Financial Post- Worried about grocery prices? Wait till we get compulsory carbon accounting
Among other things, these standards mandate the use of intrusive, burdensome, and expensive CO2 emissions accounting across a company’s entire value chain. For grocery retailers this includes explaining and accounting for emissions in the production, transport, packaging, refrigeration, consumption and disposal of everything they sell. In other words, your grocery store will need to quantify all the emissions of that hamburger meat you bought: whether in producing it (including all steps from farm to processor), transporting it to the store, packaging and refrigerating it at the store, plus your travelling to and from the store, your refrigeration and eventually your cooking of the hamburger, and your disposal of the packaging and any waste of the food.

This BS is already happening in the oil and gas industry. The admin alone is in the high 6 figures for mid-size companies to manage the reporting, and the admin cost of running programs to discover, validate, remediate, test, and audit is in the millions.
Per year.
Forever.
And all to combat the imbecilic anti-scientific lie of global warming.
Are there any countries besides China and India who don’t tow the WEF line on this stuff? Does Mexico for example?
Q. Why doesn’t China comply with green policies?
A. They already have a communist government.
As for India? They want to grow up to be China, only without communism.
Doing a deep dive into life cycle analyses of, well, everything and you will find that net zero only exists in pre-industrial, stone-age squalor where carrying capacity would ensure the elimination of most of humanity. In the meantime, the western world, as part of its post modern self-extinction project is content to continually adding more weight from the dead hand of government to the productive sector in another project to eliminate the middle class and thus increase the number of state-dependent voters. The Bolsheviks and Jacobins thrive in the political world of manufactured crises
Grocery stores are already getting the jump on this and have already passed off some of the costs to you. The refrigerated sections that hold dairy, yogurts etc….I’m willing to bet you’ve seen them make these enclosed areas in the last year or so. They used to be open units that you could just reach in and take what you want. Now, however, there are glass doors in these sections.
Of course, this makes sense from a financial (electrical) point of view for the store. But, I assure you that wasn’t the primary motivating factor to do so. And, you paid for it…so enjoy your new glass doors.
The government gave them money to do it, in the interests of “reducing carbon emissions” to the order of $12 million from Climate Barbie

Good lord. THIS is what I think of when I hear President Dementia say that going “Green” and “Carbon Neutral” will “create thousands of good paying jobs”. Yes, jobs like “food product carbon accounting” … just USELESS bureaucratic bullshit that doesn’t ADD a single thing to the GDP. Essentially communist “make-work” non-jobs.
And yeah … just like the communists … we’re gonna STARVE a lot of people to death.
Hop on your bicycle, I hear they are hiring down at the windmill.
There are more of us than there are of them.
True. But one shepherd and a dog or two easily controls 97 sheep.
How Islamic.
True. And how Christian. And how athiest. And how Western. And how Chinese … and Brit … and etc etc etc.
Problem, as always, is that the sheep aren’t organized.
And this is why “they” use puppets like Juthtin.
If the day comes where the people rise up, we won’t know where to find “them”. Nor would we recognize any of “them” if we passed them on the street.
Don’t get me wrong, I would take great delight in testing the combustibility of the puppets, but “they” would escape unscathed.
We’d just end up killing each other. Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.
Ya but half of us are obese, distracted and in denial and dumbed-down or too old.
We have a Keystone Cop population.
The one ingredient that is needed is a freedom loving population with a common culture and language. That is what is being taken away from us …
I guarantee you they are working with consultants from the big accounting firms. They would see years of chargeable hours by going to every company in Canada and auditing/signing off on the carbon footprint of everything sold in Canada.
Bingo. The Cartesian Number Whores know a money maker when they see one.
I had a band called “the Cartesian Number Whores”, but people considered us square.
Eventually it becomes a net negative to do business in Canada, so these companies will just leave.
Only an utter fool would open a business in Canada.
Which is entirely the point. These imbecilic programs will be rolled out everywhere, but they will mostly devastate specific countries, and certain demographics and ethnicities within those countries.
Those who are the biggest threat to the POSs behind the curtain. Those who still have some wealth, and who have the skills and intelligence to put fear into them.
There’s a reason why specific ethnicities have been the target of every government program for well over a century. And also why we are supposed to focus on those who haven’t but claim to have been.
The first order of business in creating the new Global Tyranny is to get rid of white people. .. Mainly conservatives … They are the one’s most likely to not obey their political masters. They are also the most heavily armed.
Brown and black people are used to being told what to do, so they are less of a problem.
Yes, but only specific white people. Those doing the persecuting are also white. But they belong to a different tribe. Whites aren’t homogenous, and there are no shortage of white people who have been at war with other white people for centuries.
These scum use the blanket term “white” to create division amongst those of other skin colors b/c they know that they are protected. “They” aren’t at risk of attack – “they” live in gated communities with security and unbelievable wealth. Undesirables wouldn’t be allowed to wander near where they live.
There is big missing piece in the “green accounting”. Over 25% of the employed in Canada are “working” in the public sector. They need their life cycle carbon costs tracked so that all Canadians can see the hypocrisy of the green bureaucracy ideologues .
Once you factor in the portion of the private sector which, at any one time, is employed on government contracts, it’s just shy of 30 percent.
But the hypocrisy of our politicians, press, and bureaucrats has been paraded for all to see for generations; it is simply impossible for anyone to claim ignorance. Yet Canadians keep choosing the ovine path instead of standing up and speaking out.
Witness Manitoba. Witness Blubber Douggie in Ontario. Everywhere. What colour of sheep do you want to be? Blue, red, orange, or green?
” it has created a Canadian Sustainability Standards Board to work in lockstep with the ISSB to ensure seamless implementation of the new global baseline in Canada, and it has representation on various ISSB advisory forums. ”
Not lockstep… they be goosestepping away to bring more harm to canadians
Lets call it the Tipping Point and turn the cold civil war hot once and for all.
Wait up… what happened with that meeting of the grocery store execs who were supposed to work out how to lower prices… or else?
Anyhow, if they haven’t met yet, none of the execs will dare bring up that the Canadian Government is causing the skyrocketing prices with all of the taxes in the value chain and onerous regulations such as this ‘caaahbon’ accounting requirement.
This is one of those “everybody knows** but will pretend to be totally mystified” pointless meetings. The execs will take their beatings from the Poofter in Chief, but not a thing will be changed. Oh… maybe not. The execs probably also will be hit with a windfall profits tax, which of course will be added into food prices.

