  1. Old white people live too long, so blacks should get more SS. I would like to give someone some serious S S. I am sick of these whining bastards.

  2. CBC celebrates canada day with a story about white supremacy, well, who gives a shit, we are now get over it.

  3. CBC’s Canada Day special was totally unwatchable and quickly changed the channel.

  4. The fantasy that is “Climate Change” is not the only liberal cause celebrate on which trillions are wasted, world-wide, but certainly the single imaginary cause most damaging to the quality of human life. The ignorance of people like Al Gore, John Kerry and Greta Thunberg is exceeded only by their arrogance.

    1. It’s not ignorance on their part, roaddog. It’s a) their livelihood, their ATM and 2) they are on board with the real reason behind the Climate Change® scam; a One World Marxist Government ruled by a small cadre of elites.

Kerry, Gore, and Greta believe they will be part of the (wealthy) elite rulers after the rest of us become feudal vassals who own nothing and will be happy (or else!) serving our masters.

Pro tip: Start practicing doffing your cap and tugging your forelocks now. Beat the rush. You don’t want to be sent to the gulags because you can’t do those mandatory, simple things properly.

      1. If the climate gang greens win, Kerry, Gore, Trudeau, the Davos crowd, etc. will quickly find themselves taken care of a la cultural revolution.

    2. I am always reminded that the elites think that life will continue the same as always until it does not! An event comes out of left field such as the Black Plague and there goes feudalism because of the population being decimated or quite literally “wiped out” in certain parts of the country.
I am center of the road, to the right on fiscal prudence, a little to the left on social issues. But with all of the pushy events by the left for the last 2-3 years, I worry that the pendulum is going to swing hard to the right and it will take some time before an even keel is established. People are fed up with all of the nonsense being pushed at us.

  5. Canadians are to be applauded for resisting the EV rope that auto manufacturers and Western governments are trying to push up the hill. That average citizens are more intelligent than government employees is unsurprising.

  6. If there is an award category for Tweet of the Year, JK Rowling just won, walking away.

  7. The decline of Canadian’s enthusiasm to embrace battery cars has been brought about by…reality.
Look for the fascists to go from push to shove.

  8. New Canadians don’t have a right to an opinion on Canada Day other than gratitude. Otherwise, they could always go back from whence they came.

    1. It’s not their fault. Thry have been conditioned to reject our country. The Liberal government has done a fine job of destroying any sense of pride in our country. Many people have little enthusiasm for celebrating Canada Day these days. The CBC article signaling this is another ” dump on Canada” hit piece. Has any journalist bothered asking Trudeau if he “loves Canada?” Remember the fuss they made asking Harper this question? I did feel Harper tried to promote nationhood and pride in our country. How sad that Canadians have accepted the Liberal’s diminished view of our once fine country.

    2. I’m just finishing up a six month stint in Mexico. Every street corner has a bust or a statue. Cinco de Mayo – the real Cinco de Mayo – was a fairly small skirmish between Mexican republican forces and French interlopers, but Mexico treats it like their Thermopylae and nearly every street here is named after a date or a hero of one of those battles. The monuments to defining battles are bigger than most Canadian government buildings.

If there’s one thing being here has taught me it’s how weak and and anemic Canadian patriotism is.

      1. ” … how weak and and anemic Canadian patriotism is.”

That’s certainly now the case in this home/family. I have zero faith or pride in any of the institutions of this country.

If you put the queer flag and the chicomm flag in a blender you’d surely end up with our rag.

      2. “Canadian patriotism” has no basis, and has to be a pretence, an imitation of the behaviour of people in real countries. Seen in that light, it’s remarkably intense, since it actually exists when it shouldn’t.

  9. Study finds interest in EVs declining despite feds’ push?..

Who has the time for an expensive downgrade.. Seriously.. All things electronic do not age well.. Even if you hardly use the thing in 5 years its going to be outdated.. I also suspect hefty battery disposal fees in the future if or when they choke off oil and gas.. Save that for later..

Grid your green teeth.. The answer is obvious and available.. EVs with smaller batteries and a small gas generator to extend range..
Not a hybrid with two power trains.. A EV with a proper generator..

Square peg, round hole.. They don’t want this because it doesn’t jive with their zero carbon fetish.. Touching themselves while they sort their garbage for no reason.. We have room for everything and mandating a upgrade is as unnecessary as listening to Trudeau speak.. A waste of time..

So get on with it and save me some money while you are at it and the EVs will sell themselves..

  10. Notwithstanding JK’s twitter comments, I am finding the internet becoming more and more of a verbal trash heap. Is this the best our society has to offer?

    1. I get the impression that Rowling finally got fed up with being civil to these idiots, talked to her accountants and ensured her wealth is in enough places around the world that no government or QUANGO can touch her any more, and just said “f*ck it”.

That said, why anyone of consequence bothers with Twitter I’ll never understand. James Woods and David Burge post the occasional bon mot, but 90% of their feeds are helping people identify old cars, their wife’s photography, or musings about their hometown. It’s what we were promised social media would be.

  11. White supremacy in Canada? So, will King get cancelled? Oh, and Laurier too? They are two of the biggest racist PMs this country has ever produced. Yes, but they are Liberal racists so that is good.

  12. JK Rowling is not a hero. She was fine with the revolution right up until it arrived at her front door. She mocked and sneered.

    1. While this is true, her public pushback on the trains and their subsequent escalating harassment still serves as a useful warning to others: “The revolution always consumes its own. If they can come for Rowling, they will come for you. Think about that.” She’s the contemporary Trotsky.

    2. I have followed this entire kurfuffle closely since it’s opening salvo four years ago.

Rowling was and still is fine with transgenders living their life with dignity, free of harassment and discrimination. She is not fine with transgenders violating the rights, safety, and dignity of women. Nor does she support dangerous and questionable medical practices on children.

      1. “Rowling was and still is fine with transgenders living their life with dignity, free of harassment and discrimination. She is not fine with transgenders violating the rights, safety, and dignity of women. Nor does she support dangerous and questionable medical practices on children.”

I’m with her, no matter what her past or present political views were/are (and notwithstanding the fact that there is no such thing as ‘transgendered’)…
