113 Replies to “Proof that Pierre Poilievre is Controlled Opposition?”

  1. The CPC is controlled opposition. Ask Joe Clark or John Diefenbaker. Or ask Brian Mulroney or Kim Campbell. They may not even have been aware there are two parties.

  2. Pollievre owes Christine Anderson and his MP’s an apology.

Also the handful of conservative Canadians that thought for a few minutes that he might have the backbone to stand up to the Legacy Media.

Kinsella just handed the election to Trudeau since the PPC just picked up a million voters., of course not enough to beat Trudeau.
I will vote for PPC with a clear conscience.

Once again Ezra does real investigative journalism.

    1. Party(s) is (are) the problem. We need to elect individuals that can negotiate and cooperate with, or, oppose which ever group/idea would benefit or damage their riding. It could be possible that a small group of 5 or 6 people will hold the balance of power in the next parliament. How else do we break the one-world strangle hold?

It must be incredibly difficult to act independently or we would have seen more MPs do it during the lockdowns. The system is rotten we saw that in the way it worked against independent thought and action in the last 3.5 years.

    2. It’s not going to matter what Pierre does at this point.

He is shown to be an opportunist willing to throw his fellow MPs under the bus for some imaginary bluster (say, is Pierre bothered by racist attacks Leslyn Lewis is enduring?).

He has given the f@g temporary reprieve from the scrutiny he deserves.

      1. He has given the f@g temporary reprieve

As have all Junior’s political foes, in all parties, (including his own). And the “temporary reprieve” has been in effect for almost a decade now. Or perhaps it stretches back as far to his immaculate conception.

You can either believe he lives under the protection of a special star, or you can assume that everything is fixed. I assume that latter, but I often wonder who really is in control. Not that moron.

        1. Neither. He just has a voting base that doesn’t trust the CPC, and conservative voters are SO easy to divide and conquer.

Just read some of the comments here and on other conservative websites and you’ll see why the CPC is so easy to defeat. The CPC has to field the Perfect candidate who never makes a verbal mistake, OR ELSE we’ll go vote PPC with a clear conscience!!

Say whatever you want about Liberal voters, they back their candidate and don’t care what scandals he’s involved in because they recognize the ugly fact that you have POWER in government, NONE in Opposition, unlike too many CPC supporters who bail at the first sign of imperfection and vote for someone like Max Bernier. Butts and Telford must be watching this latest Conservative debacle and laughing themselves sick.

Rigged elections? Sure, that’s just an easy way out of facing the fact the CPC base is neurotic and fickle, and don’t mind losing as long as they can delude themselves that they hold the moral high ground.

Someone here in 2015 stated that he figured Trudeau would be PM for at least 12 years. I see no reason to disagree.

          1. conservative voters are SO easy to divide and conquer.

You appear to ignore the obvious fact that it is the socialist authoritarian vote that is fractured in this country.

The Greens, NDP, Libs, and Bloq are all quasi-Marxists, and all are fighting in each other’s territory.

The crowded left-wing is the reason Junior comes up short the past two elections. That and the fact that he is a crap campaigner and is intensely disliked by most Canadians.

    3. The Libral Party still own the Conservatives. “U-oh, a Liberal called us a naughty name – run, run!” The political experts advising the Tories just do not learn. All it took was a drive-by slur from Warren Kinsella of all people!

  3. The language looks like it was written by a Liberal douche-bag or ChatGPT. PP needs to get in front of this. Blame his tweet on a staffer and cut them loose. Same with the anonymous leaker to Lilley or claim Lilley completely made it up and demand both he and Kinsella be fired or sue them.

    1. “PP needs to get in front of this. Blame his tweet on a staffer and cut them loose.”

Ain’t going to happen. Conservative puppets just have to dance to their Liberal media string-pullers. It’s in their blood.

    2. Checking my scorecard:
      1) Brian Lilley has turned wishy-washy lying liberal since he moved to Toronto… check!
      2) Pierre Poilievre was not to be trusted, and should be scrutinized… check!

