DeSantis/Noem 2024 or 2028?

Salena Zito has written an interesting article about South Dakota governor, Kristi Noem:

In June, Gov. Kristi Noem raised eyebrows with a campaign ad that showed her riding horseback across an expanse of grasslands as she told voters to “Saddle Up … We’re Just Getting Started.” The commercial was pushed out on Facebook — not just to voters in her own state, but to the people living in key presidential primary states including New Hampshire, Nevada and Iowa.

It immediately sparked talk that the Republican was running for president in 2024.

Watching Noem enter a local business near the state Capitol, the governor exudes all the swagger of a no-nonsense rancher in worn jeans, a cowboy hat and boots. But on the subject of a presidential run, she is coy.

  1. Noem is an establishment Republican. She opposed banning trans athletes competing with women athletes.

She uses a ranching schtick to make people think she’s not part of the Dem/Rep uniparty.

    Never Noem.

    1. Governor Noem backstabbed her own party:

“South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem vetoed a bill that would have barred transgender girls and women from playing sports with other women Monday, just days after she celebrated its passage. The state’s first woman governor still supported House Bill 1217, she said at a press conference, but didn’t sign it because she feared legal backlash from the National Collegiate Athletic Association.”

Just Days after Governor Noem celebrated its passage, she vetoed it because of feared backlash from the NCAA. She caved to big corporate special interests. When the going gets tough? Kristi Noem will gallop away on a fast horse!

    2. I am making $162/hour telecommuting. I never imagined that it was honest to goodness yet my closest companion is earning $21 thousand a month by working on the web, that was truly shocking for me, she prescribed me to attempt it simply ,

  2. Governor Noem is a capable leader but does not have the killer instinct required for swamp draining.
i think someone like Ric Grenell would be better. He knows the intelligence community so could neutralize their games.

    1. Noem is, at best, a baby step in the right direction from Haley. Put another way, Haley is 100% swamp and Noem might be, at best, 97.5% swamp.

Neither are worth spit to Americans seeking to genuinely reclaim their country’s governance from the vampire squids that have taken up permanent residence in DC.

  3. Noem would be ok. I am a bit disappointed in some of her decisions tho.
I think Tulsi Gabbard would make a great choice for a running mate for DeSantis.
Wouldn’t that make the Dem heads roll?

    1. Tulsi is alright, but, if Kari Lake wins her Gov. race in Arizona, she’d be pretty good as well.

She knows just how to handle the legacy news media, as she was a longtime anchor woman, and come out on top with almost all ‘scrums’ with them.

If the Dems. dump Kamala , they can always run alleged and charming Republican(faux) Ana Navarro to counter Tulsi. 🙂

  4. The irony of Republicans putting the first woman in the office of the Presidency would alone be worth it.

  5. Desantis brings only one issue to the table, that being his handling of the covid saga. While he did an exemplary job, I don’t know how he would round out as a solid presidential nominee. While I really like Tulsi and I’d love to see her stick it to the Dems by way of a Republican appointment, she is not running mate material. I’d sooner see her being named to head up veteran’s affairs and not promoted so high from the get go. I believe this is why Nikki Hailey received a couple of plum posts-just to see how she’d do. Too bad she revealed herself as a swamp creature. Tulsi also has an issue with the 2A folks because of her gun control stance.
