  1. i learned this lesson 50 yrs ago,,,started the wheat stubble on fire with the hot muffler on a 66 chev pick up,,, the cat converters on new cars get way hotter now

  2. Global warming? Caused by driving ICE automobiles thru the field stubble. Ohhhhhh mommmaaaaa that would never happen with a Tesla …

    1. Here is an innocuous comment to find out whether there is a mad censor at the ‘sda’ helm … or is it me who is being banned from commenting.

      1. Okay .. what I am gleaning here is that one may not criticized The Elon Musk Car or one will have one’s comment removed.

  3. Those carbon brakes get hot.

Should have just kept driving til the corn burned out of the wheels

    1. looks to me the front was stuffed with corn husks and dirt.. Instant overheat..what a fkn idiot.. LIBERAL VOTER NO DOUBT.

    2. Just a naive question. Don’t the brakes have to be USED to get hot? I cannot imagine they were braking the Ferrari in the stubble field. What are the Rotors touching to get that hot?

      1. Could have been exhaust but fire seems to be concentrated in the wheels at first.

They would have been on and off the brakes. If it only takes 3 seconds to get to 60- they weren’t going a hundred in a cornfield. Not fast enough long enough to cool them off, especially full of corn. Lots of quick bursts then slamming on the brakes to get a good video.

  4. Hopefully insurance won’t pay for this. Cardinal rule of auto fires: direct the Red Bull at the base of the fire.

  5. Francisco, it’s a Ferrari, not a Vette.
(Logo in steering wheel confirms it.)

  6. Quick, the federal fire fighting crew needs those geniuses.they will fit right in.
Right alongside the all women fire symposium that tried to burn down Banff.

  7. Traction control probably was applying the brakes a bit constantly the whole time the car was offroad.

  8. I know a local hunter who burned his Toyota Tacoma completely while driving through a wheat stubble field. Total right off.

I don’t know if insurance covered it or not.

  9. Notice the buildup of corn trash in the wheel where the fire started. Perhaps corn stubble built up in the wheel/brake area that finally ignited. The mini van seemed to have a similar problem. And yes, I noticed the area between the vehicles wasn’t burnt but both vehicles had a similar problem.