      So far, I’m battin’ 1.000!
I just caught a glimpse of CTV’s Question Period’s scrum this morning (liberal, liberal, Scott Reid (Popcorn and beer liberal), and Tom Mulcair), and three guesses what they were talking about. Yep! And the narrative is that PP should be booting out Leslyn Lewis, just as Doug Ford booted out Roman Babar, (and Randy Hillier.)

Look over there! PP is entertaining Nazi’s! Never mind that Trudeau hired an anti-Semite as an islamophobia consultant, or never mind that CSIS is damning the Lie-berals for not doing enough on China’s election interference.

    1. I want to love this country but I’ve become convinced it can’t be saved, at least not in the short term. I’m currently hiding in Mexico. Not sure where I’ll go next.

  4. While I know that this was a deliberate liberal smear campaign and I loathe to let this kind of underhanded politics work – The response from Pierre (‘s office) shows a real lack of character. How is his response any different than sock boy calling me an unacceptable fringe minority ? The same mentality is in play. I was going to vote – grudgingly – for Pierre. Not so sure anymore. Will see what he , himself, has to say further

    1. Newf, one of my first comments when PP was put out there was, we shall see, and now we have. Just one more liberal lite conservative like all the rest.

  5. I had such high hopes for Poilievre, despite knowing full well he was, and is, a professional politician.

  6. The Conservatives and Liberals used to use the same backroom political advisor groups.
    I can’t remember the names.

  7. Every conservative leader has inherited the party’s office staff and advisors. I’m not going to make excuses for pp or anyone else but if your support staff are all ingrained with the Ontario perspective, it’s pretty hard to stay on a path that would satisfy real conservative voters. No leader would have the time or ability to check every story or source for the truth. They rely on their staff for far too much. Again, not making any excuses for them, but the rot in the party is the same as the rot in government, the bureaucracy runs everything and they have most of the power in the day to day operations.

    1. PP has seen at least three party leaders go under with the current staff. By now one would think he would have replaced them or thought very carefully about their direction. He is failing and is soon to be Pinky O’Stoole 2.0. TurdHole must be rubbing his crotch area with glee.

  8. Any Conservative party member in Canada who talks to , or has any business dealings or as much as walks past and says hello to the ultra super duper hyper hyper hyperpartisan Liberal Party scumbag named Warren Kinsella should be stripped of his/her conservative party membership and expelled from the Conservative Party of Canada.

Warren Kinsella is TOXIC WASTE and should be treated as such!

    1. You DO know that the O’Toole CPC used it’s member’s donations to hire Kinsella to smear Max Bernier, right?

YOUR party did that. Did you approve of that expenditure? Did you agree with that decision?

I was a CPC member for 6 years. I talked the party up to all and sundry. I gave them donations, I wrote my MP, I wrote to various Ministers and even the PM. In short, I did all that we want people to do: I got involved.

But that last year, I was getting fed up with the fecklessness, the timidity of the party and it’s leaders, and most of all- the lies, like “We will re-write the Firearms Act”. The disgusting actions like Harper’s C-51: the “spying on Canadians” bill that they rammed through, even though it took them 3 tries, in the face of severe opposition even from within the party itself.

And one day I ‘d had enough of voting for second best, for voting “strategically”. That was when I decided that never again would I support a party that wasn’t close to my beliefs.

These days, my support is behind Max and the PPC. They are closest to what I belief, so they get my support.

Let the chips fall where they may- the country is finished anyway, so as Donald Trump said to the blacks-

“What have you got to lose?”

  9. PP was listening to the zit-faced, poly-sci grad, compromisers-with-evil, hanger’s on that infest the major parties and the reason why Mad Max is the home for principled protest voters. This is PP’s greatest test and if he doesn’t apologize (or find actual proof of his allegations) and weather the opposition media’s orgy of hate, he’s finished. The coalition known as the Conservatives ranges from the left to right and as we all know here, the right is willing to abandon them. With the LPC/NDP hegemony intact, Canada is unsalvageable but the threat of the left within the Cons joining them is less likely than their “right” going to Max.

