      1. Tipline, I saw a guy pretending to be a PM leave Canada’s borders WIDE OPEN to allow COVID-19 to spread throughout the country. He told Canadians they didn’t need N95 masks, and shipped tons of strategic medical supplies to China well into the pandemic!

        Hurry and arrest him before he crawls back into another hidy hole!

        I do not know hard it is to do this (Like Button), yet it would let posters know if people like or disagree with statements.

    3. Read the follow up comments. Twitter is not so thorough about cleaning up the display of Canadian political posts.
      I think I might have found one or two people who thought this was a bad thing, but I scrolled down quite a long way.

      Quite a few comments asking if they needed any asphalt donations to complete paving the way. Seemed to be an even mix on people thinking Quebec should take their share of the debt (based on population, not how much was spent on them), and those who thought it was sufficient that they leave.

      Some suggested that every Canadian should be allowed a vote in the referendum so we can make sure they leave this time.

      And someone posted a 2 question poll:

      And why Quebec?

        – 127,000 cases
        – 3011 deaths
        – 60,300 recovered to date

        France:
        – 133,000 cases
        – 14,400 deaths
        – 27,500 recovered to date

        Similar number of cases vastly different numbers of deaths.

        Something different with how deaths are attributed?

        Italy, Spain, and UK have roughly similar number of cases, but much higher deaths than Germany.

        I am assuming cases equals number of people who have been recorded with COVID, not the number of people tested.

        Note UK had done 350,000 tests with 85,000 cases so I think my assumption is ok.

        1. As of this am, total deaths world wide 114,215. That would be 39,209 short of the annual daily death toll world wide from all causes. Of course the numbers reported are likely distorted because of the requirement that any death should be considered virus related. Again, the recovery rate is 98% plus and the CDC say 90% of those admitted to hospital have underlying medical problems. This is of course from the US.

        2. Germany: 1,552 cases per 1M of population – everyone receives optimal level of care
          France: 2,095 cases per 1M of population – not everyone receives the optimal level of care.
          Italy: 2,638 cases per 1M of population
          Spain: 3,638 cases per 1M of population

          Assuming similar testing regimes this explains the disparity with death rates. The death rates spike up when hospitals are overwhelmed. That is coincidentally why Canadian death rate continues very low. The one exception from the rule appears to be UK 1,305 cases per 1M population yet a death rate on par with Spain, Italy and France.

    2. There is an interesting item at citizenfreepress today about treating cases with oxygen, without ventilators. Treating for hypoxia.

      1. Yea….That was discussed a few days ago by a podcast Kate had posted from cpl Dr.s from Oregon state. They were saying that the disease presents itself not so much as pneumonia, but more like HYPOXIA. And that patients were actually being suffocated via abnormally low Blood Oxygen levels.

        Their supposition being that Covid attacks the hemoglobins O2 – CO2 exchange mechanism while at the same time releasing free FE (iron), into the Bloodstream where it becomes a toxic substance.

      It had tons of it.
      One of my buddies Dad bought a brand new 1958 Buick Limited 2 dr ht with the useless air bag suspension on it and we used to get it to go the drive-in movies.
      Man that was a luxurious car with a really rich impressive upholstery cloth on the seats.
      It made our brand new 1958 Mercury 4dr sedan look so cheap. But not so cheap that I would turn it down to go the drive-in with it. heh

    The coverage seems to have a tone; “OMG Christians might Christian and if you don’t stay home, we’ll all die.”

    Wouldn’t it be great if US oil production dropped back to 5.5 million barrels per day? Then the US could buy “cheap” foreign oil.

    Also natural gas production would rapidly drop, and prices would rise.

    Both of the above would make windmills and solar panels more expensive. Electricity prices would increase. And who supplies most of the rare earth minerals used in windmills? Who supplies most of the solar panels? China.

      As a reminder, it is Trump that recently pushed OPEC to raise oil prices and threatened tariffs to do so. Not Biden.

  18. Perhaps I am missing something on the testing. Shouldn’t we primarily be testing people who are sick. Now I know you can transmit without symptoms, but to be thorough you would need to test people every day — or at least every two weeks. When was this type of testing done for previous illnesses? Most people testing positive are not dying. We are insane. Increasingly this looks a lot like trying to control the climate,

    1. I missed it. Any talk of small businesses opening up. Conservatives need to start pressing for less restrictive shut down. Do we need to ticket families skateboarding in an empty parking lot? And they need to put a plan on the table for opening up the country. That would win many supporters. It would also put pressure on Liberals.
