February 3, 2022: Reader Tips

This evening we enjoy Fortunate Son, performed by Creedence Clearwater Revival aka CCR.

And, as an added bonus, please enjoy this video right to the end. It makes absolutely NO sense! Which is what makes it SO funny!

As an added bonus, and thanks to SDA commenter ‘Batcracker’, do enjoy these hilarious memes!

Your most fortunate or unfortunate tips of the past day would be mightily appreciated!

    1. My ratings would be:
      1. Moore.
      2. Brosnan
      3. Connery
      4. Dalton
      5. Craig
      6. That other guy none remembers.

      1. 1. Connery, as he defined the role
        2. Brosnan, he played it with class
        3. Dalton, a classy portrayal, as well and would have been a good Bond
        4. Lazenby, but he wasn’t really given a chance
        5. Craig–I only saw the first two of his movies and I was unimpressed
        6. Moore, who didn’t seem to take the role seriously

        1. Agreed on Connery.
          then Bronsan
Moore (very entertaining – he didn’t write the scripts ” Ahh Pussy!! fr Octopussy)
          Craig
          Dalton

    2. I enjoyed all the different actors. I enjoyed Roger Moore’s spoof of the character. Connery was the template. Daniel Craig’s violence and extreme action are most entertaining. While in real life the hero doesn’t always win in the end, in a Bond flick, he should never lose. I have seen all the Bond movies.

    3. For people who have read the books, Craig is the most faithful to Fleming’s character, but Hollywood, as usual, cut out the heavy smoking and drinking, and most of the womanizing. As a matter of fact, most of the movies, even those with the same name as Fleming’s stories, have nothing to do with what Fleming wrote.

    1. Jeff, I’m currently in Pensacola and it’s wonderful. I frequently refer to myself as a San Francisco refugee but Quebec refugee would work equally well.

      1. Hi @ Robert!
I loved Pensacola – we lived down on Perdido Key many years ago. We went on vacation to Venezuela (that tells you how long ago it was) because friends told us they had such “wonderful beaches”. We had a MUCH nicer beach at home!

I’ve always preferred the Gulf Coast to the Atlantic Coast, but my children (and grandchildren) are all on the Atlantic side, so… I followed.

    2. Hi @Jeff,
I am so glad you had a much needed respite and enjoyed your vacation. I enjoyed your blog post.

I have been so blessed to live in Florida for several decades now. We do have a running joke that we would happily do a “prisoner exchange” with Canadians. Florida & Texas will take all the self-reliant, freedom-loving, conservative Canadians but in return Canada has to take the leftie loons from the California Coast and Austin on a 1 for 1 basis. :>)

      Win/Win!

    3. Well, Jeff, as someone who had spent the last two years stuck in Canada, because I will not take a poison fucking shot, my years of going to my place in Florida are now over. Fuck Trudeau, Biden, Ford and every other asshole who is using fear about a damn flu virus to control our movements. I wish what they are afraid of would kill them all so those of us with a brain can get on with our lives.

      1. VOWG, I’m inclined to say “F you”” to everyone who took the shot.
I understand that some of them felt the need to travel, but feeling and needing are two entirely different things, and now their compliance has made me an outcast in my own country.
I will never comply with fascism.

    4. Not allowed to board planes, trains, or boats unless I take the juice. I can’t even drive across the border. Just how can I get down to Florida?

      Still waiting for reasonable suggestions.

      1. fc, you have to be extremely wealthy, able to afford a private jet, and have the money to pay off the appropriate bureaucrats. That is how it has been since time began. Just not the jets of course.

    1. I like his prediction that Canada will go the way of England, Ireland, and Denmark and free us from the shackles of the plandemic imposed by the Liberals. Dichter said that the Truckers will stay the course with their present commitment for as long as it takes. BRAVO!

See, this could all go away. The Truckers are well organized.

    1. It’s who is pulling his strings that we must worry about. On his deathbed, Justin will regret that he wasn’t his own man in this lifetime.

When I see a person whose smile can light up a room, I think I’m seeing a man who is comfortable in his own skin, be it a shoeshiner, a carpenter, a surgeon, an engineer or whatever. An example of that man is Viva Frei. Have you seen his vlogs? He is as self-actualized as they come. What a smile!

Knock me if you want, but by ‘MAN’, you, dear reader, know I mean human being, en generale.

      1. On his deathbed, Justin Trudeau will be too concerned about how his corpse will appear on the TV funeral cameras. Will he be wearing nice socks?

        1. Ha! I was waiting for that, but are you sure you don’t mean his hair? That is, how his hair would look.

      2. NR, our understanding of the english language with “man” meaning all mankind is lost on today’s fools. They lack the intellect to even try to understand who, what or why they are.

