day. They were survivors who had to face incredible odds just to remain alive.
The professor is what you get when Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs has been satisfied past the point of overflowing in a society: a very avatar of uselessness and pointlessness.

  9. I have quit more than one position and sued one outfit and won and yes self satisfaction is more than worth it. if one has to eat cr ap to live and work then that life is not worth cr ap.
