    1. They better hope the economy improves in Calgary. Some people are working out of town. There are houses for sale everywhere. The downtown offices have a high vacancy rate. Business owners have objected to a large tax increase. Homeowners just grit their teeth and pay the increase in their taxes.

I won’t go to hockey games here, nor concerts. The price for concerts won’t be worth it.

      1. People are fleeing the area.

Last week, I was at my house in B. C. and I stopped by an insurance company to take out a permit on the truck I inherited. The young lady who handled the procedure told me the situation in Calgary was one reason she and her boyfriend moved back.

However, that part of B. C. isn’t doing so well. As I mentioned a while back, a wood products plant that’s been there for about 20 years is closing for good next month, leaving nearly 200 people out of work. That doesn’t just affect them, but their families and the local merchants as well.

But, let’s not forget that “the budget wiw bawance itthewf” and that the economy will grow from the you-know-what outwards. And those unemployed people will still have to contribute to the danegeld that this part of the country pays to Quebec.

I’m sure that’s what PM Buttshead meant that we should have an “alternate economy”.

        1. Like during NEP 1, soon there will be bumper stickers on trucks that read: “Next time please don’t let me p— it all away, like the last time.” (or something like that)

Our posts today here must be said because the TV News people aren’t talking about this. Every night it’s the ‘Safe’ News- the zoo, animals in general, accidents, sick people, good deeds, community events, big wigs retiring, health cures and new surgical procedures etc. etc.

Let’s hope things improve, before they get worse.

          1. If the news media really cared about this country and its citizens, it wouldn’t be supporting Prinz Dummkopf and is idiotic and destructive policies.

Sunday night, I watched an interview that Mike Collins had with newsman Bernard Kalb. If I remember correctly, it was held in some national press club and Collins stopped for a moment to say that the reporters were not the enemy of his country.

That comment received enthusiastic applause. Go figure.

          2. I have not watched nightly “TV” News in a least 10 years nor have “bought” anything said there for a lot longer…. nothing but dyzenformatzia and CBC Social Engineering.

…for that matter, I cut the chord 3 yrs ago and ya know what..?? I Don’t and continue to not miss a damned thing while keeping the $130.00/Mo. “propaganda” donation in my bank account.

          3. Nancy, you’re so right, and you stated it so perfectly, “Safe News”.
It’s so sanitized, it to the point now that it’s obvious.

    2. Apparently the “good deal” (according to Nenshi), requires Calgary to pay $275 million for its share of construction costs. Revenue back to the city? $155 million over 35 years, plus $2.5 million over 10 years.

      Perhaps I am missing something?

      1. Yes, you are probably missing something obvious… like you haven’t worked in a job that has you spending other people’s money for the past 20-25 years. To the point where you don’t even conceive of it as money anymore.

    1. We all know they won’t. Even if the vote goes against them, the Liberals will still manage to win by stealing the election.

I no longer have any hope for this country.

    2. Well one question could turn the liberal campaign into a flaming wreck.
Doesn’t matter what the question is, it just has to be premised thusly:

“I’m sorry, my question wasn’t directed to you Mr Trudeau, it was meant for Mr Butts”.

      1. Only Rebel Media would ask that one. The rest would be sycophantic and toadying in its questioning.

    3. I read the Globe article and op-ed columns on this, and the “comments” sections are boiling mad given the new Butts appointment. The Globe’s op-ed columnists, to be sure, carefully toed the Justin Trudeau line (Katie Telford’s hard at work managing the media cartel’s reaction to this). But the reaction amongst the general populace isn’t all that positive.

      1. Grope and Flail commenters are tightly controlled too. I think you have to be a paid subscriber to be able to comment. For example if any of us deplorables went over there right now to leave a comment, we’d have to pound sand.

If they’ve lost the Eastern Canadian lefty wingnuts who still pay money to the Grope and Flail, they’re done.

    4. I’m sure Raybould is licking her choppes over this news. Campaigning against Butts will aid an easy victory for her. She won’t even have to diss Justa Turd(you know, because so many leftist like him anyway), she can just simply has to claw away at Butts. The only thing better for her, would be if the Wernick would run for MP under the Liberals.

    1. It is why Butts is back, all AGW hands on deck in an attempt to save the Communist Agenda…..DONE GONE
Funny how the world in Canada will end in 12 years, and the USA has started on a 14 year Mars Project…..

      1. Yes but global warming is happening FASTER in Canada! So that’s perfectly sensible! In fact, thanks to our buddy Orange Man, I hear it isn’t happening in the U.S. at all anymore.