  10. PP also scored an own goal when he denounced the Fcuk Trudeau signs and those who displayed them

Did he think this was going to pull liberal voters to his side.

Leslyn Lewis had the correct response.

    1. The same Leslyn Lewis who is being battered with racist insults on Twitter.

Will Pierre run to her defense?

  11. It’s amateur hour for the CPC back room children again. Again. Purge those latte sipping advisors. Especially that twit Kinsella.
Your are going to lose another election because of these idiots.

  12. I too am shocked and disappointed but keep in mind the most important thing: not for Canada’s sake (I’m done with the concept), but for the sake of our families, friends, everything we value; everything we value: Trudeau and his enablers MUST be ousted. Please no vote-splitting, at least until after that’s accomplished. After which we can hopefully negotiate a peaceful divorce from the Losers of the Plains of Abraham.

      1. Exactly, while doing you up the rear, the CPC will say, “Well at least we put on more KY. We’re not giving it to you dry like the LPC.”

    1. “Trudeau and his enablers MUST be ousted. Please no vote-splitting, at least until after that’s accomplished.”

You are a perfect example of the real problem here, sadly.

They count on the naivety of people like you to maintain the status quo.

    2. I think that was the strategy in Ontario. Now we have a liberal with a blue tie running the show. Yea for us!

  13. I understand that Anderson has been critical of western funding of the war effort in the Ukraine, as are many Germans. My guess is that the Ukrainian war lobby had a hand in goading PP into cancelling her.

    1. She was against the lockdowns, ‘ vaccines ‘, and general tyranny from the start of the Shiteshow ™.
She also gave Le Turd a thorough tongue lashing in the EU Parliment over his treatment of the Freedom Truckers, the Canadian general public seizure of assets over supporting the convoy and the new Internet Censure bill.
She supports the NL Farmers in their fight against their own government trying to destroy family farms.
She got extra support from other members in the EU Parliament in her quest and is enemy number one among the Elites.
As an allie amongst the common man she is a beacon of hope and common sense, hence the need to silence her.

  14. Leaders lead. To win the war, one needs to control the narrative, e.g. taking ownership of two simple words “FAKE NEWS” vs. a hostile press. It’s been tried before elsewhere & succeeded in turning the political establishment on its head.

  15. PP could actually profit from this.
Admit his error and take the blame, not blame it on the back office. Admit that such a serious charge should not go out until he sees and signs off on it.
He needs — and will I’m sure — get right out there and apologise to Anderson and meet with her and be seen meeting with her.
AND take Lilley to task for his standard sloppiness (he’s never been a conservative) and berate the creepy Lieberal fixer for the deliberate calumny he heaped upon her.

And oh, let’s drop the childish “controlled opposition” crap and let’s not dump the most promising Conservative in ages over a single error. My gawd, people, quit seeking and insisting on nothing short of perfection.

      1. “In other words, keep doing what we’ve always been doing, and expect it to work this time.”

        Einstein’s definition of insanity, yes.

    1. He can’t walk back from this.

He is shown to be an opportunist who gets sidelined by Justin.

How does the village idiot get ahead of Pierre?

    2. “let’s not dump the most promising Conservative in ages over a single error. ”

      A *single* error?

You like the price-fixing monopoly of the Quebec dairy cartel, then? And voting to call Canadian residential schools “A genocide”?

      (to name just two)

He had a few chances to prove himself a conservative…he failed at all of them.

    3. “And oh, let’s drop the childish “controlled opposition” crap and let’s not dump the most promising Conservative in ages over a single error. My gawd, people, quit seeking and insisting on nothing short of perfection.”

      Uni-Party.

“You can vote for their Lizard or our Lizard as long as you vote for a Lizard.”

Walks like a duck, looks like a duck, then it probably is a Uni-party Turd, voting such into office will change nothing.
60 years of continuous debt and decay?
      Might be yer first clue.?

      1. John Robertson.

        Lizards.
Albert J Nock: Our Enemy, the State.
So yes, we’ll be voting for a lizard. But we do want a lizard who will do the least amount of damage.
That is PP who has a fair shot at winning.
Max has zero chance. And it will remain so despite the crybabies running for the exit. .

