  2. I have been SCREAMING at Gov. Newsom and Mayor Garcetti… “What difference does it make if a family of 5, who’ve been huddled together in their home for weeks on end, go to the beach and sit on towels close to one-another!?” … “What difference at this point does it make?” Why!? Do you need to TICKET a family for moving their isolation outdoors? That family can easily stay 6ft away from anyone else!

    My daughter lives in San Clemente (Orange Co.) and has been taking my new grandson on stroller walks along the beach bike paths … she says there are Orange-vested “safety officers” who check them out. So far, she and her Canadian hubby haven’t been ticketed … but … I WARN the fascist storm-trooper police forces to NOT ticket my daughter. If you do … you’ll NEVER be rid of her … she will make it her “life’s work” to destroy everyone associated with such idiocy.

    1. They are looking to ticket people because income and sales taxes will be down.

    A young friend sat on the grass in a public park, in front of taped off area, 6 feet from sidewalk. Two Toronto cops approached, asked for his ID, and if he refused he would be arrested.

    And the sheeple cheer this on.

    1. Some of us are still somewhat free, MikeM, but many others live in the few large urban centres that keep electing Liberals to their provincial and the federal government, so all of the latter are getting what most of their neighbours deserve.

    2. I live in the Calgary inner city and I can go out almost anywhere, bicycling, walking, I can sit on park benches without police harassment. Everyone practices reasonable social distancing on the sidewalks, “reasonable” being key, sometimes people pass each other within six feet without fear of confrontation or detention by police. But Calgary is in a conservative region, cities in the far-left parts of the country, particularly Toronto and Ottawa, are having a terrible time with fascist bureaucrats taking advantage of this situation to terrorize, humiliate and harass the citizens. It is becoming pretty obvious the left is making the best of this, I’d even say enjoying it. Our stupid nasty Prime Minister, a radical revolutionary, tried to seize emergency power for a two year period but was stopped, next he tried to seize national emergency powers but was stopped. So it depends on what part of Canada, in hard left enclaves if you go out for fresh air and exercise do so in a state of fear because you are being hunted and watched by creeps.

      Also be advised that if your question turns into a request, the previously mentioned governments have several forms required to process your request.

      They have now generously allowed Canadians to use N95 masks providing you aren’t using them for self-defense, but using them to protect others. Especially the tens of thousands of “protected” Syrian Refugees and illegal border jumpers, that Trudeau has recently housed and continues to feed.

  7. Yes. I do remember the Harper “tip line”, but it was not a tip line, it was a help line intended for families. Family members could use the help line as an alternative to participating in an honour killing or calling the police on their family. Still greatly needed. Somehow leftists never understood this.

    1. Interesting. Have a friend/client whose offspring does hairdressing. That definitely is a job where the hairdresser is up close and fairly personal with the customer, and the offspring was getting somewhat freaked out with wondering just which customer might be harbouring the virus.

  13. Its a good thing Great Leader Kim Sung Trudeau has the CBC to defend him. While ignoring the story that Blackie went to the cottage to visit his family, they did report that Hitler Scheer, Liz May, and other politicians were packed in a plane back to Ottawa without following distancing rules. Why were they coming back to Ottawa, when we have a perfectly functioning dictatorship?

    1. To be fair they seem to have added the story about our glorious leader breaking the rules at the end of the article.

    2. In my grossly misspent youth I found myself going through US Army NCO academy. Well, we spent a lot of time on inspections. So we inspected each others locker and uniforms looking for ….whatever. One of which, I kid you not, was how perfectly folded and perfectly stacked your underwear was. I asked….why. I was told that if you gave up your rationality and accepted the idiocy, you’ld make a fine Sergeant.
      Well, that brings us to police. Obey with out thinking is a feature. A fine attribute. Got’a keep them in the grove.

  15. Ontario is keeping itself locked down for another month.
    By-law officers are rubbing their be-shitted hands like filthy flies.
    Cops are hoping for some action because they haven’t been able to beat up any drunks coming out of bars for a while.
    I guarantee that the former have the later right around the corner for backup.

    1. Nah, there is no by-law enforcement. Around o-clock parking in the streets, blocking of sidewalks by cars overhanging from the driveways, noise complaints, building of structures closer than 60cm from the property boundaries, persistent barking – all of this is routinely ignored in Ont, while our property taxes keep growing even while the property prices decline. Like everything in C.A.N.A.D.A., by-law enforcement is a farce applied only as a targeted weapon against the select un-desireables.

  16. I’m starting to get the feeling that our multi milionaire celebrities, broadcasting from their mansions are perfecting their inspiring multicultural performance that will make them more “relative and famous” once 20% of us start missing rent and living in our cars.
    Anyone else notice half of us are enjoying collecting our pay cheque while being up at the cottage and the other half think practical things like not “allowing” us to buy vegetable seeds is almost reason enough to raise the black flag and begin cutting throats?

    Now the “economic shutdown” due to the panic pandemic is different from the economic shutdown due to loss of law and order and inability to carry out interprovincial trade…How?
    Our economy was in free fall before the Wuhan Flu,so what will be the “recovery”?

    He gave an arrogant “I’m entitled” answer to both the first and follow-up questions.
    If he had any decency he would have admitted that it was not good optics. However, this is Dear Leader we’re referring to.
