Why Women Should Lead

“Because in order to “make it” in Corporate America you effectively have to forfeit your entire youth to a masters degree, dedicate what remains of it to a career, and stick with it for the rest of your life. Men have more or less done this since the beginning of time, but for women it leaves them with very little time for family formation, unfairly forcing them to choose between a family and a career. But an interesting resulting phenomenon has come from this – women have chosen careerism over family formation.”

  1. Just another part of the decline. This goes along with Warren’s view that shop floor workers have to be by law appointed to corporate boards of directors. Sad to watch.

    Great article Aaron.

  2. MBA = much bigger asshole
Go for it ladies. Now you will discover what most if not all men know: its a tough world out there, and most people don’t make it to the top. Heck they don’t even make middle management.

As a side note, lots of women have told me their worst bosses were women.

    1. I long heard that MBA meant master of b*gger all, which amounts to the same thing in a lot of cases.

As for your comment about women as bosses, a former dentist of mine told me that she originally qualified as a nurse. The reason she switched occupations was that she didn’t like how women dealt with each other in that field.

    2. Most men don’t make to the top. Most don’t want to make to the top. Those, men and women, who do make to the top tend to be workaholics. Sane people desire some balance in their lives. I view being a workaholic as a mental disease. As it happens, men are much more prone to this particular disease than women.

Mother Nature is sexist, and she is not fair. Go sue her.

    3. Been working construction since the mid-70’s. Year round. In New England. Is the AC not keeping up with the scorching heat? I wouldn’t know, I’m framing with a old sheet rock bucket of water to soak my hat in. Or if roofing, we have hoses spraying. For the asphault shingles, they are melting.
Is the ceramic heater under your cubical desk not keeping up with the January office chill? I wouldn’t know. I’m shoveling snow off the first floor deck to frame up walls. In the wind and gloom. The air lines freeze. We bag it when the skill saws won’t turn over. Because the machines quit before we do because we get paid by the hour. No workee-no payee. Kinda tough in the winter with Christmases and heating bills.
Of the top 20, at least, fatal jobs, women don’t even show. In near 50 years, from New England to Florida to California, I’ve never seen a female construction worker. The house you live in? Men built that. The office? Men. The roads you drive, the fish you eat, men.

  3. Credentialism will always be vital in the ever-growing civil service sector and during my lifetime government jobs have certainly surpassed corporate jobs in desirability for those who dream of dressing well and having lots of daily drama at their luxury office jobs for life.

    1. There are a number of reasons why people go to grad school.

Some do it because they don’t have a job or don’t know what else to do. Clearly, that’s a waste of time and money as well as a good education.

Some, for example some schoolteachers I’ve known, do it because it advances them higher in the educational system pecking order. Someone with a doctorate is likely to earn more than someone with only a B. Ed. But, as well, some positions are out of reach for otherwise qualified people because they don’t have a graduate degree.

Others do it because they want to learn something or want to see if they can actually earn an advanced degree. Rewards such as a larger paycheque or a promotion upwards don’t matter as much, if at all. Actually earning the degree, and the sense of accomplishment that comes with it, are the motives.

  4. Friendly reminder that if women ran the world we would still be living in caves—and that anybody who thinks the caves would be spotless never had to clean a ladies’ washroom.

I dare say only the principle of limited liability induces any corporation to hire women for any job not involving making coffee or cleaning the toilet.

If a stock goes to zero, the shareholders are not responsible for the money feminist managers squandered on enforcing political correctness and encouraging the men who did all the actual work to quit.

If shareholders could be sued for their share of the bad debts of their bankrupt firms, they would think twice about allowing feminists to ruin thriving enterprises.

  5. Given the hysteria of the “me too” movement, the prospects for women in private business have diminished considerably. Look for large increases in the size of government at all levels, after all, not all women graduating uni have the skill set to pour coffee, take orders, and ask the pertinent question, “will that be to stay or to go?”

  6. ” . . . unfairly forcing them to choose between a family and a career.”

Why is this unfair? I had to keep going to work and missing my babies’ baby-lives just like any other man with kids. I understand that it’s the woman who has to carry and deliver the kid, but once it’s born, either could stay home.

Unless they’re saying that biology is unfair, in which case, waaaaa.

  7. I learned everything I needed to know about the American workplace by watching the Subcontractor Tradesmen working on my projects. They would come to work, do their trade, and then hook up the brand new ski boat to the back of their brand new club cab pickup truck on Thursday afternoon for a long weekend with their family on the lake.

And they didn’t even have a college degree, wear a tie, suit, or commute in Soul-crushing rush hour traffic.

    1. Supply and demand. If it weren’t for so many fools wasting their time and money getting a college degree that they couldn’t actually afford and that wouldn’t pay off, there would be more tradesmen competing for the work and they would be driving regular cab pickups for work and pulling 14-16ft fishing boats for that weekend while their wife followed with the kids and camping gear in the mini-van/station wagon. Those guys building real things with their skilled hands wouldn’t be any worse off, though, in actual quality of life, just because their toys weren’t as shiny and loaded with useless gadgets.

  8. no children, no families, no society, no culture, no country, ultimately we disappear.

