  1. Ok so after I have pissed off everyone and my family. Saying less than 1000 deaths out outside of nursing homes is a little expensive for a cost 1 Trillion…I’m an asshole. And I have lost most of my friends saying that we have given up too much of our rights..I’m the bad man. So I guess I’m wrong…it is so much easier to just believe Justin is great.

    1. I know what you’re referring to. Some of my neighbours at my house in B. C. have the attitude of “better to be safe”. One of them even cited the high number of deaths in the U. S. Never mind that the population south of the border is 10x ours.

I guess the concept of acceptable risk would be beyond their comprehension.

      1. It’s the concept of risk management that is beyond their comprehension. Replaced with “Here Be Dragons”.

“Homo Sapiens” the thinking man, capable of self-government, now rendered inaccessible via indoctrination, .

      2. BA, was just checking the world wide fatalities this am yesterday it was at 307k plus a few. Today it is at 307,666, hell 666 now that is scary. I also see that Colorado has finally started telling the truth or maybe being more truthful about deaths, and guess what, the number magically seems to be 25% less than they originally said.

    2. I just softly state “I think the cure is worse than the disease” and leave it at that now.

      1. “Cure is worse than the disease” – another similarity between this and climate change, where models have forecast terrifying outcomes that have not ocurred.

      2. A lot more people will likely die from the reaction than the disease. The abandonment of active treatment in hospitals alone will likely do that plus deaths from the grinding poverty the shutdown has subjected us to. It’s a nasty bug but it’s identical to the worst flu. We should have isolated seniors and let everyone else get it and get better. Everyone is going to eventually get it anyway. What’s the frigging point of dragging it out for a year or two.

        1. “what’s the point of dragging it out for a year or two”

So as to allow those with dictatorial leanings – Pretty much anyone now in a position of power – to finally act on what they have WET DREAMED about for decades.
          THAT’S the point.

      3. Cure is worse than disease?

At the political and health authority level we appear to have learned little from the progression of the Wuhan flu. Namely it predominantly kills the elderly, especially those with underlying conditions.

Many younger people get it and don’t really know they’ve had it. Others, like my 55 year old brother, get it and feel really miserable for about two weeks (He is fine now).

Those under 18 appear to handle it well.

Many previous flu pandemics have hit the very young and the very old. The 1918 pandemic had a ‘W’ shaped mortality curve. The very young, the old, and those in the 25 to 34 year age group were hit hard. One theory is those in the 25 to 34 group were made weaker due to the effects of WW1, malnutrition, etc.

Now the lockdown is adversely affecting a large number of people. Many are out of work, are struggling to get enough to eat, and are missing doctors visits and medical treatment. Is this creating ideal conditions for a second wave?

Governors of New York and Pennsylvania, emptied hospitals of elderly COVID patients, sending them to senior centres where they infected many others.

In my province, the labour unions delayed the health authorities from stopping elderly care staff from working at more than one care centre. This union action helped spread the virus to other elderly care centers.

Do I think the Wuhan flu is worse than a normal flu? Yes.
But, it is very important to look at whom is being adversely affected.

Delaying the opening of the economy just spreads the deaths out over a longer period, wrecks the economy, and will result in many more deaths from lack of medical attention for existing conditions like cancer.

    3. Greg, B A, Larry ,Robert, and here we are living the groundhog day movie over and over while the terminally stupid keep believing the government is right.

      1. The real problem OWG, is that the terminally stupid are going to put U and me on boxcars to be re-educated.

        1. I am not sure just who will try that but I do agree, unfortunately someone would be going down first.

    4. The truth hurts especially for sheeple.
I’d rather be a standing asshole than a bent over ostrich with its head in the sand and its arse in the air ready to be pillaged by the big prick of government.

      1. OWG I do get a strange amusement out of watching governments slowly trying to back out of a disasterous, ruinous decision while claiming victory.

OT64 the problem with elections is I get the government the idiots deserve.

    5. Greg,I have had a similar experience.
You must bow down to what family and friends see on the CBC or you are a pariah.

