  1. They voted for the Liberals. Elections have consequences.
In Montreal, if Trudeau loses the 6% Italian vote and 2% Jewish vote, does he focus on securing the 12% Muslim vote?
    What a country!

    1. Exaclty Mike. They are getting EXACTLY what they voted for and thet are getting it good and hard.

“As Montreal area politicians stall on the issue” implies that the local municipal politicos should be regulating this when in fact, the entire issue should be largely ignored.

Montreal has the absolute STUPIDEST voters in the country, except for perhaps Toronto, or Vancouver, or Edmonton, or Ottawa, or the Maritimes, or perhaps a thousand other Canadian locales

  2. PP recently stated that the liberals stopped being liberals 25 years ago. What a load of crap. The liberals turned to communism in 1963 with Lester Ballsless Pearson.
It doesn’t matter Province or Federal, Liberal NDP Block Green, they are all members of the CCP Communist Cesspool Party.
Until PP learned that I will lump him and his Progressive Conartist party among them.

Until we get a Non Communist government party this is all we will ever get.

    1. I’m no fan of Jean Chretien but at least he wasn’t insane like the current iteration (about 1995 there were a good portion of reasonable Lib MPs along with some crazies). J Trudeau has chased the grown-ups out of the party with only yes men remaining.
Manning was the push for Chretien to be fiscally reasonable.
PP is pushing but J Trudeau is an ideologue with all internal party checks chased away.

      1. By killing the helicopter contract (by preceding gov) killer Gretchen is directly responsible for the deaths of at least 17 airmen, and you think he’s responsible???

  3. Meanwhile Canada exports 3.5-million metric tons of wood pellets for burning elsewhere. That will fire a lot more bagels and pizzas than Montreal currently produces.

    1. A buch of that goes to England for electricity generation. It’s considered “renewable energy” that way. Not kidding.

  4. At the World Economic Forum, Li Qiang (Prime Minister of China) gave a “rousing” speech about all that China is accomplishing to provide the world with an environmentally friendly energy source in the future. This was well received and cheered….

Meanwhile, China has over 1,200 active coal plants on the mainland, with 243 new ones in production….and 393 new ones in the planning stage waiting on permit approval. And, Canada is sticking it to Pizza and Bagel shops.

  5. If you think they’re not coming for your fireplace or your Canada Day bonfire, then you’ve been asleep for the past nine years. There is nothing – no action, no possession, no utterance, no private thought – that this government does not claim suzerainty over. Progressive tyranny is an all-consuming, all-destroying beast that will never stop of its own accord. We know where it leads, because we’ve seen its ilk before: to the Lubyanka and the Gulag, the Cultural Revolution and the Red Guards, to the killing fields and the concentration camps. Always and inevitably, it leads to the mass grave. Understand this, and conduct yourself accordingly.

    1. “There is nothing – no action, no possession, no utterance, no private thought – that this government does not claim suzerainty over”

      May I steal that Trodwell?

  6. I always like(d) to inhale the aromas from outlets such as these……I wonder how many purchases were/are made by people whose appetites have been similarly tweaked?

  7. I’m sure Quebec will go to court and tell the Feds that “Environment” is a responsibility of the province of quebec and the federal government should Butt out… and the court will agree with Quebec, after disagreeing with Ontario, Saskatchewan and others.

  8. Antisemitism. Plain and simple. Alas they’ll just vote for the NDP instead. Because they need abortions and sexually confused children. And if they think the NDP aren’t antisemitic? Ohboyohboyboyboy!!!

  9. What? England has a wood-chip burning electricity generating plant that burns LOTS of wood. They classify it as green and “renewable”, I guess because trees grow back. Here we are in Canada, with 2 million frigging square miles of nothing but trees, but they worry about pizza ovens?

    1. Thomas, Yup, that’s it right there!

However, pointing it out doesn’t seem to get any traction…sigh. It would be far easier to extract ourselves from this deliberate destruction of our freedoms now, rather than later when we are in too deep and too far gone to protest! They literally rely on our indifference and the general public’s ignorance to force their plans upon us.
VOWG is correct about the general stupidity of the majority of the people.

      We truly are screwed!

    1. An environmentalist once told my dad that poop was organic.

My dad’s response ? So is cholera.

  10. Since when is burning wood a federal responsibility?

The Bong should start by banning wood burning on the 600+ reservations in the country. Let me know how that works out for you Bongo.

  11. Don’t look at it as a federal agency overreaching and doing something stupid, look at it as a federal agency self identifying as a cost cutting opportunity.
