In 2012, Craig Kielburger challenged school kids across the country to help change the world with the smallest of donations, the penny.
“There is nothing more impactful I can see the penny doing,” Kielburger told the crowd at the We Day in Toronto. Sharing the stage that day with celebrities such as Martin Sheen, Al Gore and Justin Trudeau, Kielburger asked young people to save their change to save the world.
By the end of the 2013 school year, $1.4 million was raised from more than 3,000 schools across the country. They were told they would be helping to give people clean drinking water; I wonder how those children would feel knowing they were donating to a charity that was about to become a major player in real estate.
And more… For 2 months between October and December 2019, Teresa Tam and the Public Health Agency of Canada hired WE Charity for unspecified services, in a sole-source contract, totalling $25,000.
Cashing in on empty voluntourism;
In 2012, I was in Rajasthan, India alongside a group of other keen young Canadians, ready to change the world with Me To We. Although our group was sponsored by a corporation, the three-week trip would have normally cost around $5,000 per participant.
We were told that we’d be contributing to the building of a school in a rural community. In reality, we spent the first week moving a pile of bricks from one side of the work site to the other, the second week moving them back, and the third week painting some walls the wrong colour. […]When I came home from India, Me to We seemed less concerned with me going forward and pursuing more impactful change than they were in getting me to spend more money. I was soon emailed about purchasing another volunteer trip.
Trudeau’s $912 million Plan, administered by WE, would pay up to 100,000 students $5000 each for ‘volunteering’.
100,000 x $5000 = $500 million.
So where is the rest of the money going ($400 million)?
The CBC will dig into that. Any day now.
to hire “teachers” to recruit the WE-ites to “volunteer” to receive this money, and companies to “hire” the WE-ites as “volunteers”

“Between October and December 2019, Teresa Tam and the Public Health Agency of Canada hired WE Charity for unspecified services, in a sole-source contract, totalling $25,000.”
Only $25,000? Perhaps Dr Theresa Tam threw some catered happy hour affairs and the Klingon Bros were the middlemen? Remember this from Sheila Gunn Reid last May?
Or, maybe a long shot, could this be her Poker game debts? Big assumption there, forgive me.

So what exactly is the difference between WE and the Church of Scientology?
Scientologists are honest about their goals?
“So what exactly is the difference between WE and the Church of Scientology?”
WE deliberately targets school age kids?
Pay WE to help you and yours virtue signal while WE enrich ourselves and create a little empire too.
WE’ll get some corporations some write-offs and get cult publicity for the narcissists and maybe some good coin to boot.
Its a Feel Good Ponzi scheme.
Your ROI: bragging rights.
Your impact on the those less fortunate: negative.
My gut is telling me there was a concerted effort to circumvent election law. Specifically the part that bans corporations from making political donations.
Money was collected and then paid out for campaigning.
Prove me wrong please.
After a bit of scrounging around the internet rediscovered this bit from 2013.
https://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/trudeau-to-offer-return-of-20000-speaking-fee/article12588572/
I’ve mentioned in past posts that this may be the real reason Butts hated Harper’s Accountability Act.
Perhaps we could witness another random act of journalism if someone could go back to those school boards and find out where the money came from to pay for those speeches and who signed off on it. My guess is that in Ontario at least it likely came at the urging of Deb Matthews.
But I’m just guessing.
That’s a good link; Trudeau charging a charity to speak at their fundraisers was at the least unethical if not borderline pathetic but did you notice how it was all nicely downplayed and minimized.
Canadians knew exactly what ‘We’ were in for when this guy was elected the first time.
The relevant section of the Election Act that may apply is 497(1)e,f,g.
These offences are defined as strict liability in the Act.
But again I stress that my conjecture proves nothing on its own. The circumstances however suggest more than a smidgen of something rotten going on.
Funny how the Press Gallery and the rest of the MSM never did an actual accounting of how many speaking engagements Li’l Tater Head actually did or how much the total scam cost high schools, colleges, universities, and the other charitable organizations.
Yeah, but was that money actually returned? Or, was it just the brown paper bag it came in.
There’s a silver lining…..
Young virtue signalling poseurs brimming with moral self righteousness, 70% of whom are card carrying vegans, are conned out of money.
See, apparently god doesn’t like them either.
+1000
Gonna make a t shirt “God hates vegans.”
So, what’s next with WE? My guess is silence and the beat goes on.
The bought and paid for media are excited this morning, that most Canadians still love little Justin and don’t believe he should step down.
WE want a glass of $16 orange juice for everyone reading about these con artists.
Burgess, I want to be the guy selling the orange juice for 16 bucks a glass.
Tax receipt please. “Sweet Charity”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFsSC_qAGlQ
That’s OK, I will be a liberal for that day, no taxes need be paid.
Nope, no way I will become a liberal for the day.