    6. You would think being a conservative you know by now to shut up. I never talk politics with liberals because they hate finding out people disagree with them. Always assume someone is a liberal until proven otherwise.

    7. Greg
My little sister, a Toronto liberal whom I love dearly stopped all communication with me following the election of Trump.

It’s painful and incredibly stupid but it seems that is how people view the world. Your opinion on something as ridiculous as fireign politics is a deal breaker.

  2. It’s arrived. The new global order of Corporate-Government Communism.
China was their test environment. Worked well.
    Let me explain.

The top two economies by size are USA and China.
How could two supposed diametrically opposed systems of commerce and politics both rise into such prominence you ask? Same-same.

USA government stepped in and ordered the competitors closed then Amazon stepped in and bought them for pennies on the dollar. Teamwork.
Learn how the game is played boys.
Amazon reported to be buying bankrupted things like theaters and grocery stores in USA. Their purchase of Whole Foods was a precursor, years ago. How many online retailers regress into bricks and morter…

In Canada the government wants equity stakes in companies for bailout loans. ( They did a test run of this model in 2008 taking shares in GM and car companies).
Bank of Canada is pushing companies into ‘climate goals’. This is code word for: Herd everybody into Smart UN cities and off their land and limit their ability of travel and engender dependence on government.
Did you see how quickly the the masterful marketing job of Keep Your Rent was rolled out?

Today when you step outside **every move** you make is being dictated and oftentimes changed daily by the Corporate-Goverment new global order.
Where you walk. How you stand. How you relate to people. How you shop.
Rules and signs and regulations. Punishable by fines or by losing ability to transact your commerce (they’ll kick you out of the store)
This is the China social credit system.
Your neighbors might be actively snitching or shunning you.

We are under daily edicts from the government. There is no other news. All cultural events are cancelled by edict.
No debate or democracy. Whatever it takes to keep us safe! This is war, with unlimited wartime spending. We wil have safety again if and when the government and corporations tell us so
As in the post 9/11 phase it will be temporary safety mixed with outbreak alerts, shut downs. Will we be getting color coded threat levels again? Say where is ISis these days? No longer useful.

After 911 and the fear stop working on people the GFC 2008 crash hit. Followed by 10 good years whereby the new ruling technology firms got rolled out globally.
Walmart Amazon Uber Zoom Netflix Apple IPhone Siri Alexa et al. Meet your new rulers, the A.I.

    1. “Say where is ISis these days?”

Living comfortably on government assistance in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg and many other Canadian cities.

    2. . and know one cares or is really paying attention other than a dozen or so who post here.

    3. I had written about all of this, in more general terms, more than a decade ago on this very blog.
I have covered the topic of forced bankruptcies and business aggregation as recently as when the lockdowns started.
When I touched the topic of Amazon using the state to monopolize the markets, I have become the target of concerted trolling on this blog. Some commenters are more equal than others here.

      1. Events are proving you right – and that’s all that matters. And the trolls? – they’ve already forgotten all about it.

Do what I do, Citronella – develop a liking for popcorn.

      2. The owner of SUPERSTORE grocery store, Galen Weston, has regularly been sending e-mails to PC MASTERCARD shoppers during this pandemic informing us about the measures they’ve taken in their stores to keep us safe from COVID-19.

In his latest missive, Galen Weston, has just informed everyone that one of his employees at the Store where I shop has just tested positive for Covid-19. That person has not been at the store since May 13th. (I was last there the morniing of May 12th)

They are taking new measures to keep us ‘safe’ and have recently scrubbed down the store.

If you shop at the 15915 Macleod Trail SE Calgary AB store where they’re big on fresh, low on price, you are hereby informed about the situation, if you haven’t been already.

People who don’t have a PC PRESIDENT’S CHOICE MASTERCARD or PC OPTIMUM CARD don’t get this information. (Unless it’s in today’s Calgary Sun News, I haven’t yet checked it)

People who pay with another Credit Card, other than the aforementioned one, don’t get this information.

People who use a BANK card or pay cash, don’t get this information.

Think I’ll change grocery stores for awhile.

