Baby Boomers

This might be behind a paywall. Here’s a couple of key paragraphs.

Doc Anarchy- Psychotropic Shooter, SSRIs linked to school shootings

SSRIs have a long list of side effects we won’t get into. You can google them if you are interested. One warning that comes along with SSRIs is what’s known as a “Black Box Warning.” These are warnings that the drug you’re about to take carries a serious risk to your safety. The Black Box Warning on SSRIs is for increased suicidal ideation in adolescents.

Another hypothesis which also makes sense is the drugs mess with the brain chemistry to the point that whatever stops normal people from killing each other no longer functions. It’s hard to say. One of the other side effects of SSRIs is an increased propensity for violence. Young boys and men are naturally more violent than young women or adults. It is just their nature. Adding a pharmaceutical to the mix makes the entire situation worse.

  1. I have personally treated hundreds of murderers in state prisons.
This phenomenon is likely schizophrenia, a common illness with a 1% prevalence rate worldwide.
The basic gestalt in medical school lectures to the students is simple: “don’t try to understand crazy people.”
It is a very sad commentary on our media and education system that psychological explanations are proposed as an alternative to the medical model. Every educated person should be aware of the basic pathophysiology and common manifestations of this disease.
Lots of different presentations consistent with a polygenetic disease with multiple genetic risk variants, e.g. “We are Legion.”
Eliminating SSRIs is not going to make a big difference most likely…..

  2. males more violent than females . testosterone is a hellava drug . but it did help keep the big cats out of the cave more than the curtains.

  3. Alex Jones has been saying for years that all the students who are school shooters are highly medicated. When I was in school students who got too much out of line got a tune up by teachers or other students. Today they are pumped full of drugs that solve some problems but seem to cause others.

      1. …because it works, and it has no Black Box Warning since it’s one of the safest of all prescription medicines.

  4. I dont know if societal morality has any impact on keeping these sociopathic killers in check – but we have long moved from society at large holding solid moral values. On top of that sociopathic behavior is rewarded and or lionized – Tsarnaevs pic on the cover of Rolling Stone just one example.

Perhaps some of those just on the edge were kept in check years ago – whereas today there are zero boundaries

  5. another example of why many of us don’t trust the ‘establishment’. Lots of medical research gets lost in the weeds due to money/power interests. I am slowly coming to the conclusion that it was always so. Cholesterol, cancer, mental issues, heart issues, etc all are major cash cows for industry. If even a sizeable minority of science (and journalism) would be intellectually honest, we would be in a different world.

  6. Dope the kids to the gills, teach them that they are evil if white, that its OK to kill whitey, and tell them that boys are actually girls, and vice-versa, then fight like the devil to stop schools from hardening themselves against attacks, and when the attack (ie the desired outcome) occurs, use it as a pretext to disarm all the people who didn’t attack anyone.
The evil of these people is mind-boggling.

  7. I’ve mentioned the name Willis Eschenbach here occasionally, he’s an exuberant guy with a PhD in climate science and an overawing curiosity about many, many things. He looked into it – virtually all school shooters have two things in common:
    1. SSRI’s – Denninger has also commented on them. In a very small but statistically significant number of teens, SSRI’s make them suicidal or homicidal. This is very well documented, and all the big pharmaceutical companies live in fear – teens are far-and-away their biggest market for SSRI’s; and
    2. no father in the house.
I’ll look-up his url on this and post it later this evening (if I remember).

  8. In my admittedly limited experience, I have noticed that only gen X and later are abandoning cable TV, and that the Boomers prefer to pay their oppressors to propagandize them and anyone else they can in return for NHL, CFL, NFL, F1, FIFA, etc.

    1. HiHo

      Not this boomer.

Chord cut near 7 yrs ago
Nvidea Shield pro and 80/ mo. To stream.
      Screw MSM

      1. Incorrect. Which generation came between the greatest and boomers? It doesn’t start there, but medication got traction in that time frame. What you’re looking for, the entire subject of this thread, started even before the grearest generation. However, as I said, the movement gained serious traction in the pre-boomer years. That is, the boomers were most medicated and not just because larger cadre.

  9. Blame Big Pharma.
Some kids are hyperactive, and like to move around alot.
Some kids are a bit loopy.
Some kids have a short fuse.
    Some kids are cheerful.
    Some kids are wistful.
Some kids are all sorts of things, just like people are supposed to be…
None of these “conditions” justify pharmaceutical intervention with the kids brains or bodies.

    1. Blame Big Pharma AND big teachers unions. The teachers unions wanted drugged kids….easier to “teach”

  10. Looks at the line outside the school nurse’s office at lunchtime.. when I went to school, there be two or three kids who had ‘meds’ to take, mostly allergy medicine.

Since the mid 90’s, there is a line out the door and snaking around hallways. Mostly speed and SSRIs, probably some gender transition drugs

    1. Where were the parents back in the day?
Oh yeah, they had already outsourced their children’s upbringing to the state.
My parents did the same, except that they saw to it I learned to read, write and do math (up to calculus) outside of the system.
Not to mention fight and shoot a gun.

  11. Since it’s widely accepted that SSRIs can lead to suicidal thoughts and actions for various people, why wouldn’t they potentially lead to homicidal thoughts? The only difference is the object of the action.

What’s unusual about the mass shooters these days is that, unlike the serial killers of old, they make no attempt to hide their activities or plan for an escape. In fact, they seem to want to get caught.

    1. I would think you would see a very clear correlation between the use of SSRIs and mass shootings. Of course, the media and government goons will never admit that because they run cover for Big Pharma and government.
