  1. Now that I have caught up on redoing our Greenhouse due to a very rare (for this area) hailstorm last year and cleaning up to get the garden ready, I have more time to catch up on the interesting and good stories put on your gr8 website Kate by your loyal troopers for freedom. Wife already has 40 plus trays of flowers in GH ready to plant and hang around the yard. We actually have cut back on our usual amount.
And there is still the veggie garden trays to come. She plans and seeds everything and I do the bull work.

So here is breaking news straight from New Zealand where the PM took immediate charge of gun violence in her country and look at what happened.

    https://www.zerohedge.com/political/new-zealand-gun-crime-rates-soar-following-gun-bans

See gun laws work really well for law abiding citizens but not so well for criminals.
Criminals are like Liberals, they just don’t care or obey laws.

I wonder when it will dawn on PM China Sucker?

    1. Why do you think mass shootings seemingly always happen on campuses? The criminals are almost guaranteed no retaliation since the law abiding citizens obey the gun bans. I suppose New Zealand is now like one giant college campus, waiting for the mass shooting to happen.
When I was young, before the wheel was invented, the radicals cried about efforts to limit licentiousness (such as public nudity). They screamed you cannot legislate morality. But somehow they believe criminals will obey gun bans.

      1. “I wonder when it will dawn on PM China Sucker?”

        I can answer that – ummmmm… Never?

Little Potato could sing you a Tina Turner song – “What’s Guns Got To Do With It?” Sockpuppet isn’t in it for stopping crime, and definitely not because he cares how many of our tax dollars he blows-out in all directions (although I concede that he’s certainly planning to save a bunch of money by “reimbursing” us for all our newly-confiscated private property at pennies on the dollar).

VOTES, my listener – VOTES in Toronto and Quebec – and most importantly, VOTES in New York. The U.N. has been maniacally thumping the gun-control tub for decades – he’ll get his U.N. Seat for sure now!

          1. I came across this comment in the National Post by Charles Bosser and thought you might find it of interest.

“We call on The Right Honourable Justin Trudeau, as a show of solidarity and understanding in relation to the May 1, 2020 “military style” rifle ban to hereby relinquish and consider as banned the 1960 Mercedes Benz 300SL owned by Mr. Trudeau.

            Reasons:
            1. The maximum speed limit anywhere in Canada is 120 Km/h, a Mercedes Benz 300SL can achieve 257 Km/h far in excess of the legal limit. We believe that no one needs a race car to go buy milk.
            2. This vehicle looks like it will go very fast and looks like it was made to serve no other purpose than to participate in illegal street racing. Street racing has cost many lives in Canada and there is no place in Canada for a vehicle who’s only purpose is to street race.
            3. Drinking and driving as well as impaired driving under the influence of drugs is a major issue in Canada and in particular the use of race car style vehicles has been shown to be a major factor on Canada’s roads.
It does not matter that Mr. Trudeau is a lawful driver, may not over-speed, may not drink and drive, may not be on drugs, may not street race.
It does not matter that the confiscation of his vehicle will not stop street racing, drinking and driving or driving under the influence of drugs.

            Options for Mr. Trudeau:
            • A buy back program (price to be decided by a low-level bureaucrat who knows nothing about vehicles).
            • Surrender without compensation.
            • Grandfathering (no use, transport, sale of the vehicle to be permitted)
            • Deactivation (engine compartment to be encased in concrete, door and trunk welded shut, “Boots” applied to all wheels and welded closed.)

We thank Mr. Trudeau and fully believe that he will want to participate in the banning and confiscation of his beloved family heirloom for the safety of all Canadians.”

          2. Jim at 07:36.

I suggest that Justin replace the Mercedes engine with the motor and batteries from an electrical golf cart.

    2. I heard on Danielle Smith (QR 770 Calgary) this morning that the “Assault Weapon Ban” includes .22 caliber rifles, much like we used as kids to rid the fields of gophers. Now, I’m not sure it would include the ubiquitous single-shot Cooey, but it wouldn’t surprise me. No doubt my .22 semi-automatic long rifle is on the list. I’m not sure which moniker is most appropriate: morons or thieves. Maybe both.

