American Style Elections

Coming soon to a province or country near you!

Counting mail-in ballots for Newfoundland and Labrador’s election could take up to a month, according to Elections NL, as the agency gears up to receive potentially tens of thousands of envelopes to open, sort and tally.

Because of the weeks-long count, Chaulk said, he has advised the parties they are entitled to a scrutineer to monitor the process.

“They’re concerned with what is an accepted ballot and what is a rejected ballot,” he said of those overseers. “But they won’t be seeing the counts themselves at each table,” to prevent leaked information on who may be leading the pack, especially if counting begins before the deadline.

I see a wonderful oportunity to “fortify” democracy in our next federal election.

    1. The surface people change but all the underlings and government doesn’t.
So, it don’t matter who wins. The system stays the same.

It seems the Chinese think O’Toole will and they make the voting machines.
What’s another crisis to change government and add more China friendly trade.

  1. You always were allowed to have someone there to dispute a ballot but never heard of a secret count.Absolutely a dry run for the federal election and you can count on a provincial liberal win

    1. The voting machines are probably corrupted but it doesn’t compare to your liberal magistrates.

  2. An “accepted” ballot is a rigged Liberal ballot. A rejected ballot is moistly all the rest.

  6. Newfoundland won’t know the results of the election until weeks after the actual election day. It’ll Give the Liberals and NDP ample time to stuff ballot boxes in the backrooms and vote harvest.

Eventhough we are a northern hemisphere with a cold climate, we could probably grow banana’s here and become a Republic.

No need to cast your vote in person there anymore.

  7. Don’t ask, don’t tell was voting policy in some parts of Calgary for local, provincial, federal elections.
Were told by the chief officer for east of Calgary, let them vote.
Those that came to enrich Canada with their presence, not understanding one word of english, not knowing what the hell they’re doing, voted with ease of the citizens. Of course they came with handlers that told them which way to vote.

The chief officer was one of the enrichers, you understand. Canadians are too stupid, they would not be able to do it.
