The Libranos: SNC Lavalin

Back in the Family.

Among the 60 people who gathered at a downtown Ottawa hotel for a day and a half this month to discuss the Liberal government’s campaign for re-election was Gerry Butts, the senior adviser and close friend of Justin Trudeau who left the Prime Minister’s Office five months ago in the midst of Trudeau’s painful spring.

  1. Inside sources say that Gerald Butts did not resign his position in the prime minister’s office because of his role in the SNC-Lavalin affair. After all, our Noble Leader has repeatedly said that no one did anything wrong, except for Jody Wilson-Raybould who should have made her views known to the Great One. Rather, Mrs. Butts discovered that Mr. Butts was having an affair with Catherine McKenna, Minister of the Environment and Climate Change. She told Mr. Butts that she would leave him unless he resigned from the prime minister’s office. Hence, the resignation, which now appears to have been more of a temporary leave-of-absence.

Buttshead and Climate Barbie having an affair? That’s like Iago canoodling with a dim-bulb version of Lady Macbeth. Yikes!

  2. So, who, exactly, is surprised by this?

There is only one way to end the dude who bankrupted the Province of Ontario, with the green energy scam!

Gotta vote Conservative. May not be perfect, but it’ll be a hell of a lot better than the alternative.

    1. All right, I’ll bite.

How long you been voting Conservative?

How many things that you wanted ended, ended under Conservative rule?

      Why is this time different?

    2. Here are several lists for you.

Things I want ended (or have ended):
      — CWB
      — long gun registry
      — CBC
      — public sector unions
      — tax free status
      — representation without taxation (ie. the treaty system, the welfare vote)
      — career civil servants
      — salaries for public servants; you get company housing, the company store, the company uniform
      — the idea that charity/good will/helping is any part of any government’s duty
      — public health care
      — public pension care
      — public salary care (how would you describe “minimum wage”?)
      — public racial/gender/pet project care (affirmative action, quotas, …)
      — public food care (was there an obesity epidemic, BEFORE the Canada Food Guide???)
      — public education care (ever driven on a road without a pothole? you think they’re doing better K to 12?)
      — public marriage care (put the govt in charge of Sahara, out of sand; in charge of families, out of families)
      — public speech care
      — public discrimination care
      — public thought care
      — public childcare
      — infanticide
      — public environmental care
      — utility care (my power been out 3 times this week already, how bout you)

      Things I want back:
      — death penalty
      — ciminals punished
      — borders

Things I want but have never had:
      — right to bear arms
      — property rights
      — rule of law
      — nuclear power generation
      — protection from omnipotent moral busybodies wielding the power of the state

So for me, the Conservatives are batting about 2 out of 36 or something, in the decades I have been voting. I personally, have given up on them. But maybe you actually think this time is different.

      1. Kevin,

I agree with you on many things (not all, by any means, but many). And, may I add, that l also agree that Western Canada, however it wishes to define itself, has a right of self-determination, under the law.

However, under the current constitutional arrangements, there is no way that the particular individual in question can be allowed continued access to the public finances, as far as I am concerned.

Personally, all in this household, including my late mother, supported Max Bernier for the leadership, whom we all felt would the best choice. Naturally, we are disappointed, but we accept the outcome.

For me, the construction of the pipelines, and the removal of the carbon tax, are paramount.

As it happens, I sent Kate a few pictures of some waterspouts over Lake Huron, at Grand Bend ON, yesterday (the hottest, most humid day of the year, so far). The presentation was originally designed to show the wind turbines not turning, which they were not. The gentleman in question is responsible for this situation.

I, therefore, recommend that all vote Conservative.

        1. David, you do make a good case for voting for the Dairy Queen. Almost. It must be an excruciating mind exercise. Vote heart or mind…what to do? Four parties on the left to choose from and only one on the right. We are almost persuaded.

Personally, I am for Max one day, and then the next day, I swallow bile and say to me, in the mirror, gotta puke, have to get rid of Trudeau before he destroys the country and vote Scheer. Then the next day, it is Max again, and so forth.

Scheer stands for damn near everything Trudeau does, at least that is how he is campaigning…from the left. A liberal without the éminence grise of Butts.

          Woe is us.