        1. We come from one another…I’m a ‘man’, teacher said so, that was little me. One understands this as heterosexuals while mating. Nothing or no one can change that.

    1. Covid narrative “falling to pieces?” So are the people who took the vaxx. Rather, some of them–and some of the ones who didn’t get random saline placebos.

I recently wrote about my sister’s significant other, the formerly strong amateur tennis player type who has been diagnosed as having A- Fib after allowing himself to be assaulted with ‘free’ government Moderna injecticides. Well, he’s on blood thinners now, will be getting more tests, is still weak but says he’s a little stronger. So, now, my sister who followed the same medical course is now complaining of chest pains. What will happen, I do not know because while they’re being looked after in Florida, I worry that once they have to return to Canada they will not be looked after as well. Down there, they got looked at within a week. In Québéc, where they are from, it’s bonne chance!

P.S. @ 12:10 … to Jeff: Good for you about getting in a Winter holiday, you’re suggesting people take trips to warmer climates, this winter. It sounds great, but one needs to get the jab to do so. It’s not all wine and roses, unfortunately. I hope you and family are well and stay that way…maybe you all got saline shots, they were alledgedly distributed randomly. Be wary of boosters– that’s what sister and friend took and what got them into the situation they’re both in now, medically speaking.
Btw– your photos are beautiful, thanks,

    1. There absolutely have to be trials and penalties for those who perpetuated these crimes when the dust settles.
Most Americans are shocked that Fauci has a direct and self-serving financial interest, (which is legal and written into statute) in vaccine development and deployment. Science is supposed to be transparent, honest and subject to rigorous debate and scrutiny. NONE of that has happened with this COVID debacle.

  1. Here’s piece expressing doubt about the now widely accepted notion of a “crumbling narrative”. The writer uses a fishing analogy: you can’t just reel in a big one; you have to set the reel torque and let out some line to let the big one run, and run a few times until be tires and can be safely reeled in without breaking the line.

    1. Yep. It’s operant conditioning, or better known in psychology as “intermittent reinforcement”.
It creates a trauma bond with the abuser, and keeps people stuck in abusive relationships.

  3. Apparently this plea was issued by the Ottawa police:
BREAKING: Ottawa Police Chief asks citizens to please stop calling 911 to ask where Justin Trudeau is.
I am not suggesting anybody messes with 911 that must remain clear for emergencies, but as a citizen do you not feel it is your duty to make a missing person report for Justin Turdeau

Some incidents require an officer in person, while other reports can be taken over the phone.

Surely everybody is concerned about the absence of dear leader.

    Mischief is important.

  4. Not. One. Single. Minute.

I humbly ask readers of SDA to not watch one single minute of the Genocide Games in Beijing.
Don’t give Justin’s favorite regime one minute of legitimacy.
Don’t give the CBC one SECOND of viewing.

“Atlanta wasn’t allowed to host Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game (because of some voting law), but China was allowed to host the [Olympic] Games”

    1. I haven’t watched the Olympics for years and I don’t intend on changing that.

    2. Never crossed my mind Chris.

Heck I haven’t watch the games in a very long time. But that’s me.

    1. I’ve been to see the protest in person twice: there is no problem getting around, and the noise is not intrusive.

  5. “We find no evidence that lockdowns, school closures, border closures, and limiting gatherings have had a noticeable effect on COVID-19 mortality”

“Government-imposed lockdowns spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic have proved to be one of the most expensive single events in human history. In Canada alone, the first year of the pandemic yielded a $343 billion federal deficit”

  6. Our Dear Leader Kim Sung Trudeau is coming out of hiding. He will virtually throw babysitting money at Manitoba. He then will virtually visit a donut shop in Regina.

    1. Cuz Manitoa is so pleasing to dear leader with heavy jab restrictions.
Friends on a cross country trip totally skipped stopping in Manitoba for that reason.

      1. That’s what you get with a woman premier. Women have no business running provinces, states or countries. They inevitably act like uber-Karens.

        1. McGuinty, Kenney, Stelmach, Palister, Smallwood, Legault, Horgan, Devine.

          Clark, Redford, Notley, Wynne.

Terrible premiers come in all shapes and sizes. And there is always a new one waiting in the wings.

  7. According to the experts at our favorite news site (CBC), Scott Moe got it all wrong with COVID.

    https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatchewan/covid-19-transmission-scott-moe-1.6336479

“He’s spewing basically nonsense,” said Nazeem Muhajarine, a professor of epidemiology at the University of Saskatchewan.

So what did Captain Moe say?

“The bottom line … is that vaccines do work, but they are no longer working at preventing transmission in this wave of COVID 19, like they previously did in the Delta wave at which they were quite effective,” said Moe.

