      1. Fifteen more years of Trudeau would be disastrous for Canada economically and morally. The western economy has been practically destroyed already in just three years.

    1. Oh ,yes . Some how by being more like the Liberals Conservatives won’t be attacked by the media, called a plethora of labels and won’t fear being attacked for their opinions. It is a bemusing conundrum to decide if following this course could unseat Trudea. I am dubious and believe it may well lead to 15 years. I also think I would rather take my chances on being shot as a wolf than butchered as a lamb.

    2. Fifteen years of Trudeau and we’d be a Commie state, it’s in his genes.
I wouldn’t rule it out, there’s a lot of stupidity going around.
I think legalizing pot is part of the plan…… get ’em all stoned and he can have his way with them.
In Commie Russia, cheap vodka kept the people from rising up from their miserable existence.

      1. Don Knotts as Barney, made that show. It was so well written and with many characters, the possibilities were endless. Poor Barney, though, he always walked right into ‘it.’

    1. What a lot of people don’t understand is Trump won with old fashioned “it’s the economy stupid” politics. Trump appealed to the rust belt blue collar workers and won the same way Democrats used to. It’s called populism because the people want it.

    2. Imagine that, leftist populism is more dangerous than nationalism (a defense of the nation state btw).

I heard from a friend who agreed with Macron, that Europe was setting up like it did in the 30s, for war.

I explained to him the nation state is worth defending, hasn’t been around that long, and the intolerance resides elsewhere.

Harper is right, the violent do-gooders of the left, as Stephen Miller describes them, are the problem because they prop up the status quo of elitism, pretending to be vanguards of liberty while trying to destabilize democracy and free enterprise.

Except for the obvious thugs doing time. the neo SJWs will be plenty sorry when they start making good money.

If you’re still a socialist when you’re making good money, then you haven’t got a brain.

  1. Russell Peters is really funny. He makes jokes kinda like Donald Trump; he don’t care if you take offense. I did not know that about him.

    1. You gotta be kidding me. Russel Peters is the worst kind of fucking race joke hack.

“Haha.. I’m brown” “Isn’t it funny what brown people do..{in thick accent}” “Isn’t it funny white people don’t get us..”

Take away the fact he is brown and he’d have about five minutes of material about snow, Brampton and hockey.

He’s the race joke equivalent of an airline food joke.

    2. What makes Peters funny (anyway I think he is) is that he is a minority (I assume he is from India). This allows him the PC permission to make fun of Jews, Indians and Asians (especially the Chinese). He may have been the comic who said his mother was such a hopeless driver she would put her hazard lights on at an intersection because she couldn’t decide which way to turn.

A white person couldn’t do this comedy, regardless of how funny he or she was (zer maybe).

      1. Russell is an old school comic, an equal opportunity offender, that’s why he’s funny, we can all let our guard down and join him in making fun of ourselves. We need much more , not less of that in public discourse.

Everybody needs to chill out and laugh at themselves and society once in a while. For a comedic moment we are together.

        1. @Shamrock: True what you say but Steve from Rockwood is correct. A white comic would be pilloried for
using the same kind of material.

    1. I’ve been considering a future scenario from the current state of US-Canada relations.
If Trump is willing to introduce steel and aluminum tariffs over security concerns, then consider the level of surveillance capability Canada has over the Arctic.
How much of a stretch is it for Trump to declare the Arctic unsecure as a pretext to have a permanent military presence there?

      1. You’re stretching yourself right into an episode of Outer Limits. Look at a map of the world. The Arctic is mostly water covered in ice. Then there is Alaska – a state owned by the United States and containing no less than four permanent military bases.

  2. Canadian political ignorance and activist marketing should not rule decisions: Canada can still sell its resources and still find greener ways with innovation – Julia McElgunn

    About Julia McElgunn

Julia is a professional exploration and development geologist. She has broad geotechnical experience from across Canada, including exposure to the Wolfcamp Basin. A mother of 4, she is extremely passionate about science and human behavior.