And oh yeah, Kinsella is enjoying this!

        1. Sorry Menticide,I am now convinced that the Conservatives have done us more harm than the Liberal/NDP tagteam.
They have pretended to be many things, yet are always the same when in power, better the enemy I know than the supposed ally who keeps stabbing me in the spine.
Their only dispute with the Liberal Tyrants is who gets to wear the jackboot.
They claim “They can manage the State” better..same state, one of Thuggery.
The performance of all our representatives, all 338,during Dread Covid Theatre otherwise known as The State of Hysteria, tells me all I need to know.
They are all supporters of a nation in which the State reserves the right to crush the citizen.
          Every last one of them.
As a citizen, it is my obligation to destroy such a State.

          1. John Robertson – It should never be forgotten that save one lone CPC MP who went against party dictates Trudeau would have had for 2 years full dictatorship. He deserves the order of Canada. Now if I could just find his name – because when I search it is like it never happened. There is 337 MPs who should be booted. In addition , Pierre has now successfully painted the CPC as racist with the absurd response that will be the story for days. This has scared away people whose support of the Liberals was wavering and certainly lost support of a large number who were less than satisfied with performance of the CPC but wanted Trudeau gone. I sense the whole thing was mute anyway ,as the NDP voters would likley sway to prevent the win anyway. It shouldn’t rocket science to understand that on a good day 65% are not conservative.

  16. Does anyone have the document that is quoting PP? It sure looks like it is a small portion of a much larger document. Which would mean that the quote could be completely out of context. A typical Warren Kinsella smear job to try and stop the news about the CCP meddling in elections.

    1. From the NP,
In a written statement responding to the concerns Friday, Poilievre said Anderson’s views are “vile” and that her “racist, hateful views are not welcome here.”

“The MPs were not aware of this visiting member of the European Parliament’s opinions, and they regret meeting with her. Frankly, it would be better if Anderson never visited Canada in the first place,” the statement said.

The three MPs said in their own statement that it is not uncommon to meet with visiting elected officials from other countries.

“We were not aware of the views or associations of her and her political party. We do not share or endorse her views and strongly condemn any views that are racist or hateful,” said the statement attributed to Carrie, Allison and Lewis. (end Quote)

There were no links to or proof of the allegations in the article other than her actual conservative bona fides and the hate quotes from the usual suspects (the Spawn-Fuhrer and Bernie Farber)

      1. “There were no links to or proof of the allegations in the article other than her actual conservative bona fides and the hate quotes from the usual suspects (the Spawn-Fuhrer and Bernie Farber)”

Jacobins don’t need to stinkin proof, off with his head, burn the witch, all hail purity.

      2. “Poilievre said Anderson’s views are “vile” and that her “racist, hateful views are not welcome here.”

Can he, or the Liberals, or the MSM give us any actual *examples* of these supposed “racist, hateful views”?

Do you have any direct quotes from Christine Anderson herself to prove your allegations? Yes or no?

          1. “No it is “recieved wisdom” AKA lies, planned, plotted and erupted from the PMO.”

I just read as much of Justin Ling’s hit piece on Anderson as I could stand. The whole thing boils down to “Here’s what she says…but *this* is what she really means:”. Pure speculation presented as if it were fact.

    2. It wasn’t Kinsella that released the text message. It was Lilley. Then instead of actually doing journalistic work, Lilley cited Kinsella’s article to double-down. That article used references from the ADL, the Canadian so-called “Anti-Hate” network, the SPLC and other such rabid, left-wing sources, without once citing ANYTHING that Christine Anderson actually said that would brand her a Nazi!!!

If this were a trial case, it would be dismissed as the testimony brought forth was nothing but here-say. There’s no “smoking gun” here!

      1. Ezra did the work that Lilley was too lazy to do.
The 3 CPC members could have done the research as well. Epic fail on their part.
Lewis replied to Trudeau. She also deserves an apology from PP.