In other words vaccines do not prevent the transmission of the new variant of COVID to the extent they did for the previous variant. And that is basically nonsense.

“Experts say that although the Omicron variant has lowered the effectiveness of vaccines in preventing transmission, that doesn’t mean they’re useless.” Kind of what Moe said…

From “basically nonsense” to “that doesn’t mean they’re useless” in 2 sentences. Then they venture down the rabbit hole.

“The premier’s decision to view the data as only whole numbers is what experts commonly refer to as a base rate fallacy. But the base rate fallacy isn’t the only issue experts raised about the premier’s conclusion.

“It’s much more complex than that,” said Wong. So Moe is engaging in a fallacy…

The Premier is looking at the data wrong and it’s more complex than mere mortals (non-experts) could ever imagine. For example…

“The problem with using the base rate fallacy to debunk the premier’s statements is that the data the province is reporting is no longer accurate, said Wong (under-statement). The province says only people with significant or worsening cold or flu-like symptoms including fever, or those who are considered at-risk due to underlying health conditions, should get a PCR test to confirm their COVID-19 diagnosis. Everyone else has been instructed to rely on the results of a self-administered rapid test. That means many people who have COVID-19 are no longer being reported as part of the province’s case counts, making the province’s case numbers unreliable. Someone having three doses of a vaccine also means they’re more likely to go get a PCR test, Wong said, although there’s no clear indication on how much that is skewing the data.”

The expert uses terms like “more likely” (not a science term – sorry) and “there’s no clear indication on how much that is skewing the data”. While he makes a good point about people who get jabbed are more likely to get tested, he does not address the high rates of infection in the vaccinated. Why are we (the vaccinated) so prone to catch COVID? Ah – because the vaccines aren’t working as advertised (sounds like Moe’s argument).

In summary, while the experts know the data is/are unreliable, they still “believe” vaccinations reduce the chances of getting COVID, but the Premier acknowledging that vaccinations do not entirely prevent COVID is basically nonsense.

And they wonder why we no longer believe the “experts”.

    1. We need to contact Moe and co and support them.
They need to listen to the people who elected them, not the media liars.

I didn’t vote for the media or the unions.

      1. I didn’t vote to get locked down, either. Or forced to wear masks. Or all-but-forced to take an unproven “vaccine”. Yet, here it all is. I will not give thanks to anyone who is, gram by f’ing gram, giving back to me what was never theirs to take in the first place.

“Gee, thx. May I have s’more, Master? Would you pet me on the head once or twice, too? No? Maybe next time?”

        Fuck that.

“I want my constitutionally guaranteed rights back! All of them! Yesterday! And if I don’t take you to court and hang your ass for infringing upon them, you may consider yourself fortunate.”

I refuse to give the bastards the satisfaction of hearing me beg. The question is, why isn’t every sane person in the country feeling the same?

      1. Olga’s in the can, the film can.

    1. 9 trillion? The U.S. just reached 30 trillion and they have 9 times our population. So our 9 trillion would equate to 81 trillion compared to their 30.
      Outstanding!

Our kids and grandkids will never pay that back. They will just have to keep printing money so they get it back through inflation. there goes my life savings.

    1. He brought tears to my eyes. Enough is enough, I pray that the criminals get out of our lives and locked up.
      Thanks for your post.

  8. Virginia Republicans Vote Down Bill To Ban Police Use of Forged Evidence Documents During Interrogations

The bill was introduced in response to a state investigation that found police used fake forensic evidence during interrogations.

    https://reason.com/2022/02/02/virginia-republicans-vote-down-bill-to-ban-police-use-of-forged-evidence-documents-during-interrogations/?comments=true#comments

This is what Republicans and their boosters really mean when they say they are ‘tough on crime’. They really mean they are tough on due process.

    1. Liberal Canada still allows “Mr. Big” sting operations (which is essentially the same tactic that you quoted)
Every accused person has the right to remain silent.

  9. It is therefore highly probable that in France at least deaths resulting from vaccines will be treated as suicides.

The court allegedly justified its ruling as follows:

The side effects of the experimental vaccine are published and the deceased could not claim to have known nothing about it when he voluntarily took the vaccine. There is no law or mandate in France that compelled him to be vaccinated. Hence his death is essentially suicide.

The court had this to say:

The court recognizes the classification of the insurer who, in view of the announced side effects, including death, legally regards participation in the phase three experiment, whose proven harmlessness is not given, as voluntarily taking a fatal risk that is not covered by the contract and legally recognized as suicide. The family has appealed. However, the insurer’s defense is recognized as well-founded and contractually justified, as this publicly known fatal risk is legally considered suicide, since the customer has been notified and has agreed to voluntarily take the risk of death without being obliged or compelled to do so.