        1. Nancy, Living in the deep south, I’ve been to that particular Super ZOO.
about a yr ago. Can’t stand the place m’self.

Our fav spot for regular shopping is the Italian Store on Acadia/Southland – great pricing on fresh greens, An awesome Deli, Fresh/Frozen Pasta and all the other good stuff you can imagine…Check it out sometime..!!

I have noticed a huge uptick in mercantile Covid E-mails….and strangely enough, a huge uptick in my instantly deleting them.

          ENOUGH ALREADY ffs.

          1. Thanks — I really like the Italian Store and have shopped there in the past. They have great stuff. It reminds me of when I used to live in Little Italy in Mtl.

        2. You and Steakman shop so far south. I thought the border was closed.

Seriously thanks for sharing the info, I’ll tend to avoid superstores anyway, used to be far too crowded.

I’m one of the guys who wears a mask and is meticulous as I can be about minimizing exposure. The risk is low but with 8, 90 year olds in our lives and two moderate asthmatics at home, I can’t risk it.

This is where individual agency takes hold. I will wear a mask and manage myself appropriately all while the politician’s write the pandemic playbook in the dark.

          1. You’re welcome…
I live “so far south” Alec!
I understand the Louisana Purchase went up to and included the land at Milk River, Alberta. Too bad eh?

  3. USSR deception job Yuri Bezmenov
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiifslfRlm0
    ———————————————————————————————————————————————-
L- 1. What crisis is current and fits in with what part of Yuri Bezmenov’s narrative ? How so ?
What role is P.M. Justin Trudeau playing in the above narrative ?
Dunce or coldly deliberately seizing the window of opportunity(chaos), as a true revolutionary zealot would ?
How does governing without Parliamentary review/effective opposition and capricious use of Order-in-Council fit?

*(Bezmenov’s explanation of “normal/normalization” equates with Hannah Ahrendt’s term ‘the banality of evil’.

**(Yes, this is a bit of mind labour, but what else do you have to do on a long weekend under the quarantine of your body, and just a little before you are to be required to quarantine your mind, too. )

    1. Very good interview, I have linked it few days ago from Milo’s channel. Replace “Soviet Union” with “China”, fast froward few decades and Useful UnMes haven’t changed.

  4. I love this site. I really do. But outside of it most Canadians don’t even understand natural rights. I have come to understand our time is over. We are the last defenders before the doors. I sit here thinking…throw the torch! To who? there is no one.

    1. … and there is nowhere to run to. Few places in US maybe, that’s about it.

      1. C, greg is saying what I have been saying and thinking for decades. Having interests in both countries I can tell you that America is not much better, you have seen just how the populace performed when told to lockdown, just as bad as Canadians. in fact things where shut down while I was in Florida before the second week in march, bars, restaurants, beaches, just about everything so I came home.

    2. I preach a bit to a few of the young lads at work. But blue collar white dudes with high school education don’t have a lot of power especially in Canada where the Prime Minstrel demonizes them.

    3. 1. I don’t see anyone defending anything. Radio silence. If this was the Titanic, the band would be miming.
      2. There is no torch. Boomers peed on it long ago.
      3. There is no one to throw it to. You are right. Boomers prepared their progeny like they picked their politicians. Very, very poorly.
      4. And they couldn’t catch it if you did throw it.
      5. The progeny of the Empire Loyalists and the French were destined for subjugation.
      6. Sadly, all signs point to present day Canadians not only accepting subjugation but embracing it.
      7. Canadians in no way, shape or form deserve the many advantages we presently have, and will soon lose those advantages.
      8. Smug Canadians are about to feel the pain of real life and real life consequences.
      9. And I suspect we are going to get it real good.
      10. Math always gets the final word.

    1. Yes, an inconvenient truth. I wonder how top-of-mind this is with anyone, with the exception of those who continue to bury the story. Somehow, it doesn’t surprise me, given JT’s love of China.

  5. Windmill blades to landfills. Why do greens not insist that windmill blades be 100% recyclable? Same for solar panels.