The good news is, Prince Charming err… Charles says we only have six months left to save the Earth, so we won’t have to wait very long to find out who’s right (In fact, we may know as early as October). I’m betting on Climate Barbie, ’cause, y’know, Orange Man bad…

        1. Nah. They’re busy discussing what to do about the “climate emergency”. (Uh huh…..)

          1. Yeah they’ll discuss things like:
Weather Bulletins and Breaking News –
            Climate Danger in Calgary –
            • today’s forecast is going to be 30°C and sunny ways.

          2. Danger! Danger! Summer is here. Temperatures will get into the 30’s !!!
If one didn’t know any better, you’d think from listening to the media, that the temperature in Canada never gets above 25’C

    1. Maybe NATO should calculate the duration that a traditional invasion would have on ALL the troops…
Last I heard was that all (our) USA troops would be dead in three weeks, not enough resources…..That is why the threat of Nuke suicide becomes real….

China is not a serious WAR candidate… The Japanese overran them easily…Boxer rebellion…They don’t form a credible military threat….The people of China would purge the Government that got them into a War

      JMHO

      1. China is not yet a peer of the US in breaking things, but they are going very heavily into cyber and other asymmetric warfare.

And they are prone to taking big gambles- they are a communist dictatorship.

    2. How would the Chinese provide air support for their ships if they were in Canadian waters?

      1. China already owns half the country – they can base ’em wherever they like. I mean, thanks to Shiny Potato and Rakehell Nutley Alberta is virtually deserted; even a Chinese airbase would at least be putting the land to use…

        1. China doesn’t own half the country, but if they did it’s easy to solve the problem of China owning half the country.

      2. “How would the Chinese provide air support for their ships if they were in Canadian waters?”
From the nearest Canadian Airforce base.
        Where else?

    1. It took less than 2 months for Brit Conservatives to pull-off a new leadership election and elect a leader.
Since Canada Conservatives still don’t have a leader, just wondering…….

      1. Great point. Andy Sche(m)er is Canada’s Theresa May – a very effective fighter for the status quo.

Who will be Canada’s Boris Johnson?

    1. The important thing to remember is that the cooler temperatures are STILL the fault of man-made global warming; and remember, you heard it here first! /sarc

  1. Another patient escaped from the mental hospital in Toronto. The patient is a muslim man who was convicted of a number of armed robberies, but his lawyer got him sent to the mental hospital instead of prison. He was caught before he could catch a flight out of the country. Probably Doug Ford’s fault.

  2. Jill Dando raised alarm about ‘paedophile ring at BBC’

MURDERED television presenter Jill Dando tried to alert her bosses to a paedophile ring at the BBC involving “big name” stars, claims a former colleague.
    By JOHN CARR

The friend and retired BBC worker said the late Crimewatch host was told DJs, celebrities and other staff were involved in organised abuse.

But the anonymous source says “no one wanted to know” when Miss Dando raised concerns about the alleged ring and other sexual abuse claims at the BBC.

She is said to have passed a file to senior management in the mid-1990s, but they never carried out an investigation.

The 37-year-old TV presenter was shot dead on April 26, 1999, on the doorstep of her home in west London. The crime remains unsolved.

The source said: “I don’t recall the names of all the stars now and don’t want to implicate anyone, but Jill said they were surprisingly big names.

    1. I would fully expect similar filth at Prada North….particularly in light of their recent drag/bent gender promotional activities.

One look at Ghomeshi and his buddy, PM Dipshit should have been ample reason to think so…

  3. For those that are interested, taxpayers are still paying for Groper to take personal time in B.C. today.

  4. If there was any doubt about the arrogance and smugness of the Liberals they have removed all doubt.Butts return is a huge slap in the face for all Canadians but wont make any difference in Ontario or Quebec

    1. They must be desperate. There was a time when one could honestly cheat in order to steal and election. The Liberals are so scared they’ll lose that they have to cheat in order to cheat to steal the election.

But why should we be surprised? When PET was running the country into the ground, one of his ministers, Francis Fox, quit when his extra-curricular activities became known. Two or three years later, guess who was back?

  5. Rep. Ilhan Omar file… this will give her something to think about, people in glass houses and stones, though I doubt islam has an equivalent saying as they seem really fond of pitching objects at everyone else they find fault in..

