Jessica Yaniv is scheduled to appear before the Township of Langley Council in British Columbia, Canada, July 22 at 7:00 pm to ask for permission for an “All-Bodies Swims” at three community pools where individuals, including girls as young as 12, will be permitted to be topless. The swim is for kids who identify as “LGBTQ2S+”. In the appeal to bar parents from attending, Yaniv cited an interest in fostering a “safe and inclusive” environment.
 
The City of Langley, the Langley Local Action Team and Encompass Support Services Society all supported and helped organize the first planned topless swim, according to Penticton Western News. The organizers eventually called off the event.

Yet our public school division requires parents to have an RCMP background check to tie their kid’s skates in an open area at the public skating rink, where kids have layers upon layers of clothing and ample supervision. I guess being a “woke” progressive requires you to be blind to blatantly obvious risks but insanely militant about benign risks to kids…depending on the intersectionality status of the adults.

    1. If you think that men are a constant threat to the safety of women and children -but- also think a man throwing on a dress and saying the magic words “I am now a woman” makes that threat disappear because that man has now transformed into an actual female…you might be a liberal.

      1. The rcmp checks are a cover your ass protocol. It’s odd though that a transgender with a disturbing pattern of behavior towards women and children does not warrant cya protocols.

        My main point is that sex segregation in certain areas was to protect women, girls and young children from predatory males (not all men, a subset of men). For some reason, which defies rational explanation, liberal progressives assume that predatory males and predatory transgenders (again, a subset of males and transgenders) would not see the removal of sex segregation protection as an open season to access vulnerable women, girls and young children. Now, by law, women are prohibited from denying access to all men in all public spaces -or-, as the BCHRC case shows, might even prohibit women from being able to protect themselves from predatory males and predatory transgenders in private residences.

        Apparently, just by saying the magic words “I am now a female”, males can access women’s change rooms, rape crisis centers and demand intimate services in private homes or threaten women who won’t comply with the full force and support of Canadian politicians and the Canadian legal system. And 99% of the Canadian media and journalists will completely ignore the controversy.

        Does saying the words “I am now a woman” turn a XY male into a woman?

        If they cannot publicly say no to that question then I have no use for anything else they say.

  21. I am a resident of South Carolina, US of A, writing to comment upon learning that this story is not getting coverage in Canada. I grew up in Maine, frequently visiting and enjoying Canada. I have to go out of my way to get any Canadian news in the states, even when I lived in Wisconsin. This one, though, is all over everything. We’re just ignorant rednecks here, and find statements like “the woman’s testicles” to be hilarious, but I thought with the coverage down here you guys must be reading of nothing else. Press freedom: killed by corporations and leftist money, not a government.

    As a side note, in my 6 decades on this earth I have only visited Saskatchewan once, briefly, the only impressions I remember is that it was so flat it looked artificial, and that the folks there were quite friendly. Since I’ve been reading this blog I only buy Canola Oil for my kitchen. How can an ignorant redneck not support the rape capital of the world? Good luck to you all.