In addition the windmill’s concrete bases should be removed to 1 m below ground level.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8294057/amp/Hundreds-non-recyclable-fiberglass-wind-turbine-blades-pictured-piling-landfills.html?

Governments should require removal bonds, or that funds be set aside for the windmill’s removal. Same for solar. If this makes it too expensive …

    1. joe, there now in the tens of thousands of dead wind turbines in the US and all are going to be buried where they are there will be no recycling of anything. As far as removal bond goes that would be pointless as the damn things could not have been built without subsidies that covered the total cost, our tax money, and everyday they operate they suck even more tax money from our pockets. They do not have a place in the energy mix and will never be cost effective.

      1. The point of the removal bond is to make them even more expensive, and to expose the hypocrisy of the Greens, both in a manner that makes it more appealing to the public to drop wind and solar.

        1. be nice if they were made so expensive that they were never built. That is what is wrong with subsidies, if they could produce cheaper than fossil fuels or even be made without fossil fuels no one would care where the power came from as long as it was consistent, which of course it never will be.

      1. So that’s why we should learn and apply the charges to windmills and solar panels before they are installed.

If that kills windmills and solar panels, well the gangreens will have to come up with a better plan.

    1. And the people wanting lockdowns to continue won’t state their criteria for ending lockdowns.

      1. We know what their criterion is. Donald Trump’s overthrow and assassination.

After Trump “commits suicide” in prison, you won’t hear another word about Wuhan flu.

    2. Looking allot like Argentina circa 2002.

In the long run we can only hope to be another India, a stable slum of “ne’er do wells” camped among high-rises. Masses of mostly accepting poor living around a few wealthy and very corrupt elites policing the “New Normal”.

        1. If I may, with all due respect, rather,
“this is two times he’s beat them to it too” ?

Or is your post a joke?

  6. In case your wondering, Trudeau’s motorcade took him to the cottage at Harrington Lake this weekend.

    1. How do we know that it wasn’t a stunt double and that the real one is actually out in Tofino?

  7. And now the Liberal Party’s Sunday Toronto Star. Editorial that charities need more money. Doug Ford is Hitler in letters to the editor. Heather Mallick explains that people who don’t wear masks in public are evil bastards like Trump. She also explains that men are especially evil bastards for not wearing masks, and are useless in grocery stores, as they always have to ask superior women for advice. More Trump is Hitler stories. Whiny indian stories. They need more money and resources. Major story on how China is wonderful. Everything about China is wonderful. Blackie is wonderful, the Liberal Party is wonderful, socialism is wonderful, Islam is wonderful, Canadians are racist bastards.

    1. OJ, keep up the great work.
You’ve created a funnerful niche gig here.
Chuckled all the way thru; my wife too as I read it aloud to her.

    1. Nice idea but, the petition will have no credibility with the media or the general public if it can’t even get the spelling of Trudeau’s name right.

      1. So you won’t sign it because the turd is spelled wrong? Thank you kindly. Keep doing nothing!

        1. Besides – who is the “White House”? Who is sponsoring this petition? Where’s it from?

If it’s from the “REAL” White House, then Little Potato will gain 100 votes for every signature. The Canadian Left just LOVES it when Potato bad-mouths Trump, the White House and the U.S.A.

          1. These petitions do not need any sponsors. “We, the people” sponsor them. Just go there and check other petitions out! Lots of similar petitions are online right now, regarding the sanctions for the butchers of Honk Kong.

  8. Blackie’s CBC is excited that Obama is trashing Trump. And they report on how the brave Chinese are fighting back against evil Jason Kenney. CBC compares evil Kenney to evil Trump.

  9. Are we seeing our government taking control of the people and killing the economy/the life breath of the country, as we wait for a miracle cure in some laboratory somewhere?
Who will be paying the massive debt being amassed with all the handouts?
I don’t have a crystal ball but from where I sit it’s hard not to think of depression, economically and mentally.