    1. Yeah, I agree with you. And of course point out that this article zeros in on “western culture” which is not the same as Indian, African, or “Oriental” culture…… about 75% of the world’s population. I’m not certain these other cultures are on-board with this “hand over things to the women” article. So it goes.

And I add, to further the narrative, when you thwart 50,000 years of hard wired biological instincts, weird and unexpected things happen!!! I can’t emphasize this enough.

It’s no secret that women have always had power ….. power over men to be specific. They haven’t lost it and still have it too. Helen of Troy, Cleopatra, the Lysistrata as examples. And then there are women who wielded direct power…..Queens such as Elizabeth (the first) and others.

All and all, cue Bob Dylan, “The times they are a’changing.” One of his best poems.

  9. “…….but for women it leaves them with very little time for family formation”.

Rigggghttt……because men don’t understand what that is like because men are never part of that equation.

    LOL

You know what? I believe her. Progressives already believe that fathers are an antiquated notion, so of COURSE this idiotic twit would say something so ignorant.

  10. I for one strongly support women’s empowerment in the workplace. Have at it ladies… I’ll be cheering you on from poolside with an ice-cold cerveza in my hand.

  11. I can’t help but notice that the drumbeat is always about women as CEOs and executives. Everyone wants to be a Christine Lagarde; no one wants to be a garbagewoman.

Yes, the top end is full of men. But so is the bottom end where all the hard, unrelenting grunt work gets done. Time to ante up, ladies. If you really want equality, it isn’t just in the boardroom. The next time I call to get my septic tank emptied, I want to see a “sister” arrive in that truck and do the job.

    1. Funny thing … isn’t it?

But to be fair, that LIE has been sold to both sexes … that a college degree … … … where you can learn how awful Western Culture is … how your ancestors have “ruined everything” … how everything modern society is doing, is WRONG … how Nation States must be dissolved in favor of a unified one-world government that controls everything from the means of production to how often you brush your teeth … … … is going to provide a better living than that of a plumber who puts sections of pipe together which enables the safe, clean, delivery of water and elimination of waste for everyone in America.

      1. Perhaps consider that on this upside of globalism … when the alien creatures finally do land on Earth and state “Take me to your leader” … there’s a pretty good chance that there will be a leader … however corrupt and evil … no matter. The the interstellar exploitation begin.

  12. Actually, this is fascism.

When the political class forces free enterprise to socialist agenda you got fascism.
It will pass though because it is the victimhood, even as there are no victims, that is important to the ideologues.

It’s interesting to watch Americans as they refuse to acknowledge that their country ruling classes are dragging the whole country down the socialist paradise.
Rush will never utter the word socialist or socialism in reference to the politics of the US. He and everyone in the media cartel calls them Liberal. Would suggest here that, that is a big mistake. They are in no way, no how, liberal.

It would seem that California is confused place, like a horse rider without a head.

The ruling class lives in their own stink, never venturing into the world where actual people live.

  13. Forcing companies to allow women to serve on Boards is not the problem. The problem is allowing the CEO and/or major shareholders to select the Board members. Those selected are almost always the drinking buddies of senior management.

In a non-facist world Board members would be people (men and women) who are not personal friends or family members of senior management. But that will never happen. Instead, CEOs will be forced to nominate their daughters to ensure their $70 million compensation packages remain intact.

  14. Women are too compassionate, generally and far too left leaning, generally, to make for good leaders. Sometimes you have to kill brown people and be mean to other countries. There was only one Maggie Thatcher.

  15. way ahead of youse on this issue.
mid 70s the ex had graduated with an honours BSc in computer science, moi still puttering around with a long obsolete grade 13.
so when the little one showed up, moi went part time whilst the missus scooped the salary to keep ‘the firm’ running.
fast forward mid 80s, she tended the domestic front whislt moi made the $ in IT enough for instance, for my first house at the young age of 28.
then we seesawed who had the biggest take home.
then mid 90s I chose the construction route since mainframe dinosaurs were about to have their ‘asteroid’ moment.

now? pfft. retirement is real real good since for instance, I get free tuition as a senior and actually enjoy the academic environment. I get a lot or respect from the profs when I relate stories what it was like to actually *live* thru the events being studied. you t’ink I’se a traitor to the cause? ha !!! at least I speak up against crowdthought when I see it.

we are in the Narcissist Generation. fueled by technology. Im a modern day luddite, not concerned *whatsoever* about loss of privacy via fakebook since Ive never had a legitimate account there. and THAT is because I saw the whoooole suckerberg ‘mea culpa’ thing waaaaay back.

  16. Remember at the time the Project Veritas material on Planned Parenthood was aired? The media focused on defending the legality of selling baby parts. But..
The other side of it is, that for decades we have been told that women in power would be more selfless and nobler, more altruistic and fair, more inclusive, more compassionate and empathetic, more honest, less given to violence, and waaaiitt for it, defenders of the defenseless,…….. Project Veritas provided an alternate image of women, in power, being just as unethical, self serving, greedy, sneaky, exploitive, vile, and soulless as any gangbanger, robber baron, plantation owner, thug or racketeer.