  17. Poilievre has calculated that he doesn’t need the votes of the 5% of Canadians who voted for the PPC in 2021. So, in his thinking, it’s a far better strategy to throw Christine Anderson and the MPs who met with her under the bus than be attacked for not doing so by the media/Trudeau/Jagmeet/etc. from now until election day. It’s the same reason why he hasn’t said boo about Trudeau jacking up immigration rates to a nation-destroying 500,000 per year.

Why? Because he has been leading in most polls since he was elected leader a year ago, and according to Abacus Data his lead is now up to 8 points. The Liberals are now losing in every region of the country except Atlantic Canada, and generally look like they are heading for a crushing defeat. So, from a strictly political point of view, the smart thing to do is to position himself about one millimeter to the right of Trudeau and avoid controversy at all costs.

    https://abacusdata.ca/canadian-politics-polling-abacus-data-february-2023/

Of course what he is doing is morally despicable, and no actual conservative-minded person should vote for him, on principle. I will be voting for Max for the third time in a row and don’t really care who wins. But if you want to know why we conservatives are continually stabbed in the back by these rotating CPC leaders, it’s because in a left-leaning country like this, our votes simply don’t matter.

    1. Pierre will lose.

37% translates roughly to what Harper had in 2008…or about 150 seats.

Liberal/NDP coalition will override any PP “win” and when that happens you’ll see some boomer heads explode in Western Canada.

      1. Liberal/NDP coalition

Coalition implies some sort of power sharing, or distribution of offices between the parties.

        There is no such thing.

The NDP has agreed to support Liberal legislation in the Commons, and to back the Liberals in committees. That is all.

What Jagmeet receives as compensation for services rendered is unclear, but one thing we know for sure he has not been given a share of power.

Power remains undiluted and unalloyed within Junior’s PMO. Junior doesn’t even share power with his cabinet “colleagues”.

          1. influence perhaps?

hahaha….you know, Jag might just be THAT stupid! To give everything you can to a desperate man in exchange for something so intangible and cheap…

I’m not certain myself, but I tend to think he’s neither stupid nor naive. He’s getting something all right…

    2. I don’t think it is left-leaning. It is a welfare state with a media that sings in unison with the establishment of academia and bureaucracy. All welfare states will go the way of the dinosaur, eventually, I just hope I live to see the day, but they currently have decades to go wherein they can control opposition and defeat financial reality with the increased tyranny of CBDCs and social credit and censorship.

      Oh, this is so depressing.

  18. The PP Press release reads as written by an angry young woman.
But PP has had plenty of time to correct such idiocy.
    And has chosen not to.
The boy has no external references,no strength of character,no inner self to trust.
He has no experience of life outside politics.
So “Polls” are his “holy standard”.
His only way to measure his impact.

Without a certain self knowledge, the clinger to polls cannot stand up.

All the “faint Hopes” in this new leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, will be dashed by this single flaw.

He has no spine, for he has never worked anywhere where one is necessary.

Political Science Graduates, should be run off any place they appear.
Slimy manipulators of surface emotions, they can never understand real working people..
But boy can they act the part.

We are seeing in real time, the rearranging of the Deck Chairs..Pierre Poilievre can only be what he is.
    A man of few accomplishments.
    With character to match.

    Leader of the Conservatives..Right.
The Blue Tied Wing of the Ottawa Uni-Party,to which the Western Citizen has never been welcome.

      1. Polls have been more screwy than usual. Depending on the firm and presumably the “polling methodology”, either the spread is +1 for Junior or +10 for the Cons. Polling seems to have even less accountability attached to it than even politics itself.

  19. It is as though Poilievre caved in to his handlers and lost control.
Was waiting for this moment, the so called “Conservative” leaders will always cave in to the liberal backroom handlers.
So called “Conservative” leader in Canadia is selected on basis of how long he will stay the course or rather how soon will he cave.
    Happens every bloody time.
    Who you gonna call?

It is really sad that it is impossible for the working Canadians to select someone that will hold his head even and let the media shit to bounce off back at them, should take compulsory lessons from certain DeSantis. The guy knows whereof he speaks and shoots back twice as hard.

    1. Just to ad a PS, so called “Conservatives”, no money for you.

I know, I know, though it seem appropriate in this case.

