Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

But why not be reasonable? There’s no need to stoop to their level. So much negativity and crooked bow ties! She doesn’t only represent the people that voted for her, all her constituents deserve a voice.
Kind of like my voice on the crosswalk thing? Who owns that?
H
I think the number of burnout stripes on those rainbow crosswalks speaks for itself.
Don’t I remember some guy getting charged with a hate crime for doing that?
“But why not be reasonable?”
I find it interesting how some use the word “reasonable” when requiring that a Conservative give up one of their moral standards or beliefs. “You can’t have that there! Its a cross! You’re being unreasonable!”
But when a Conservative says “You can’t tolerate my kid’s chalk art on the freakin’ driveway?! Are you nuts?!” that is terrorism.
In Minneapolis, “being reasonable” is playing the call to prayer brazenly across the city several times a day.
Reasonable? that’s rich. Too bad she’s too nice to say, GFY. By the way, in what way is AmericansUnited, headquartered in DC, her constituents? I’ll wait.
eljay
Pound the bible much?
You epitomize the problem on the right!
Give an inch, the bitches will want a mile, ERM: kilometer !
I thought the bow tie thing would set the sarcasm voice to “on”.
Negativity .,….. Having a point of view that isn’t progressive is negative these days.
I think the days of conservatives being reasonable are drawing to a close everytime another prog comes up with another hair brained idea, and doesn’t take responsibility with the consequences.
I am no longer reasonable with the terminally stupid and the insane. They can F O A D, all of them.
She is wrong. This is not her personal property.
It will wash off with the first summer rain shower. Calm down, it’s not a permanent defacement. And they’re kids. What if they chalked a hop-scotch grid? Would THAT offend the Christian haters?
That’s CHRISTIAN chalk, Kenji. Some offenses are so dire they can’t be ignored.
What’s going to happen when that CHRISTIAN chalk washes off and gets into the Environment?!!!
See, this is where we reach the limits of “reasonable”. You are getting wound up about chalk art done by kids on a driveway and invoking property law to get your way on your political thing. If they drew a cat would you be offering an opinion?
So let’s not pretend to parse statutes, shall we? Just come right out and say what you really mean.
If it was me, and that was my kid’s chalk art, I would have used shorter and far less polite wording.
So Joe Biden gets to put “Pride” flags up at the White House in a manner that is actually contrary to the rules but her kids can’t have any fun? It’s her home and her kids. Don’t like? Don’t vote for her. Much ado about nothing.
Willknot
It’s kids playing, I understand that, and I am as anti-relgious as you can get!
Yknot
Bullshit…regardless of whose property, it’s an enhancement ffs…and as noted by Kenji, will wash off on the first rainfall
As per Bill Engvall, “here’s your sign”
Your opinion would be the same if the kids drew something you liked right?
Either are city crosswalks defaced with rainbows.
She is right and the fact that godless democrats hate that is too f****** bad. That you hate it means even less.
People HATE that word.
Aggression usually is followed up next until you comply.
Ummm…that’s actually pretty darn good. Well done kids. My artistic ability begins and ends with paint by numbers, so I’m kind of impressed.
As Kenji said. “Calm down”. No one’s getting hurt.
EXCEPT, the artwork was most likely “directed and produced” by an adult in a “rental” home to make politically-active statements.
Good luck with those teenagers ….
They were much happier when Newsom’s kids chalked giant penises on his driveway.
B G
That was a Newscum likeness, cuz he is a dick!
Little kids should not be turned into political activist intervenors for causes that parents like. What did they learn? It is OK to chalk someone else’s property and anyone who objects in mean and should be told off. Tearful dinner to follow …
I hope that one kid acted out and painted mom’s wall with lipstick or non-washable markers. And another decided not to draw beautiful things anymore at school. Parent-teacher meeting to follow.
Little kids should not be turned into political activist intervenors by agitators that parents don’t like. Does it still work in that direction?
Also, the kids live there. It’s -their- driveway, as far as they’re concerned. Kids don’t generally get the whole public/private dichotomy thing. Kids generally leave that to internet Leftists who can’t stand the idea of a Christian symbol being left un-defaced.
If they came and chalked that on -your- driveway, then you’d have an argument.
Also really nice look, wishing misfortune on her kids like that. Classy.
I’ve got a great idea though. If you feel so strongly, why not go after kids for chalking Muslim symbols on their driveways? See how you get along with that.

L – On the topic of saying, No. Happy Dominion Day, good Canadians!
Trudeau, the elder, removed the Dominion Day name, but everyone
makes mistakes, and we did by going along with it.
Happy Dominion Day!
Have you seen all the spray paint on “someone else’s property”? These same complainants would fight to the end for vandais’ right to do this. This is chalk.
Indeed. Even as kid in the 70s I remember seeing “sophisticated” New Yorkers praising graffiti “artists” and thinking this was an obvious symbol of societal decay and that things would get progressively worse. I will say though that the decline hasn’t been as rapid as I thought it would be. Reagan of course staved off the decline and bought us some time, but things are again at a turning point. Never surrender people. Like Kate says, these people want us dead, so we have no choice but to battle these filthy commies – whatever it takes.
Thomas
BINGO..!!
Heh, I want them to draw a picture of Mohammed next.
Again, I’m not at all religious, but that artwork does not offend me, and truthfully it’s beautifully done. If my kids had created such a delightful piece pf art, I would have sprayed several coats of exterior clear lacquer over it to make it last longer. If I were in that Governor’s shoes, I would coat it in clear, just to piss off the lefties. Good on her for standing her ground.
Also to note, when you start apologizing to the woke left, they double down and go all in. If you truly do have the courage of your convictions, just say NO, refuse to bow, and stand your ground. Screw em!
Sometimes you have to grab a spear and throw it back. Call it the Rittenhouse effect.
The Rittenhouse effect, I like that +++++
America was not founded on freedom of religion as it is claimed today.
You had the freedom to follow one strict interpretation of Christianity, or the freedom to gtfo and start your own colony.
That’s pretty much total BS. The First Amendment prevented laws that restricted the exercising of religion and prevented a national or state religion.
Pretty much the opposite of the drivel you posted.
mhb23re
Key word there is Amendment.
Not only is that a nothing burger but in Arkansas, it’s smart politics. Nicely done “kids”.
No, don’t say NO.
Say nothing. Don’t dignify a childish and silly complaint like this with a response.
Come to think of it: this thread should have had zero comments.
Maybe the kiddies should have drawn a rainbow. But then again, the same progressive sissies would have found something reprehensible about that too, perhaps even labeling it as “lifestyle appropriation”.
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”
The Bill of Rights is meant to protect people from government. It is not meant to enable the government to abuse citizen rights. It is there to protect Sanders and her family from government in the free exercise of religion. Sanders is not Congress. Sanders is not establishing a state religion. Reading is hard.
Way to go!
Those kids are talented and push all the right buttons.
They’ll go far!
Appeasement is suicidal.