    1. The Liberals will call/force an election within 18 months.
      They will regain their majority.
They will raise the GST 2 points up to 15%, the carbon dioxide tax will be increased, tax on the wealthy will go up, capital gains will go up. Hyperinflation will decimate.
Immigration will hit 1/2 million a year, blah, blah, blah…
And by 2025 Canada will be win the UN’s Shithole of the Year Award.
UnMe will present the award – an oversized replica of Xi’s phallus – that UnMe will pull forth from his backhole and give to Juthtin, the UN designate ruler of the Vassal of Canada.

      1. And the biggy:
        INCOME TAX will be doubled.
        Bet on it.

So, I like J. Robertsons’ idea – GO BARTER.
“you want some taxes..?? Here, have a cpl chikcens – now fk off.”

      2. No. Liberals will fall. No one will elect them for the next 2-3 terms at least. I will not allow them to be reelected any time soon. Just come out and vote, once in a lifetime. I will guarantee the rest. Last 2x elections I was in a very bad mood and down physically and financially, so IT happened. Never again.

        1. Who and where are those Canadians who refuse to vote?
There is a lot of them.
2016 a bunch of Americans came out from their equivalent and elected Trump.
It did give me hope that Canadians might follow.
Except we have not had a conservative leader nor any conservative candidates for 2 elections.
I advocate for None of the Above, where 50% vote None, all those on the ballot get dumped.
          New critters fresh try.
Three ballots and then get out the jury duty list, appoint a random citizen.
Max saw the opportunity but is not rude enough for the job.
If democracy is to work, those nonvoters need to speak.
Although I find myself supporting their stance, more each year.
A pox on all their houses.
          When faced with politicians.

    1. RCMP
Good for Carrying Luggage and protecting Faux natives that blockade Rail lines.
The ROT is beyond belief in that useless Org…

One run by some FAT SOW of a lesbian, that actively recruits GANG Members (MS-13.?). for their supposed insights into “gang behaviour” while refusing publicly to hire Euro Centric straight males…preferrence being Gay – Transgender – Female – Non White …of course.

It’s like looking at Canadian Society in a microcosm.
(It’s becoming increasingly embarrassing to admit being CANADIAN)

    2. No shyt! Lots of dirt will come out on how they groomed the guy into a mass shooter, I mean.

    1. Here I thought Health was under Provincial jurisdiction… The same as the US system is State….
Golly! I guess the Communist Hordes have breached the Dominion & Constitution…..

  10. After reading all the previous comments, I’ve come to the conclusion that the border will remain closed to Kanadjians and a selective closure to “Kanadjian” goods, as well. US goods will be free to move here of course, but their cost will escalate when that Loonie descends to levels not seen before. Welcome to Venezuela North.

  11. We shall have a New Country.
    Thrust upon us.
Either we surrender to the kleptocracy, with no hope of any future freedom and wealth.
Or we chose a spot to stand.
The only real question is the size of that stand.
    Alone in your home?
    As a county?
    As a region?
    As we are?
What we defend, has to be what we value.
What service does government provide you?

For me the purpose of government is as theatre.
A morality play for the enlightenment of those who do not understand enlightened self interest.
For these actors all compete to play the roles.
And the fools and bandits born to each generation, need guidance and pain to teach them what civilization has to offer.
It takes a brain to forgo taking(which impoverishes) and learn the joy and empowerment of making( which enriches).
And we grow stronger if we can convince the foolish and those predisposed to steal, to instead contribute to creation.

So as much as I state fire them all, which applies to our current unionized swivel servants, some government is necessary,if we want to be richer than the tribal level permits.
Trade and the trust needed for trade..all those “values” we are told are outdated, need small levels of bureaucracy.
Property ownership and right of possession do need records.
Law and order must prevail and be seen to prevail.
At a reasonable cost. The cost must not exceed the benefit provided.

Throughout our history, whenever these actors screw things up,the audience has hit “Reset”.
And these roles have shadow plays, truly corrupt politicians can be tolerated as long as their audience gets richer and it adds substance to the play when they are cast down and thrown aside.
Shakespeare should be compulsory,I never appreciated the “Morality play” as a youth.

    Sorry ranting again.