    2. Well Pierre also was just at the Ukrainian event with Ford and Trudeau in Toronto and I saw Pierre declare Glory to Ukraine (Feb 24).
      What a guy.

  20. It’s time to recall Read’s Law:  “No politician can fly higher in office than he flew while getting there.” – Leonard Read, (Foundation for Economic Education, FEE). IOW, if this is how PP campaigns, he will actually govern worse.

  21. Do the right thing Pierre and step down and let a real women take over the leadership. Leslyn Lewis has always been a leader, spoken the truth and not afraid to stand her ground or call out things for what they are.

    1. I am going to throw my support and hat in with the PPC and Bernier , I am done with the Conservatives.

  22. Just sent a letter to the leader of the ‘opposition.’.

“You have lost and the so called “Liberals” won.
You rolled over and died on something that you don’t know and probably never heard of the woman, never heard of what the woman said.
You listened to your staff of graduates of Political Scientology that never been outside, never climbed a mountain, never smelled a rose, know nothing of real life.
Unfortunately, you have turned into the same mush as 2 of your predecessors.

No money for you until there is improvement.

Remember, if you please you opponents, you lose, they win. You lose with people that trusted you.
    You just lose.

Now, I don’t expect the you get to read this, the Political Scientologists that surround you will not let you know, they know the ‘”Liberal” ways to keep you ignorant of the real world.

‘Been good to know you, ‘been good to see you at Spruce Meadows, too bad you disappointed.”

It of course is doubtful that he will reply.

    1. Everyone send a note of anger to Poilievre and CC every MP!!

Tell them no cash, no support, no working at the poles
      on election day, no volunteering.

    2. “Remember, if you please you opponents, you lose, they win. You lose with people that trusted you.
      You just lose.”

Why does Erin O’Toole appear in my head when I read this line?

  23. Time for PP to take the reigns from the CPC metro-sexual brain trustees and show some leadership and RECANT.
Whities holding traditional values are being smeared routinely by Dear Leader and now PP bends over & goes along with a smear job along similar lines and forces other MPs to bend over also! This won’t age well.

  24. Look, I hate Trudeau as much as anyone, BUT only a damn fool would vote in an identical platform and attitude just to get rid of him. Pierre just signalled how he intends to deal with dissent. It won’t help the country if YOUR prick is in charge.

  25. Is PP getting advice from Harper’s brigade of soft-handed policy wonks?
And are they so retarded that they can’t follow links and get down to the bones?

I don’t like pencil-necks, but I really don’t like short-pants-wearing pencil-necks who think they’re the smartest dude in the room – think Gerald Butts/UnMe had a baby – and just don’t understand that, ultimately, ballistics may get involved if they don’t STFU.

    1. think Gerald Butts/UnMe had a baby

hmm…I am forming a mental image of Pete Buttigieg right now.

And just how are things in Ohio?

    1. Cheques are not cancelled by telling your bank to do that.
CPC can take them to MoneyMart and MoneyMart will sue you to honour your debt.
There is case law. A dishonoured cheque remains a debt obligation to the holder.

    2. Actually, it is putting a “stop payment” on the cheque.
A cancelled cheque is one that has been processed by the bank and is now only a record of the transaction(s).

  26. I have just sent this to Pierre’s team
You have disappointed me Pierre. I have hoped you were more then you seemed and was willing to take you at your word until you proved otherwise.
This condemnation of Euro MP Anderson(elected by her own constituents) reeked of the trudeau attitude of dismissal and contempt of those you don’t understand. You apparently did no research on this woman and let someone else make up your mind on what she stands for(this is my charitable interpretation because if this is your informed opinion you are not fit for my vote). I was called an UNACCEPTABLE who does not belong in canada by trudeau. You have just called another person the same – with no better reason than him.
This is not the leadership we need. If you cannot resolve this I will be voting PPC in the next election. This will, at least, mean my own principles are intact.
    Principles matter Pierre
You would do well to remember this

    With Respect
    Danny Fitzpatrick – CPC member

  27. I’ve had a number of calls from the Ottawa CPC for donations these last few months since PP took over.
My reply has been, NO, first you show me you can be worthy of my support, my money, and my labor, to assist in getting the CPC elected. Well, they just showed they are not worthy of it. Max will gain big from this, and he will get my vote and cash as well.