  2. “This is an historic turning point in America’s efforts to onshore its pharmaceutical production and supply chains,” Peter Navarro, Mr. Trump’s trade adviser : https://www.nytimes.com/2020/05/18/us/politics/trump-coronavirus-drug-manufacturing.html

When does the onshoring in Canada begin? Don’t we need to revivify manufacturing in Canada, especially of strategically important products and shouldn’t Justin lead on that? The only instance I’ve read about involving Justin is for PPE. All he did was sign a huge contract on our behalf with a Montreal firm; a firm that only acts as middleman for Chinese production.

    1. The future of Canada is as a Chinese colony. This has been obvious to anyone who has been paying attention for the last thirty years, so no, the government is not going to do anything to strengthen our position if it upsets our new overlords. You might have noticed that the border between Canada and the US is closed, but the border between Canada and China is wide open.

    1. Nancy, thank you for that link. An absolute disaster, in no small measure exacerbated by the incompetence of the RCMP. I can only comment by quoting from the story: a shit show.

      1. Hey, no problem. We can thank Abtrapper for that linķ and this below. It is referencing a radio 770 talkshow piece (on demand) about the topic. In it they mention that the killer was abused as a child and as an adult he beat his own father. I suspect there are a lot more details that’ll come out. I lived in the Maritimes 18 years and knowing Maritimers, this story will be talked about for many years. They would be mortified because these small towns are generally very safe.

I’d like to know more details about the relationships the killer had with the victims. The last murdered victim, a female Denturist, lived far away from the others. The killer was all over the place.

If there’ll be a book about this tradgedy I will buy it.

Here is abtrapper’s link. I listened to the broadcast. It is worthwhile as well:

    1. It’s a nice article but his metaphors are badly flawed. Macs are 13% of the “personal computer” market, that’s not a tiny niche. And the “personal computer” analogy also falls down because in 2020 the majority of “personal” computing is done on smartphones, which run either Android/Linux or an Apple OS, not Wintel. Microsoft’s attempts at the smartphone market failed miserably.

If anything, his analogies undermine his point: homogeneous markets are disruptible.

    1. C’mon Bill, don’t hold back you’ll get an ulcer and die, say what you REALLY think!

“Makes Joseph Goebbels look like Ernie Pyle” – PRICELESS!

    1. “Please tell me where you all think Canada is these days.” – OWG

Somewhere in the neighborhood of Dacia 376 BC.

    2. Where is Canada?
You know OWG: Approaching the cliff and picking up speed.

      https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/regions-should-reopen-on-their-own-timelines-poll-suggests/ar-BB14lFS3?ocid=spartan-dhp-feeds
“As for how comfortable Canadians are with the current speed at which provinces and territories are lifting public health restrictions, 60 per cent said they should keep doing what they’re doing, while 27 per cent would like to see them pull on the reins and 13 per cent want them to move faster.”

A bunch of frightened sheeple or lemmings. Or are they buffalo? All scared because one might die so they collectively run headlong to their deaths.

      1. Canadians are worse than sheep. Open everything up the fatality rate will still be the same.

    3. In a place where there are enough voters in the MTV that will react to pleasing the bureaucracy over fears that the health care system will be overwhelmed if civil liberties are not given up.

If I had a name for it I guess I would substitute Canada for Lilliput.

  3. Lots of diverse shootings in diverse Toronto last night. Must be because Canadians are racist bastards.

    1. Yes, the Youths were active again last night. It’s getting warmer out, we should see allot of increased Youth activity this summer in the US to be sure.

      1. Paul, I take it you are referring to what is known as disenfranchised, justice-involved youth.

    1. I saw the article. And right beneath it the Globe published n op-ed opinion piece, by one of its hard-left, screeching fej8jists, saying Canada is in mortal danger from Intel, right-wing murderers.

        1. David,
          If I may,
Try Firefox you’ll be able to edit or cancel your posts. They give you a ~ 4:55 minute window to do so.

(You click “edit” make your changes, then click either “save” “cancel” or “delete”)

Trust me, you’ll be less frustrated.

          Your pal,
          Nancy

  4. The CBC is reporting how relieved Ontariowe teachers are because they don’t have to go back to work.
Yes there are exceptions, but for the most part teachers are assholes.
They will resist the September schools opening, push for the fall while the Wuhan Snots returns so they can string this out even more while collecting full pay, full benefits, full pension.