“Judicial Watch Files House Ethics Complaint against Rep. Ilhan Omar over Potential Immigration, Marriage, Tax, and Student Loan Fraud”

    https://www.judicialwatch.org/press-room/press-releases/judicial-watch-files-house-ethics-complaint-against-rep-ilhan-omar-over-potential-immigration-marriage-tax-and-student-loan-fraud/

“The evidence is overwhelming Rep. Omar may have violated the law and House rules. The House of Representatives must urgently investigate and resolve the serious allegations of wrongdoing by Rep. Omar,” stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “We encourage Americans to share their views on Rep. Omar’s apparent misconduct with their congressmen.”

    *was the marriage, “consummated”? jajaja..

    1. *was the marriage, “consummated”? jajaja..
Why not!??? Would that be unusual if it wasn’t???
BTW, I know what your saying.

  6. If women ran the world, they would soon return to living in caves—for want of anybody able and willing to work outside building anything.

Of course, lots of excuses are offered for why women refuse to work in trades (unless you count hairdressing) despite desperate shortages of tradesmen—including, we are assured, a lack of work attire flattering girlish figures.

  7. Remarkably cogent article from CNBC on why war with Iran is unnecessary and unlikely (and always has been imho).

“Oil is probably the reason we won’t go to war with Iran.”

Iran appears to be committing a different act of harassment every week in the vital oil shipping lanes in the Strait of Hormuz. But U.S. crude oil prices remain relatively tame at the $56 a barrel level.”

That’s where the most dramatic, and now most potent current anti-war factor comes into play. The U.S. is now the world’s number one crude oil supplier. That doesn’t mean shutting off the spigot of oil from allies like Saudi Arabia would be easy, but at least now it’s possible.”

Even if President Trump doesn’t want to completely sit on the sidelines, this situation opens up the possibility of one or a series of smaller pinpointed attacks against Iran.”

Just a decade ago, it seemed like every move in the Gulf, every Saudi production change, and every pipeline disruption in Nigeria could send prices at the pump back to $4 a gallon and increase violence at any time.”

Now it’s undeniable, even if hard to believe, that oil is giving peace a chance.”

  8. FUREY: What they’re not telling you about Canada’s hate crime stats

But this time around, before we take these numbers and try to craft a narrative around them, let’s take a step back and look at how they’re put together in the first place. Because there’s a lot StatsCan isn’t telling you in their release that doesn’t make its way into the basic reporting.

My dream immigration platform is simple & would solve many of our nation’s current problems and tensions!

    1. Close the border
    2. Withdraw from the UN Migrant Compact
    3. End dirtright citizenship
    4. Immigration moratorium
    5. Refugee pause

And the majority of Canadians agree! Immigrants are not doing enough to fit in, plus the majority of Canadians also are ambivalent or fully in support of a moratorium, ie ENDING IMMIGRATION TO CANADA ALL TOGETHER!

  10. Tired of being de-platformed from your favorite leftist social media platform? … Tired of “playing nice” with people you hate?

“The Department of Justice is opening a sweeping anti-trust review to determine whether the country’s leading technology firms are stifling competition in violation of federal law, it announced Tuesday.

“Without the discipline of meaningful market-based competition, digital platforms may act in ways that are not responsive to consumer demands,” Assistant Attorney General Makan Delrahim of the Antitrust Division said in a statement announcing the remarkably broad probe. “The Department’s antitrust review will explore these important issues.”

“During his Senate confirmation hearing in January, Attorney General William Barr hinted that he had begun to consider whether the largest tech firms posed a threat to competition.”

  11. Élections Libéral:

“The Federal Court has ordered the chief electoral officer to review his decision to not recommend a change in the scheduled federal election date — October 21 — which coincides with a Jewish holiday.

“Orthodox Jewish candidate Chani Aryeh-Bain, who is running for the Conservatives in the Toronto-area riding of Eglinton-Lawrence, and Ira Walfish, an Orthodox Jewish political activist, said Elections Canada’s Stéphane Perrault did not properly consider their rights under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms [because of course he didn’t, he’s a Jew-hating French Canadian swine like ti-PET—AC]…

“Aryeh-Bain said that, aside from preventing her from participating on voting day itself, the current federal election date will negatively affect her campaign. Eglinton-Lawrence has about 5,000 Orthodox Jewish voters [none of whom will be able to vote on October 21] and in the last three federal elections it was decided by 2,000 to 4,000 votes.”

In other words, the date was picked on purpose to keep pious Jews from voting against the Amalek-loving Liberals.

  12. When we in Western Canada separate, should we keep the name “Canada” and force the liberal provinces to come up with a new name for what we leave behind? Just a thought.

  13. Ken(kulak) posted his last comment yesterday
A heart attack got the best of him