As an advocate for the Canadian Oil industry and sustainability she is working continuously to build awareness, education, and dialogue around the integration of multiple priorities, including equity, inclusion, environmental, health and economic. Julia strongly believes all of these can be achieved if we think and lead from our most creative, innovative and engaged selves. In a time where the oil and gas industry is under political scrutiny, Julia sees an opportunity to bring a voice to how Alberta oil and gas lives up to the standards.

  3. I am very concerned about the UN migration pact. I believe the formal signing is in December and I am pretty sure the Canadian Liberal government will be first in line to sign. As far as I can tell, this is more or less giving your sovereignty for making your own decisions re immigration over to the UN. Why would you do that, especially when economies can quickly change. A number of countries are deciding most emphatically not to sign. My other concern is that the media in Canada is not talking about this and what it entails. Maybe the government thinks it has a good reason to sign the document which seems to carry a number of “obligations”. Regardless, this should not be happening under the radar (as many UN-related initiatives seem to be). People should also be aware that the Liberal numbers put forward for accepting refugees during the last election also were done at the behest of the UN, rather than looking at the current Canadian environment and what was doable. (This from someone with a contact to McCallum). The Liberal numbers (playing to the election) were notably higher than those of the Conservatives and the NDP. Harper was being cautious. Even the NDP took time to talk to agencies dealing with refugees about what was doable. Liberals have a different agenda.
https://gatesofvienna.net/2018/11/the-crap-is-out-of-the-bag/ Anyone know anything about this UN pact and what is being planned?

    1. Locked, and loaded.
Pity the city dwelling saps…… they are first in line for their new neighbors.

  4. A house is a right:
    ——————-
The vast majority, with estimates of 80 per cent and higher, of Somalis in Sweden are on welfare. Yet they claim there’s a “discrimination against Somalis”, and that the welfare services “abuse their power”.

“It’s unjust” one woman says, “we have a right to housing” “Everybody has rights in Sweden. Everybody knows what it says in your rights”.

A boy says “We don’t wan’t a new house, that wasn’t ordered by mommy”. “We don’t just want three rooms, or something like that, we want as many as mommy says”. “We want however much we like”.

This while Swedish senior citizens and homeless people are dependent on aid organisations to get even one proper meal a day.

    https://voiceofeurope.com/2018/11/jobless-somalis-demand-higher-benefits-and-a-house-say-they-are-discriminated-in-sweden/

    1. “The vast majority, with estimates of 80 per cent and higher, of Somalis in Sweden are on welfare. ”

No no no that is impossible immigration does not create welfarism, UnMe and Rizvan said so.

      1. Welfare abuse is NOT a problem. Welfare is.

        No welfare, no problem.

        (More legal immigration please.)

    1. He’s of the wrong ethnicity to qualify for “a Canadian ith a Canadian ith a Canadian”.

      1. @B A Deplorable:
Or how about this infamous shameful quote of Turdoo’s
“Why are we still fighting certain veterans groups in court? Because they’re asking for more than we are able to give right now,” Trudeau said, answering a question from a veteran, who said he lost his leg to an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan, during a town hall meeting on Thursday evening in Edmonton.

        Now THAT is deplorable

  5. Re: this thread:
The comedy of Russell Peters…great comedy, as usual, he mimics international accents flawlessly. His Dad’s: …” Russell, somebody’s ah gonna get ah h-u-r-r-r-t”… just cracks one up. (He also is a pretty good serious actor, saw him do a detective show on Canadian TV last winter, did anyone else see it?)

Another great comedian who is equally as daring is Samir Khullar a.k.a. Sugar Sammy. He is from Montreal and was also featured on “Just For Laughs” at one time. He currently has a funny act bugging the people of Paris. (they love him) There was a piece on him on W5 with Genevieve Beauchemin in Paris, they were sitting at a café, people watching. He said that the French, if they don’t like anything about you, they, “raise an eyebrow, put a little bit of a duck face (pout & protruding lip) then just look down a little bit and swallow!” Heh, heh, heh! Ha, ha, ha! He is very observant! He’s right too! Ha, ha!
