    1. Six months ago, financing costs for trucks were as high as 6%. Since then, real interest rates have gone up and yet financing costs have dropped, to about 1.99% a few months ago to 0.99% for up to 72 months today. Why would General Motors finance the sale of its trucks at less than 1.0% for 6 years when real interest rates are nearing 5%? Tip of the day is if you are in the market for a new truck, wait a few more months. First the financing rates go down, then the prices. And don’t vote Liberal. Two tips.

      2. Best time to buy was DURING the pandemic, quite a few brands were offering 0% percent financing, some for 96mo. There was a gas station on the border of Alberta and Saskatchewan offering gas for $.38/l, which made a 50gal drum just under $80.. Also a good time to stock up on stocks, like Canadian Tire and major bank stocks, etc.
        But of course the world was coming to an end, doncha know?!

    As one of the comments notes, the loss of urban Calgary MLAs is a serious blow to the PCs. Smith will not have them to counterbalance the reps who have to answer to hayseed people. Notley lost the election but the NDP might yet win the war.