          1. Kevin :

That’s a mighty impressive list and I agree with pretty much everything you said. Still and all, David is right. When the house is burning you don’t worry about rodent infestations.

And if Scheer is as bad as you think, then any surprise is bound to be on the upside.

To say nothing of it being simple politics to stay as close to the Liberals as possible, particularly if there is no pressure from the right.

All in a country, don’t forget, that has a Media that believes any Conservative policy to the right of Che Guevera is extreme, racist and just not on in Liberal Canada. The Media!

Fixing Canada, if even possible, will not be quick, easy or done by a Messiah.

      2. Kevin, as a one time conservative supporter, card carrying , paying member, I too have been disappointed at the fact that there really are no conservatives in Canada. Oh sure, they will call themselves conservative but when it comes to smaller government, more freedom, lower taxes and spending, they are always a w o l or just the same as every other socialist party in the country. The party of Max will get a try from me and as for splitting the vote, when the hell has that not been the case in a multiparty system?

    3. “recommend that all vote Conservative”
      “Gotta vote Conservative”

Are you kidding, David? As in vote for scheer-the-steer? The fellow who (a) supported turdo on the Paris Climate Accord, and (b) says turdo’s internet censorship plans don’t go far enough, and (c) claims turdo ain’t shovelling out taxpayer dollars fast enough to the dairy cartel?????

We gotta vote for that kind of Conservative? Seriously?

      Jesus H…..

      1. Jamie:

I know you know as well as I do how much damage has been done to the public finances of Ontario by the previous Liberal administrations, and those associated with it, particularly the gentleman in question.

Heck, I can even understand why Bob Rae returned to his Liberal roots: why be a Dipper when one can do so much damage as a Grit?

So, yes, to you, Ken, Kevin and others, it is squirmingly painful to all round here (and my wife’s first cousin is a Tory MP who didn’t go our way on the leadership question), but we are all resolved now, because there is no other viable option, in our opinion.

    1. If I was certain of that, I’d buy a Liberal membership.

As for today, I’m not “quite” certain.

I’ll never admit that I’ve said the above. Only know that my “means to an end” is pure.

  3. The biggest obstacle to electing good government is the stupidity of voters.

  4. The Spawn likely couldn’t face the idea of another election without his script writer and personal brain trust. Besides, Butts has a mission to complete, to implement his green utopia while destroying the Canadian economy and he needs “pretty Boy” (no, not Scheer, the other one) to entice the mindless voter and Liberal drones to ensure success and the keys to the engine of state.

    1. Exactly. Trudeau campaigning with Butts would be like an empty skull campaigning without a brain.

  5. Kevin. Good list.
Less government is the only route to freedom and I agree Canadians do not want freedom.
Western Canadians mostly still know the difference.
    Gerald never left.
Justine without his minder has been running lose this summer as a distraction as the damage control has been carried out by the CBC and their 600 million dollar auxilaries.
Quite funny when seen that way,CBC is so useless the government must pay the rest of the dying media to carry their narrative.
    Typical government agency.
Butts is back, makes a good headliner, befitting our lying comrades of the pseudomedia.
Politically I am happy to see the weasel back next to the retard,if they win in the East, the sooner we in the West are free.
I am so sick of the lies that are Canada, Free Healthcare being number one untruth.
Consuming 50% of every government budget, this magnificent Waiting Room serves only the bureaucrats it employs.
So it is free when half the wealth annually extorted from us is consumed by it?
    Public Education?
That produces in-numeric and illiterate citizens.
The education the kids are getting,is not the one imagined.
    Good Government?
    In a kleptocracy?
    Double plus ungood.

  6. Heinrich Himmler Butts never “resigned” in the first place… Butthole still runs the country and has never stopped, why would anyone believe otherwise… there’s no evidence to suggest that Buttface ever left his position as PM… he’s an evil petty little man with the personality of a soiled dishcloth, but he writes the scripts for the imbecile and he runs the whole Liberal Party and their corrupt enterprise, without Buttwipe the Liberals are leaderless. Tom Steyer and the Rockafellers have paid Butts well, he is their employee and they are not about to give up the PMO anytime soon. You can bet that the other corrupt official in the SNC scandal, Wernick is still slithering around the fringes too. They’ve got a globalist imbecile to elect. The Media dutifully memory holed the SNC scandal so its business as usual in Librano land.