**Everybody knows except Sparkle Socks. Wait ’til he finds out that his ‘10% for the Big Guy’ was actually 4% all these years because everyone knows he can’t do math.
“That was a million-dollar no-bid contract you were awarded. Where’s my 10%?”
“The $40,000 dollars has already been deposited into your offshore account.”
“Oh… OK. Good.” ;o)
We,Canadian tax Payers, can give our mendacious government the results they demand..
If “Carbon Emissions” are the evil they must reduce..
No problem.
Shut down every branch of government.
Fire them all and sell the buildings by lottery.
Hence reducing our collective emissions and eliminating the idiots who consider plantfood a problem..
As they see a path to power through their lies, it is only fitting that we hold them all to the standards they seek to impose upon us.
And yes,I no longer care if being forced to abide by the rules they impose on us,kills them.
I did not attack the Parasitic Overload.
It has chosen to declare war upon me and you.
They chose to do what they have done.
Yes.
They are this stupid.
The Long March through the Institutes is over.
The Fools and Bandits chose to turn our institutes against us.
Turn about is fair play.
Every abuse and excess of these systems shall be turned upon those who man them.
Those holding citizens for months and years without proper process and denial of bail..
Let them suffer the same.
Those who attempt to impoverish and enslave us..No reward is too vile for them.
Karma is a bitch.
Retribution a joy.
For when you can not enjoy the fruits of your own labours and investments, you turn to tormenting those who stole these things from you.
Canada has no future to invest in.
And it impossible to deny who made this so..
Forward to our glorious future!
Har har.
Test your political IQ:
I believe we should do everything we can to
(a) solve the climate crisis.
(b) make schools safer for transgendered people.
(c) solve the mystery of the missing residential school children.
(d) end woke socialist madness.
ANSWER: (d)
I am no fan of the US military industrial complex, but one person who worked in it explained to me part of the reason a hammer costs $500 is they have to track every part of every item for its entire lifetime. The idea, he explained, was that if the X47 bolt on the A-10 wing sheared off, they could track every X47 bolt on every A-10 to see if any of the others needed to be replaced or inspected. I understand the concept but the cost is astronomical.
Now we’ll enjoy the same effect on our food. Yum.