Me to We –> Thee to Me
A deep dive into WE is required….so too is a deep dive into all of the other “charities” who were going to be getting this “volunteer” money. “Charities” have become the biggest money laundering scheme since Vancouver real estate.
Still, it’s curious how this came out, and that certain media are covering this at all.
A proggy org, led by 2 Do Gooders, who speak of nothing but virtuous but empty blathering, employ the proggy leader of the Fiberal party, and his famille, to speak of nothing but virtuous, empty blatherings, to thousands of young, naive, innocent kids, and, all get wealthy along the way.
So, with all the media bought and paid off, apparently, why is this in the media, and very surprisingly, the digging continues and gets deeper. Is this a story evolving from those that don’t like WE, methinks not.
Looks more like a story where someone in the shadows was left off the gravy train, and has launched a campaign of embarrassment. Even Fifer has emerged from nowhere to criticize Dear Leader. This is hard to take seriously, when Fife is speaking up, my BS detector is going off.
Ethics violations by LIEberals? Whodathunk, by Mr Multitime Offender!
A few possible explanations:
Option 1: Trudeau’s pimped out media want more cash and this is how they will squeeze him. When he coughs up a couple of billion from the China Bat Soup Fever fund to them they will reverse course and start fluffing him again.
Option 2: The Liberal backroom boys know the public finally realized Blackie Trudeau is just a potato with nice socks and a bangin’ hairdo and beard and they want to replace him before the CPC get their shit together, sort of.
That was always going to happen, they knew that his shiny exterior would only last so long.
Blackie has no upside.
No amount of new socks and new hairdos will wash away the fact that he is a corrupt idiot and a weakling.
Option 3: Shiny Potato’s China masters are hungry for a new puppet.
I get that way too, half an hour after a meal of Shanghai noodles and Kung Pao chicken I want more.
Option 4: The Irving’s have realized that they really DO WANT Energy East and they’ve activated the Liberal Self-Destruct protocol that they’ve had hidden in their back pocket until now.
You can come up with a million suspects when dealing with a bunch of ambitious political operatives.
Their motive will be that they either didn’t get what they felt entitled to (got cut out of the action), or there was someone taking too big a cut.
So Trudeau and his corrupt charity stole from children in Canada and stole from children in other countries.
How many actual schools could have been built in poor countries if Trudeau’s favorite charity scam officials hadn’t skimmed the money for their own benefit?
The problem with charities is that they become legends in their own mind and acquire this air of self importance and superiority because they purport to do good and you are not.
It is as though a law of nature that the doo good organizations start well meaning.
Just for reference, there is a saying that the road to hell is paved with good intentions, this is one of the laws of nature.
Anyway it is without fail that these organizations become so damn self important that in their ideology, they can do any crooked thing simply because they look at themselves as doing good and anything they do is justified.
Eventually they become money making enterprise paying themselves before they pay for the good they project. At the same time they hide behind “charitable” organization to make sure there are tax advantages.
That’s it, I’m starting a charity! Not sure what to call it yet, anyone have an idea?
OK, ducking, as of right now!
“In 2012, I was in Rajasthan, India alongside a group of other keen young Canadians […] moving a pile of bricks from one side of the work site to the other, the second week moving them back, and the third week painting some walls the wrong colour…”
About four years earlier than 2012 I was employed in Greater Vancouver, Canada alongside several software developers from India that were working under contract on a major project. Most were fluent in English and demonstrably as intelligent and capable as my Canadian co-workers.
If there is such a thing in Canada as “systemic racism”, wouldn’t an example be the attitude among leaders of an organization like WE whose activities imply that India is a backward country that needs young Canadians with no particular skill to travel there and pretend to be able to do something the locals can’t? It’s a heck of a lot more on target than Brenda Lucki’s absurd “broad jump” example.
Canadians are very good at embracing empty platitudes and shallow visuals. This is why they will complain that any questions about the obvious corruption here is hurting innocent people.
Never mind that they are not clever enough to see a scam.
Once the director of any charity becomes a paid position, the charity seems to quickly degenerate into a self-perpetuating money making entity. The charitable work, such as it may be, deteriorates into an advertising marquis or even a hostage to the organization itself. As for the “voluntourism”: I’ve given talks (at no charge) regarding overseas volunteer work including the pitfalls which can result in little real or lasting benefit and sometimes outright harm from people who may genuinely be there with the best of intentions. The operation in Rajathstan seems to have checked a lot of those boxes. The reality for a lot of well meaning youngsters is that unless you have a particularly specialized, in-demand skill set, the last thing many of these places need is more sets of unskilled hands and the best thing they could do is take a trip there as a tourist, see the sights, hire some guides, stay in the hotels, buy some of the local products and pump some money into the local economy. Save the volunteer work for when you become an engineer, plumber, health care specialist or language or technical teacher. Then you may be able to give the poor of the developing world something of real lasting value.
This is it in a nutshell:
‘save their change to save the world.’
The arrogance of these people is astounding… change the world. I guarantee these people (that go on these masturbatory volunteer vacations) have never done anything to change even their own small communities. I’d wager they don’t even really do anything around the house. But they are inundated from their earliest formative years that they must “save the world.” If it’s one thing that I’m going to pound OUT OF my kids it is this incredibly hurtful idea that they have an obligation to “save the world.”
What ever happened to that sack of shit called Al Gore? He must be due to come out from his hole to save the World from certain destruction. Surely by now he has figured out whether we will freeze or fry.
WE started out as a protest against severely underpaid and overworked children in Asia
Today we hear about former WE workers who quit because they were forced to work 16 hour days for puny wages.
AAAAH the irony
I seem to recall another liberal from the pedigreed branch, one Glen Pearson.
Seem to also recall that he was given some pseudo portfolio that allowed him and his partner to continue similar self styled charity in Africa. I recall it had to do with arranging to buy victims out of human slavery.
They would swoop into a village prearranged, to purchase some of the victims from the slavers, take some photos for the plebs back home and then pack up and leave.
Yet another weeing on Canada:

If someone was to start draining the swamp here, there might be nothing left of the federal government once the job was done.
I’m just a little bit confused here. What exactly is WE and affiliated companies supposed to be doing? I look at a charity such as Samaritan’s Purse and can tell you what their objective is. Ditto the Mennonite Relief organization. Real problems are met with real solutions. What does WE do and how did they amass that kind of money that they can afford 43 million dollars in Toronto real estate.
