    1. Didn’t finish the article, didn’t need to. I cannot tell you how disgusted I am at those people.
      Either they don’t really believe in their own b.s., or they really think of themselves as the elite, and everyone else (including nonbelievers like President Trump) as hoi polloi.
      My suspicion is both. Some of them have already said that it really isn’t about science, but wealth transfer. Of course, not their wealth. They are the royalty. I thought we won a war and were rid of them.

    2. One ironic thing about that TV series was that Norman Lear wanted to poke fun at “deplorables”, making Archie the butt of the jokes. Instead, that character became a folk hero.

      1. Right. The way Archie and his son-in-law played off of one another was terrific. Most times one couldn’t stand Archie and smart aleck Mike Stivik the ‘Polish Meathead’ was always trying to set him straight. Edith and the ‘Little Girl’ Gloria got their digs in too. The show was well written and edgy. It was current for the time yet ahead of its time.

            The “All in the Family” scene features Archie Bunker, George Jefferson, Mike, Edith, and Gloria. In a nutshell, Archie pays George for his dry cleaning with a counterfeit $20 and George gives Archie the change in legal tender. This so called ‘theft’ sets off some smartly written dialogue where all of the aforementioned characters pay off debts to each other.

            This whole exchange leaves Archie peeved, exasperated, and very confused. Essentially, it is hilarious!

    2. While the article attempts to revisit the origins of many current movements, there are some glaring factual errors and fantastic claims which negate everything. Truth is an important ingredient if we are to combat the evil around us.

      1. What factual errors? And it didn’t even mention the Brundtland report and how that left to the left takeover of the movement. Which was a logical thing to happen as they both want Total Control over humanity.

    3. I remember reading about the Club of Rome when I was in high school nearly 50 years ago. Apparently, by the mid-1980s, we were supposed to be living in a wasteland not unlike that portrayed in the Mad Max movie The Road Warrior.

      Methinks they are disappointed that we’ve been taking our time to reach that situation.

      When I read that, I wondered whether the whole concept was supposed to be taken seriously. I certainly didn’t.

    1. I rarely read Michael Coren these days, but he’s gone off the deep end. He left his conservative past, and became a wide-eyed wing-nut. As I posted before, years ago he left his well-paying job at Vision TV to go to the conservative Sun News channel. But he was only there for a few months before the channel went belly up — leaving Coren without a job. There a precious few jobs in Canads available for media types, so I think the reason Coren turned into a crazed leftie was because that’s the only way he could score a job. He’s in it for the money.

      That reminds me when CPAC was on reg channels and cable and the Chrétien Liberals of course decide to move it to where you would have to order the extra cable packages in order to get it.

      So I wanted to let them know my displeasure in them not allowing Canadians on fixed budgets to access their federal government so I called the Block Québécois and in the most broken French they have probably ever heard they spoke to me in English so I posed my question and they gave me the direct line to the Minister in charge, we had a chat as I voiced my displeasure and she asked point blank how I had gotten her number and I told her constituents office gave me the number.

      She was obnoxious and her displeasure of having to deal with me a commoner was priceless.

      God I hate the Liberals and now unfortunately the Cons too.

      I’m a conservative second, God comes first and alway will be.

        During the NEP recession of the early 1980s, I wrote a letter to a federal cabinet minister (I can’t remember which one), explaining that I was out of work and I didn’t know what to do. I hoped that, perhaps, someone would bring up the cause of the unemployed in the House of Commons and that things would change soon. I received, as I recall, a pompous reply that it wasn’t the minister’s job to find work for me and that I was on my own.

        I also wrote a similar letter to my MP, who happened to be a prominent Conservative (I won’t mention his name). He didn’t even have the decency to respond to me personally. Instead, someone out of his office called and she told me to try the Canada Manpower office (or whatever it was called in those days) and that there was always hope. So much for keeping in touch with his constituents.

        I quickly developed a distaste for politicians after that. They claim to serve the people or otherwise represent them, but what I encountered was nothing of the sort.

        A pox on them all!

  37. When I first starting using Youtube to see things, I was always presented with things that I wanted to see. Dangerous political thoughts I suppose. Now, when I log in fresh to Youtube, I get the most inane content suggestions that obviously have nothing to do with me.

    I guess they don’t want my business. rather like Gillette, even a market dominance can lose big-time by insulting their clients, can’t they Hillary?
