  1. I’m intrigued by the metamorphosis on the benches. From sheep, to trained seals, and back again.

  2. Speaking of Christmas, last night a mass of protestors tried to shut down the lighting of the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center in NYC. They did so in the name of the Palestinians (Muslims). If I understand the rules of the game they, quite directly, committed a hate crime against Christians by doing so. Not to mention that they violated the First Amendment of the US Constitution (Freedom of Religion).

  3. Poilievre is right. If you’re having trouble affording food, heat, transportation fuel and shelter then a warm winter is the least of your worries. Trudeau and his script writers are running out of material. How out of touch can the Trudeau Liberals government get about real life Canadian concerns versus made up, speculative nonsense? The Liberal Party is descending into another round of “beer and popcorn” and “Soldiers with guns. In our cities. In Canada.” style attacks. As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool repeats his folly, I guess.

The idea that kids will never know snow, there will no more white Christmases, sledding or skiing etc. has been a frequently used (and relentlessly mocked) trope for the last 20 years. Trudeau is recycling many garbage ideas.

    1. It’s desperation. The Libs and their Dip sidekicks are spiralling down the drain in popular support. They need something, anything no matter how apparently ridiculous to try to revive the dead corpse that is the LPC. As to recycling, yes, they are retrying some of the same old ideas. Albert Einstein had something to say about trying the same experiment again and expecting a different result.

    2. Gym and cgh, I wonder if the Trudeau Liberals have ever considered listening to what Canadians and provincial premiers are saying instead of relying on “experts” in Ottawa.

      1. 40+ years ago Newfoundland fishermen, whose ancestors had been fishing the Grand Banks for hundreds of years were telling the Federal Government for years that the fish were disappearing. However, the “experts” in Ottawa said that they were wrong and they calculated that there was substantially more than what was available in real life. Well, we all know what happened to the Newfoundland fishery about 30 years ago.

        1. “It is hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong.”

          Thomas Sowell

      2. LC, for my part, this seems to be a bunker mentality. The Libs know they are in deep trouble. By their public actions over the past six months plus, they are avoiding anything resembling public appearances. The last time Justatwit tried, his security escort had to rescue him from the scene in Belleville in July. Not one of the senior Liberals now appears in public anywhere. Trapped in a bunker, you don’t listen to anyone outside.

Most of the provincial premiers hate their guts. Ontario, Alberta and Saskatchewan loathe them. For the Libs, talking to any of them is impossible as well.

The problem with the Liberals is a generational one. They need at least a decade or two out of power to overcome the malignant effect of the Trudeaus, father and supposed son, have had on Canadian politics. Father and son both, they were lying frauds who hated the Canada they took over. Until the name “Trudeau” is expunged from the Liberal lexicon, the federal Liberals will continue to be hated.

The Libs have a problem with this. The most successful Liberal premier of Ontario ever was Dalton McGuinty. It took a decade, but Katie Telford and Gerald Butts destroyed that government and the provincial economy. Then those two morons went off down the highway after getting run out of Toronto to take over Justatwit and the federal Liberals, then going on to ruin that government as well.

        1. Yep. Arrogance, and narcissism combined with stupidity is a terrible combination. I suspect the federal Liberal party will be out of power for a very long time so they’re going to steal as much as possible before they get booted out of power. It’ll take decades to repair Trudeau’s damage.

          1. His chosen successor, Garden Gnome Barbie, is almost as bad as he is. Right now, the Liberal elite is pretty much bankrupt of anyone of any ability. Marc Garneau said FU to Justatwit and Telford. The old centre Liberals such as John Manley who could command at least some respect from conservatives are long gone. Some of his best like Philpott or Wilson-Raybould were sacked. Justatwit has some of the most stupid cabinet members in Canadian history: Blair, Jolly Melanie Joly, Patty Hajdu, Harjit Singh and a host of others.

And now, looking around the ruins of his government, he has no one of any competence left. No surprise: by the end in April 1945, Hitler had no one left of any competence in Der Fuhrer Bunker either when the Red Army was a block away.

  4. What an idiot. Beyond idiot. Idiots look down at him as stupid. How can a supposedly intelligent adult make such a ridiculous statement? I wouldn’t put it past him to blame conservatives for killing Santa.

  5. Axe the carbon tax on farmers? All well and good, but what about the rest of us Pierre?
That whole tax is premised on a great lie.