  28. I’ll go with don’t split the vote. Anyone voting for Poilievre instead of PPC is brain dead or a Trudeau lackey (not necessarily brain dead, but evil and corrupt).

What’s particularly ironic is that Poilievre owes his job as CPC leader to the truckers (and the millions of Canadians that support freedom).

  29. Wow, it looks like I was in error on the number of errors.
Agreed, this wasn’t his only error. Residential schools, dairy cartels.
Yeah I was pissed especially over the residential schools sign on.
HOWEVER, too many people, including too many above, illustrate the adage that perfection is the enemy of the good.
And too many have a simplistic child-like view that “I want it ALL and right this minute” failing to understand that Canada is a 70% socialist country.
BUT I will repeat: he is the most promising conservative in ages and this childish tantrum and threat to lock in another Trudope term by running to the perennial loser PPC sickens me (tho I am extremely impressed with the platform that has zero chance of coming into play in this socialist company town — company being the gubmint).

    1. “…illustrate the adage that perfection is the enemy of the good.”

They’re not even genuine about it. They just use it as a convenient bludgeon.

    2. The actual error is this.

Does Poilievre know anything at all about the Anderson woman?

If he does, he should either STFU or just play it into the out, for he would know that Anderson is blameless in this case.

If he does not, he should have looked it up or STFU.

As it was, the political scientologists that advise him told him what to say, they are completely useless assholes, have dealt with them, here being charitable.

The idiot that represents this riding is a seat warmer for the CPC, completely and utterly useless piece of …. there is no getting rid of him.

      Who you gonna call?

    3. “BUT I will repeat: he is the most promising conservative in ages and this childish tantrum and threat to lock in another Trudope term by running to the perennial loser PPC sickens me ”

Then I will repeat as well: Pierre Poilievre is NO CONSERVATIVE. He played a good game until push came to shove but was ultimately exposed as just another Liberal Lite sucking up to us for our votes so he can then turn around and piss all over us once elected. The CPC has been hijacked by remnants of the “Progressive Conservative” party, a federal party that died for good reason. Do you honestly think we want or need another Canadian government that is Liberal in everything but name?

There is one way (and ONLY one way) for conservative supporters in Canada to foil this plan, and that is not to vote for him…it is to either vote PPC or spoil your ballot. I choose to vote PPC. When the CPC vote goes down 5 or 10 percent and the PPC vote goes *up* 5 or 10 percent, the message we send WILL be received, loud and clear. There is no such thing as a wasted vote. I prefer to play the long game here: short term pain = long term gain.

As for the fear-mongering about the Liberals getting another minority…so what? The Conservatives under Pierre Poilievre would only promote exactly the same policies and enact exactly the same legislation as the Liberals (what, you think PP will actually *overturn* the handgun ban? LOL!…).

We got rid of Scheer. We got rid of O’Toole. We will get rid of Poilievre.

(…and, in all honesty, he actually did have me fooled too, for a while. I’m not ashamed to admit I was wrong…why are you?)

    4. Agreed, perfection is the enemy of the good, but adopting lock stock and barrel your opponent’s positions is perfectly good for the enemy.

  30. I’m not surprised, PP may be a decent chap but he has signed up for a hopeless task, which is to do the bidding of the back room boys and pretend to be something he’s not, or at least something he won’t be allowed to be any more.

Time to end this charade and get the mass of CPC support to realize that real change can only come from a party that is free to respond to the voters and not to special interest groups behind the scenes. Of course that one option is the PPC. Most informed conservatives already figured that out five years ago.

  31. PP could try out this “Exciting new slogan”..”Putting the Con in conservative”.
    Reform was wrong.
    The West wants out.
“Unacceptable view”,who are these worthless people to say what POV is acceptable?
They claim to work for us?
    They Lie.
And them deciding that they are the judge of who is moral or not, proves they lie.

