Reclaim The Net- Dutch finance minister proposes increased financial surveillance

Dutch minister of finance Sigrid Kaag is pushing for the introduction of a central bank digital currency (CBDC) in the Netherlands and the passing of a law requiring banks to monitor all transactions above 100 euro, GB News reported.

The European Central Bank is also pushing for a digital euro. But critics warn that CBDCs can be used to track and monitor citizens, potentially violating some civil liberties.

  1. I’m surprised it’s taken this long – all part of the great reset. Coming soon to Canada given the current government.

  2. In the interim, there’s also the option of limiting cash withdrawals. Watch for that once interest rates collapse back to zero and below.

At less than zero interest, who would want to keep much cash in a chequing or basic savings account? Governments will see to it that you will bleed capital for the “greater good”.

  3. The other development to watch for is when provincial governments and/or their crown corporations begin to default. RRSP rules will be changed so that if you want the tax break, you will have to put a significant percentage of your savings into government or CC bonds. Maybe even green energy projects once those begin to collapse financially.

    1. I have no idea why anyone would agree to put their money into the government’s hands.

The CPP is the biggest rip-off.

      1. It’s not like we had any choice: I’m retired now, but all the jobs I had included deductions from my paycheck, and CPP was one of them. It was required by law.

  4. Next best thing to communism. It should be amazing how quickly the once free west follows the CCP but given the last century of increasingly Marxist professoriate and their drone march through the institutions and how easily the Eloi will embrace their statist shackles, not so amazing. Bolsheviks draped in green are now either in power or pull the strings of most who are in power.

Recommend Gold, Silver, Copper and of course, lead (acquire before cash is confiscated and deemed worthless). Use the CBDCs for state approved transactions while holding and hiding real money for everything else. Don’t keep real money in a Bank.

  5. I’m amazed that anyone is allowed to speak positively about these CBDC’s without significant political blowback, they are so obviously a very bad, horrible idea for anyone who is concerned about individual freedom, liberty, free speech, and independence.

It’s like listening to public figures tell us that the idea of concentration camps was really theoretically sound, but that Auschwitz was just badly managed.

  6. Sorry … but it is time to remind mankind that God has already spoken to us about this … in great predictive detail …

The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. 16 It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, 17 so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name, 18 This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man.[e] That number is 666.

Funny, isn’t it? That a 2,000 yo superstitious Jesus cult had so perfectly described in great detail the precise actions of our current unholy elites. Yep … just a superstitious religious cult … let your “rational brain” keep telling you that.

    1. Scummy a-holes have always -wanted- to do this type of thing, Kenji. You can see the pattern repeat throughout history. The Sumerians tried 10,000 years ago, the Egyptians did it, they’ve all done it. If you control who buys and sells, you control everything. All the religions talk about how stupid that is. Lao Tsu said it before Christ was a carpenter. It is not surprising to see early Christians come to the same conclusion on their own.

It’s just that lately we have the technology to do it easily and -cheaply-, which none of the previous scummy a-holes did.

It’s the myth of centralized command and control. The King (who by definition is a genius) has all the good ideas, and if he can stop all the stupid peasants from screwing everything up the nation will Win.

Sadly, this is almost exactly backwards to Reality, as witnessed by the abject failure of centralization every single time it is tried. Even water systems don’t work that way. Ask the Egyptians, dynasty after dynasty tried to do it that way and came up short every time.

  7. All transactions above €100?!?! Get real. That’s a nice dinner out or a night in a mid-level hotel. She wants to monitor my romantic night away with my wife!

  8. Digital ID and money is the hill to die on…

We already proved the shots were unnecessary and evily deadly…

  9. READ THIS (and I mean it!).

Laundering With Immunity: The Control Framework – Part 1

    https://www.theburningplatform.com/2022/11/02/laundering-with-immunity-the-control-framework-part-1/

    STORY AT A GLANCE

    * 76 International organizations and banks enjoy immunities, privileges, and tax exemptions
    * GAVI, Big Pharma, and CERN enjoy similar immunities
    * The Bank for International Settlements has sovereign immunity and some of these immunities extend to its members, being 63 central banks and the Federal Reserve System, while other immunities extend to “systemically important institutions”
    * Trillions of taxpayer dollars and printed money has moved through these organizations and banks with no transparency or accountability as they continue to build a global enslavement system
    * Hundreds, if not thousands, of NGOs and corporations work with and through these organizations and banks, some of whom have agreements, NDAs, and/or immunity by extension

  10. That place needs to be reclaimed by the sea.
Anyone advocating for digital currency is your mortal enemy.

  11. One can ask the question …
…What the hell is with the low life political scumbags that want to control everyone else?
…. Who elects these a$$holes into the position of power where they want absolute control?
    Are the plebeians this stupid?

    1. None of them were “electe”

Installed is a much better description

All or most Fully bought and financially supported by WEF and its many Ultra Rich Adherents…in North America its G. SOROS and his Open Society GARBAGE.

  12. During our latst pandemic I started tipping about 20% in the “fast food joints”, as an extra thank you to the staff for being there. If, in the rare instance I didn’t have the funds, the service is exactly the same – friendly, fast, and courteous. What’s my point? With tipping now being done as a button on my fund paying card taxes are paid, so I’ve started using cash for my “thank you gift”. Maybe cash even for the food charges at the franchises.

I may print up some cards saying “This is a GIFT to you – gifts are non-taxable”

    1. Good luck with that.
      RevCan aint stupid.
They know that servers and restaurant workers receive cash tips and they expect to see a certain percentage declared come filing time else an audit.
They will get their pound of flesh one way or another.

Cash tips are probably better for the worker as it keeps it away from unscrupulous business owners who would keep those tips if paid by card.
