  1. Congrats to the Blues. As a Bruins fan, game seven was a bit of a letdown but after driving a stake through the hearts of Leaf Nation in the first round (yet again) everything that followed was a pleasant bonus.

    1. Best part of blues win. Listening to a sniveling tear laced explanation by Marchand What a turd.

        1. Marchand? A Hall of Famer? I doubt it. He’s good. He’s not THAT good. He has no individual trophies to his name, a couple of T10 scoring finishes, one first-team All-Star selection and one Cup. That’s “Hall of Very Good” calibre (think Keith Tkachuk, Jeremy Roenick), but probably just short of HOF. Maybe if he has another three years like his last three.

  2. When they introduced the starting lineups last night, all but one of the Blues was Canadian while none of the Bruins were. 19 Canadians in all. And they said the Cup was not coming to Canada! Way to go Blues!

  3. Congrats to the Blues.

And to the rest of the NHL – thanks for proving once again that 15 out of 16 players who grow a ‘lucky’ playoff beard do not win the Stanley Cup.

  4. And the Leafs are officially owners of the futility longevity record. I still think they should have had a parade down Yonge St back in 2017 to celebrate 50 years without the cup

  5. Remembering back to the expansion years, when a future Hall of Famer, Scotty Bowman, kept coaching the Blues to the finals but never winning, I am happy to see them finally win. I knew when I saw Binnington play against the Jets, they had something other teams lacked.

    1. After the 1968 6 team expansion doubling the teams and diluting the product it was determined that the best expansion team (the western division) would face the best of the original 6 (the eastern division) so St Louis appeared in a Stanley Cup final a few times with about the same odds as a snowball’s chance in hell.

      1. 3 times actually. I looked it up. In 68 & 69 they lost to the Habs 4 games to 0 and in 1970 they lost 4 games to 0 to the Bruins. Thank god the format was altered in 1971.

  6. way to go Binner, i knew the first time i seen you play with our Owen Sound Attack that you would be a star in the nhl.
congrats to you and all of the blues on a great playoff run and win of the cup

  7. Why does anyone care? They’re not hometown players, just imported in by a corporation which wants to maintain an image. What a waste of brainpower. Roman circuses designed to keep people from thinking.

    1. Why, they are the epitome of Trump.
They were last place in January and won!
Trump had no chance , 2% and won!!
      A great meet!!
As an aside Trump haters are idiots.

  8. Nice to see Jay Bouwmeester finally win a cup. As honest as any hockey player you will find and a former Medicine Hat Tiger.

    Good on ya Jay

  9. I went to bed listening to Dan Kelly call Blues games from 1978 to 1988. Sometimes we could pickup 1120 KMOX blowtorch while living in NJ listening to Blues games from 1973-1975 after we left St. Louis. I was but a wee young’n in 1975. My parents went to Blues games at their start in St. Louis prior to that move to NJ. I’ve cared for little else than this from a professional sports perspective– ever.

    LGB!!!