And an established kleptocracy, such as Canada, cannot be reformed.
Not using Roberts Rules for Committees.
Nor by voting for change,as those who count the vote gets to say who won..
When laws are made by fools and bandits, then being a foolish bandit is the most legal position in such a society..
    Behold Can Ahh Duh.
Where being an employer puts you at risk of million dollar fines and jail time..
And where theft by government minion is ignored,if they resign in time..

And pensions must be paid,to employees who have bankrupted the nation..
    Kleptocracy.
    Ain’t it grand?
We need a new country, with defined borders and some very basic, old school laws.
    No Welfare.
Hang all who offer to “help”.
The lesson of Can Ahh Duh is obvious, government turns everything it takes over..to shit.
Shit so toxic that nothing can grow in it,except parasites.

  32. XMenticide makes the all to often mistake of a kook aid drinker.
Insults us all as being shallow thinkers (look in the mirror) and all the while getting sucked into loyalty to “conservative” economic rhetoric from the latest puppet.

Please point to a principled “economic” fiscally conservative leader that we have ever had at the federal level???

    1. Please point to a principled “economic” fiscally conservative leader that we have ever had at the federal level

Alexander Mackenzie??? He was a Grit, but back in the day even a Grit would be more like PPCer today 😄

  33. Why is it seemingly impossible to find a leader in Canada who doesn’t care what the Lieberal-controlled media thinks of him or her?

  34. Moral of the story: “You can take the politician out of the W.E.F. but you cannot take the W.E.F. out of the politician.”

  35. Has P P ever heard Matt Walsh clapping back at the “You’re-too-mean” crowd?

“Don’t let them use their own feigned over sensitivity as a cudgel to beat you into submission.”

He should pick up the gauntlet and at least publically recognize Europe has an Islamic child rape gang and migrant problem.
Supporting Christine Anderson would help PP’s image and perhaps slow The Death of Europe for a few seconds.

  36. Oh yeah. To the CPC guy that called looking for a donation, and got pissed at me when I said I’m not donating anything to the CPC until they actually start passing conservative laws, now you know why. Gonna be an uphill climb getting my trust back.

  37. Politics is a game. The Liberals are really good at it, Conservatives not so much. We are being delusional if we think that the PPC will form government in this country. Note: I voted for the PPC in the last election. The problem with this country is that there are far too many left leaning people in this country. Max has already been blackballed by the media. The wisest thing to do if you are a conservative is play the game. Say what you need to, stay out of controversy, and keep your mouth shut when it comes to things that will get you on the bad side of mainslime media until you get in power. The Liberals have done the same thing to conservatives in the last three elections. Bait and attack when they make mistakes. I know it is unfair but you have to play the game that is handed to you. BTW biggest mistake Harper did when in office is to not completely obliterate the CBC.

    1. ” We are being delusional if we think that the PPC will form government in this country. Note: I voted for the PPC in the last election.”

They don’t need to win. They only need to draw enough votes from the CPC to get the CPC leadership to understand that we will not accept their “Liberal Lite” policies anymore.

Yes, the right-wing vote will be split. Yes, the Liberals will win more minority governments. If the CPC wants to put an end to this cycle, THEY KNOW WHAT THEY MUST DO.

      1. And the Conservatives will lie to you, until they have power and once again ignore Conservative people.

  38. Surprised? By a career politician throwing MPs under a bus for having some sort of principles? Pierre, was lifelong political nobody three years ago, and suddenly they promoted him as the answer to all our political problems? Anyone paying attention knew how this would turn, and stayed away, while trying to warn others, but the bandwagon beckoned and many jumped on. The Conservative Party (all political parties) is a private corporation. Their ambition is to make money, and gain power through any means necessary. Deals are cut with powerful people, and other deals are made with similar parties, even opposition, if there is such a thing.

I’ll stay with Max for now, as he realizes he will never be PM, but offers hope of a better tomorrow. Or you can wait for a Conservative PM and then wonder why he didn’t scrap CBC, or appoint 22 senators again.
