  1. Being long of tooth and short of hair I remember another time in America, Canada, Britain, Australia, and other countries of the West when things were a little different regarding the serendipitous, flirtatious exchange of signals between the sexes. I now find it hilarious that the mothers and grandmothers of these young women who are coming forward with these horrendous ‘experiences’ are the same women who a generation or two ago were making absolute ‘sirens’ of themselves for the male attention. Just cast back into rock history and see the screaming, undulating, swooning mass of the gentler sex who would throw themselves at the Beatles, the Stones, Elvis, Humperdink, Jones et. al. They not only threw themselves but a great many perhaps in the thousands threw their undergarments emblazoned with their names and phone numbers at these entertainers. Now if someone so much as brushes a posterior in a crowded street car, bus or subway it is recalled as a sexual assault years later. Let us get a grip on reality here, there is no doubt that rape is a horrendous crime, but an uninvited?/unwarranted perceived grope exposed ten or twenty years after the fact is not the alter that a career can be sacrificed on especially when it is so hypocritically biased and slanted. Why do Slick Willy and Uncle Joe come to mind at this juncture.