    1. Exactly. I seem to recall that many here were skeptical when Butts supposedly left. That would have this government without a brain.

      1. I was one of those skeptics too, Ken… Butthole is the first unelected PM in Canadian history, he’s like a Trudeau Supreme Court Judge, accountable to no one. Buttface was simply trying to deflect attention away from his retarded pet, protecting the Turdhole brand… Butts strategy has unsurprisingly worked like a charm on the State and Corporate Media… heck, Turdhole just had a private meeting with the CEO of Bell Media so look for CTV to become even more pro Turdhole. The mopey prick Butts also took a severance package when he went AWOL, but now he’s back from ‘vacation”, presto chango, scandal what scandal says the 600 million dollar Media. Butts is quite the sociopathic grifter isn’t he, laughing his ass off all the way to a numbered offshore bank account. Lifes good if you’re a Librano. The Turdhole Media can’t even bring themselves to calling the SNC scandal a scandal anymore, they have reduced the scandal to a mere “issue” or a “controversy”, ta da… scandal over says the Media. Butts, like Turdhole are above the law in our lawless society.

  7. Shrug.

And if he (buttsy) hadn’t gone back with turdo, he could have landed a job with scheer-the-steer.

  8. Butts is evil. Anyone who disagrees with his POV or that of PM Retard is labelled either a Nazi or a racist or a fascist. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had solid ties to Antifa cowards.
The creature does NOT believe in freedom of speech, property rights or individualism.
All Liberals are enemies of freedom.

  9. So 60 people gathered for a day and a half to talk about how to get the Liberals re-elected.
Can you imagine any party in Canada getting together for a day and a half to actually talk about what would be good for the country, as opposed to how to get elected (appease the media, broaden their appeal, get their message out…yada yada…they all mean the same thing)?
Ok, maybe the PPC, but any of the others?
    Does that tell you anything?

    1. Don’t you know that what’s good for the Liberals is good for Canada (at least the parts that count for the party)?

  10. Trudeau: Paris accord good.
    Scheer: I agree.
    Trudeau: Trump bad.
    Scheer: I agree.
Trudeau: Too much racism and too many Nazis.
    Scheer: I agree.
Trudeau: Nothing wrong with immigration system.
    Scheer: I Agree.
Trudeau: Rebel media Bad, CBC Good.
    Scheer: I agree.
Trudeau: I like Quebec Dairy products.
    Scheer: I like them better.

Me: Vote splitting has been going on since the NDP was the CCF.
So I’m supposed to become a mouth breather and vote CPC with a clothespin on my nose to avoid the bad odour. Like hell.
    Go Max.

  11. I will vote CPC in the next election because I know the candidate and know that he has an independent mind. That said I have told him that in my opinion the West is separating. It probably won’t make any dif who is in federal power in this process. It comes quicker if the Liebels are re-elected, even faster if the Liebels form a minority gov with the Dippers or Greenies. Inevitable because spending by governments, globally, have made an fiscal crisis inevitable.

The next recession will morph into a depression that likely lasts for at least a decade. The vast majority of citizens have a misplaced confidence that government can actually recover an economy after confidence is lost. The economy will only recover when economic fundamentals ar re-established. That means a massive ‘writedown’ of social handouts. Progressive governments, no matter the stripe’ will fight this which will simply accelerate the crisis. North Americans have a very superior attitude about what will/can happen and willfully ignore examples like Venezula, Chile and Argentina. Our so called institutions will suffer the same degradation. When the social contracts are broken what do people really think will happen? The West will separate. In of itself this will not be a solution, just a beginning.

  12. Sorry David…
I simply CANNOT vote for a pandering gutless WANKER like Scheer.

    He is NO conservative whatsoever.
Pro Monoplies (yea, dairy but airlines and digital comm too)
Pro CBC – they all voted to keep it funded
Pro Paris Accords. Nuff said, as he will KEEP CO2 Taxation
    Anti Free Speech: MP Cooper.
    Kicking out Salim Mansour
DEATHLY afraid of Islam (..phobia), and as such KISSES Their filthy ASS.

SCREW Scheer – 100% Liberal Lite with a Blue tie.
I am 100% in Maxs’ corner on this one.
