      1. Vegans ARE ticks … they suck the lifeblood out of my beautiful thick, well-marbled, Rib Eye steak. They suck my JOY of eating it (or at least try).

  3. The story notes that the range of one variety of tick is expanding. I was expecting that statement to be followed by a sentence or paragraph explaining that “scientists suspect that climate change may be a factor.”

    1. And not, of course, developers plowing over productive farmland to build McMansions for sale to city folk with money to spend on fleeing the “diversity” they created, not one cent of it earned honestly.

      There are no more ticks than there ever were, just more urban parasites with no business in the country getting bitten. If the parasites have a problem with ticks making them sick, let them stay in their rathole apartments in Muslim-infested cities, and leave the countryside to decent country folk who work for a living, believe in God and love Canada.

        1. Yes it does. A country serious about maintaining its ability to fight wars, and win them, will ensure that farmers can always do well by growing enough food to feed the nation.

          It’s the Bay Street speculators and their trophy wives with masters’ degrees in Anger Management who buy those “cottages” who haven’t earned their wealth.

          Or do you want the Chinese to buy up our farmland for a song too, and ship all our harvests to China while Canadians drop dead from hunger?

      people who watch tv, get their news on tv not only are easy to fool with fake news but they only vaguely understand any of it…so even if no one ever said in so many words ” global warming makes tick come up to Canada” that is what people conclude

      as I said last week a woman told me she has to hurry and go visit Alaska before all the glaciers are gone

      the way the media talks about global warming people think we have only 5 or 10 years before both poles are gone and we will all be under 25 feet of water, and all polar will have drown etc etc

      those people are like a 4 years old assuring you that Santa did really bring a tv ( 6 times wider than the fireplace hole ) down the chimney

      because someone told them it is true, to them it is true. facts and logic be damned, it is true. End of story.

  4. The bite our career ticks put on me have made me allergic to politicians,do-gooders and progressives of any kind.
    Seems their range has reached its natural limits and a mass die off might be in order.

  5. If this hypothesis is true. There should be a noticeable number of foxes, coyotes, wolves, bobcats, and cougars dying off or having to switch to becoming vegetarian. Yeah, right.

    A theory is a hypothesis that has been tested repeatedly via scientific method and best explains the data.
    But the MSM wouldn’t recognize the scientific method if it crawled up their leg and bit them.

    Also, then those carnivores, whose genetic diversity produced in them a degree of resistance to that bacteria, would gradually repopulate the affected areas.

    Meat eating produces an evolutionary advantage. That is why carnivores, even omnivore versions, us, get to be at the top of the food chain.

    Now we can wait, until there is a tick whose bite (bacteria) causes vegetarians to get sick from eating plants. Thus forcing them to consume a meat/paleo diet to survive. The upside to this story.

  6. Disease from ticks has a long history in Canada. In WWII the Canadian Biological Warfare Program, headed by insulin discoverer Dr. Robert Banting, weaponized Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, a tick borne disease.

    The son of my next door neighbor has been suffering from Lyme’s Disease for the past 5 years. It is an extremely painful and debilitating disease that Alberta Doctors have refused to recognize despite my neighbours spending more than $100,000 Canadian dollars taking their son to be diagnosed by the best labs in the U.S. and Germany which have confirmed that he has Lyme’s Disease. The Alberta government refuses to acknowledge that he has the disease and refuses to pay for the diagnosis or any treatment for the disease whatsoever.

    He was an independent married working man and now has to return to his parents home and live with his wife in his parent’s basement. He is in great distress and he is dying in his parent’s basement. This whole affair is ruining the family economically.

    1. If your neighbour is anywhere near Edmonton he should look into hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Google has lots more info on this.