How would they react if Fatso Ford and the Cons of Ontariowe cut salaries across the board by 10% like California?
That’s right, they’d be on strike 3 seconds later because they’re assholes.

If you’re afraid to take your dog to the dog park, please find a buffalo jump.
    https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/coronavirus-dogs-off-leash-risk-1.5576183

    1. Ridiculous, dog parks have bigger problems than coronavirus.

As Kate has informed us, the retail rescue industry imports dogs from all over the world without any vetting. Canine diseases that are rarely seen and horrible are much more likely to be picked up by your dog than a human virus.

But they’re “rescues” and all the girls want to work for them for free so that industry owners make more money.

  5. Every day Popinjay pops out of his cottage with his breathless theatrics means we are another day older and deeper in debt.

    1. Agree with one caveat.
      It is not his cottage.
It’s the GG’s estate and he is a house guest that is overstaying his welcome.
Sort of the same way he was a “guest” of the Aga Khan.

  6. It matters not where it came from, what is being done is the problem. 323,000 fatalities world wide, still not a pandemic.

  7. There are three Main groups that have exaggerated & took Advantage of the China Virus…..The fake prediction Models & MSM hysteria own the eye balls….

    1. Crony Capitalists…: Drug Companies & Self-serving experts…The San Jose Silicon Valley Freq Travelers to/from China….

    2. Communists…: The Communist States were near bankrupt before the Virus and now they have a wiping boy to blame…California, Oregon, Wash State, Michigan Etc

    3. Gangsters: They run the Governments of Mass, NY & NJ… Virus Money fell of the back of the Money Truck…Increased the Death rate of old folks & faked total numbers

The Governors of NJ & NY and his brother… Need to have a secret meeting in the Trunk of a 1980’s Linc Town car, to be found parked @ a rest stop on the NJTP…

    JMHO

  8. Toronto Sun examines the 17 million dollar cost of renovating Blackie’s cottages at Harrington Lake.

    1. After reading Ontario John’s recommendation “is the time that we Juxtapose.”
Ted Rogers bought The Skydome in 2004 for 24 million dollars.

    1. Finally a native chief whom I can applaud.

I just received news from a distant relative. He went for a CT after his entire family got COVID. They are still recovering. He does not have any symptoms, but his lung capacity has reduced by 10% already, and the forecast is worse, as the sickness is in the early stages. Yes, you may have no symptoms, but be sick and infectious!

Serge Simon does stand for a good cause!

  9. Rex Murphy trashes journalism over the Trump/Putin story at the National Post.

  10. Great Leader Kim Sung Trudeau continues to go full dictator. Blacklock reports that the fascist Liberal cabinet is proposing that all civil courts be shut down.

    1. OJ, that doesn’t surprise me at all. I think the major impetus would be the Rebel’s application in federal court to have their suit against the Liberals heard on an urgent basis. As they have done before, they are suing for the right to attend Sillysock’s daily barfings – er – briefings and question the Turd. Something the MSM is loath to do.

  11. “We stand together when we stand apart” said the spacing sign on the floor of Cabelas where I waited my turn to buy some shooting stuff at lunch time. Infuriating drivel. Was it written by Blackie the Chicom Pole-smoker?

    https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/national-directive-on-wearing-face-masks-coming-today-trudeau-says?video_autoplay=true

Anyone that listens to Tammy WHOflu or Blackie the Chicom Pole-smoker is a moron. From now on whenever I see somebody wearing a mask I will assume they’re either scared shitless or my enemy. Either way they’ll have my contempt.

Remember (not that long ago) when you would see someone out in public wearing a mask. It was always odd and it was always a Chinese person.
I always wondered: are they afraid or contagious? And then: WTF do they have?

  12. It’s been suggested on SDA from time to time that Dear Leader has blood on his hands. Was the Kamloops crash because of this:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AER-zXA5fHg

But, there’s always money to buy “truth” from the MSM, bail out Bombardier, bribe SNC Lavalin, and pay off the poor little Omars of the world, isn’t there?

    1. And, no, Prinz Dummkopf, They Were Expendable is the title of a WW II movie about the start of the U. S. Navy’s PT boat fleet starring Robert Montgomery and John Wayne and directed by John Ford. It’s not about the Canadian military of today.

  13. And now your whiny Indian story for today. Blackie’s CBC reports that a truck was torched at a Trans Mountain pipeline work site.