    1. Ya gotta start with baby steps Warren …. perhaps you forget this is Canada. Old Indian name for scared of his own shadow.

    2. The liberals/NDP have put Canada into such a deficit that even with spending cuts, I think PP actually needs the money from the carbon tax to at least make the interest payments. Realistically, PP could only cut government spending so much before people panicked. The ramifications of Trudeau not thinking about fiscal policies, expecting budgets to somehow balance themselves, and borrowing & spending like someone who expects debts to just disappear by some magical force in the future – those ramifications will be burden to Canadians for generations to come.

      1. Sacking 25% to 1/3 of all fed employees on average would help. Make it 100% in Ministry of Women and anything to do with the Klimate Kult.

“Oh, so instead of paying them their wages we put them on welfare. THAT’ll save a lot”, said some idiot leftist moron. “Yep”, sez me, “probably over 50% for public sector taxpayers who fund the deadweights”

        mhb23re

        1. Welfare would be a hell of a lot cheaper than the 100,000 plus it cost to have them do nothing as it is.

    3. It’ll be important to remember that when PP downclimbs axing it altogether after taking power and, instead, maintains current rate vs projected increases. He claim that as a win due to the precarious state of government finances. We’ve seen that play before when Mulroney never imposed necessary cuts after pere Trudeau and exercised “prudence” by maintaining a debt to gdp ratio. In a sane world we’d need a Bunyonesque hewing of spending. I used to care about such matters but we’re so far into the controlled demolition of our economy (as is every western country), that it’s pointless. This is part of their Great Reset plan – once you understand that then it becomes clear why they don’t care about covid spending and deficits. Talk about returning to fiscal responsibility now is theater. Brace yourselves.

    1. That’s what is so amazing, galling, stunning, etc. This lunatic is plumbing new depths of derangement. ‘We’re all dumber for having listened to this’ from Billy Madison comes to mind. The self satisfied smug look as he sits down thinking he was clever is too ridiculous for words. Pure gaslighting. A narcissist has no shame.

And the seals with a standing ovation like that was a spectacular “gotcha”? I can’t even…

What I wouldn’t give to see someone from the gallery jump down and punch the Turd in the face. That would be priceless!

      1. You can say – with confidence – this worthless spawn of communist offal has never been clever a day his miserable life.

  6. The young lad has become even more yelly and shouty lately. That new PR guru in the PMO really has done wonders…

  7. I’m frequently reminded of Donald Trump’s oft repeated statement during the 2016 election:

“We are being led by stupid people.”

  8. Due to the fact that Trudeau’s voice makes me lose my lunch I turned the sound off as he spoke. He looks completely unhinged as he speaks. Is Pierre beating him that badly that he has to resort to that kind of anger? Trudeau would do himself a huge favor to not go to question period.

    1. And yet our “human rights” whatchomaycallit was denouncing Christmas as a “colonial holiday”.

You would think these pigs would be embracing global warming thinking it would eliminate Christmas.

      The Grinch is schizophrenic…

  9. I’m dreaming of an Christian Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
    Where the government doesn’t indoctrinate
And children don’t have to wait
To save the planet from a boiling fate

Your PM is a madman who suffers from perpetual PMS

  10. For Christmas Juthtin should get a lump of coal.
Be extra generous and make it a meteor, Santa.
I figure a bus-sized one by the time its about 100 meters off the ground and travelling at a supersonic speed ought to bring about a really obliterating moment of clarity at Harrington lake.

  11. What the video revealed to me was that this is one big uniparty and they love doing theatrics for the plebs. Polievre is just another Ottawa insider and has been for 20 years. expecting a lifelong politician to fix mistakes made by lifelong politicians is the definition of insanity. We need a Trump to get anywhere. Leslyn Lewis could have been that person, but now she’ beginning to get swallowed by the Laurentian Dragon too.

  12. In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (crosses self). Merciful Lord, please bring a crippling ice storm and 4 feet of lake effect snow to Ottawa, coupled with 100 km winds and -40° temps. Please grant the same to wherever our benevolent leader spends his Christmas, be it Harrington Lake, Costa Rica, Tofino or his mistress’s dacha. In your Name I pray, Amen.

  13. He’s such a smug, smarmy, piece of shit. He had my bs detector going off the scale long before he ever became PM.
