“If we are going to maintain … our internal strength and our growth and our capacity and our outside influence, we need more people – a lot more,” Mr. Mulroney said Tuesday at a forum presented by The Globe and Mail and by Century Initiative, which champions the goal of a Canada that is 100-million strong by 2100.

Over the last twenty five years Canada has lost approximately 1% of its agriculturally productive land. Big deal some might say, but considering that we only have 7% of our land mass to be productive then the 1% has greater significance. Federal policies have lost us a great deal of our manufacturing capability and now we are being told that to replace a dwindling population we need to import more people to settle not in the far north but in areas that are already overpopulated and costing us valuable productive acreage. The idiocy has no bounds in Canada.

Population is irrelevant to to a countries standing, there are plenty of countries with much larger populations that nobody ever thinks about or cares about their position on issues. What matters is how wealthy a country is, and how strong its military is.
GDP by itself is also irrelevant to the countries standing, and especially to its people. What matters is GDP per capita.
I understand many people may believe the insanity being pushed on them in so many areas by authorities simply because it is all they hear and they don’t think much about it when they are focused on their own lives, but I can not see how one can function to get into a position to push agendas when so clearly insane, so it must be strategic towards a dark purpose.