    What is government to you?
Cause we are about to face choices that most men/women and children would rather not face .
    Ever.
We will never achieve a viable society/country if we cannot agree on basic premises.
No Free Lunch,or the longer version There Is No Such Thing As A Free Lunch.
What borders do we retreat to?
For seeking a smaller country is a retreat.

The land we occupy currently has 3 oceans and a fairly feisty neighbour(blood relatives) to guard us.
Retreating from this leaves us seeking land borders, with an “enemy” indistinguishable from ourselves.

However the New Western State could be an invaluable reset and would definitely hasten the collapse of the Canadian Welfare State.
Done right,we can be richer, safer and able to pass a place where children have a better future on, later we can expand out to reoccupy Canada.

Because every indication is they will persist with their current insanity until they are ruined.
Other peoples money, opiates to the cling ons?
Pain is often the only way to deprogramme cult members.
The coming pain,I do not wish to share.
For the reaction of our eastern comrades, especially in the urban centres,to fiscal collapse ,will be like a junkie going cold turkey.
“They is entitled to they’s entitlements, how dare you refuse to give them more?”
The blatant gun grab, the outburst from the departing privvy council shill and the ever rising theft.. these are indicators that some one in the kleptocracy can see it all slipping away..
Expect draconian attacks on all expressions of discontent and rational alternatives to our current insolvency..
    It is called panic.
That horrid terror when a truly useless and untalented “class” of people realize they might have to get a real job..

  12. The idiot on Fox … Mike Wallace must have jerked off on a rock….He absolutely lies… He said the Whistleblower testified to the House… It was made absolutely clear that the prick was testifying as an “Individual” not a whistleblower & had the sicko Lawyer @ his side… He admitted that the group had invested Federal money in two Drug Companies (Jan- Time frame) I don’t think we will hear from him Again…May!, Could!, Weasel deniability words are not scientific….Chris Wallace needs to go back under the rock

He also said Trump had forced himself on a bunch of Ladies (like Joe) That is false! Trump paid extortion to keep Stormy from telling her story of a consensual Affair… The Slim ball extortionist ALLRED ran when her claims went nowhere, but a REAL threatened Lawsuit by Trump.. … A billionaire doesn’t have to rape anyone, even Hillary “Knows” that about Trump.

  13. Question.
    When is the “Emergency” over?
All these self granted powers , rules, regulations and restrictions to shepherd us through..”Pandemic”.
But it was explained as “Flattening the curve” cause our massively expensive free healthcare infrastructure would collapse if too many were sick at once.
So what is the emergency now?

    1. The protesters are all ingrates, not appreciating how much Dear Leader toils for us on our behalf. All that sweat, all that exertion, and this is how they treat him.

    2. Nice. Looks like a decent protest. Lots of young people. I liked the sign with Trudeaugate. My own view is that the lock downs, closing businesses, etc. have been excessive.

    3. The Peoplekind finally aren’t buying what Trudeau has to sell!
Yay! This report must’ve felt like a breath of fresh air to David the Menzoid! Love the hat and glasses à la “Blues Brothers.”

But even if there were a million protesters in every large city and hundreds in every town and hamlet — THE KING will still stuff the ballot boxes and win every election ’till Kingdom Come or one of his freaking sons takes over.

He and every Liberal has sold us out.

P.S. Wish Doug Ford hadn’t done that business with the cheesecake recipe. That was such a stupid idea. He fell right into Trudeau’s lap with that “staying home” drama. The sucking…”sl, sl sl” sound– what was that? Ontarians — I’d be so ashamed if I lived in your neck of the woods!

    1. Watcher, I have had a mental block in the calculating of the recovery from a Market down turn… The Fox 5, usually a flippant girl talk group hug….has Francis, she said something that opened my eyes. She has serious expertise, at least I think I understand

      JMHO

  14. Watch “Trudeau’s COVID vaccine: Made by China from aborted fetal tissue (LIVESTREAM CLIP)” on YouTube
    https://youtu.be/eR2hM-NMTXU

This is sick. There probably was a vaccine all along– before the ‘plandemic.’
