1. He has a pathologic need to use the deaths of loved ones to garner sympathy for himself. He probably feels that blaming the “burn pits of Iraq” for Beau’s death will gain him more sympathy than just the random misfortune of getting cancer. In the same way he spent decades blaming an innocent truck driver of “drinking his lunch” to gain sympathy, rather than admitting to the truth that his wife ran a stop sign. The innocent truck driver and his family felt differently of course.
   Biden is a pathologic liar and all around scum bag and he always has been.

The man died before this was possible. The family has requested that he stopped telling that story because it’s painful for them. He doesn’t.
