  1. Disgusting that the lawyers made more money than the inventor.

And the owner of the firm was a real d*ck.

    1. Hydro turbines have a mechanical failure that can’t be fixed no matter how or what they replace the turbine with…

      It’s housing.
Being enclosed acts like a breaking system generating friction that bounces back on itself.
Centrifuge is a real bitch when you want to generate speed.

The big manufacturing company’s couldn’t care less as they were perfectly satisfied with this as it’s customer base would always need them. Germany really got their manufacturing base from this.

Inverted technology where the turbine becomes the housing harnesses all the flow at the same time, all the time.

Politicians haven’t listened in many decades.
It certainly gave other countries advantages to generate their own crap on a cracker…

      1. I did a velocities mapping of our planet.
The hemispheres are different from each other and the turbines must match their differences.
It indicates that the power generation turbines must be created the opposite of each other to generate the maximum efficiency of friction.
Not like our current one size fits all over the planet crap currently being imposed.

Who in the right mind would class making solar panels for the dark efficient?

      2. “Hydro turbines have a mechanical failure that can’t be fixed no matter how or what they replace the turbine with…

        Its housing.”

More of an inherent inefficiency, but nothing that can’t be mitigated by the ‘inverted’ design you referenced (or possibly others). Either way, hydroelectricity is still the best electrical generation method by far.

    2. I was reading an article this am about the potential ill effects of LED lights. Like many things today human physiology has not been taken into consideration.

    1. “The $1.2 billion in property taxes paid by the industry was the largest source of revenue for local taxing districts, according to the report. Schools received $432 million in oil and gas property tax revenue, and fire and police departments, cities, counties and other local services received $768 million. It amounted to 6% of all property tax revenue and 7% of all school property tax revenue.”

“The report emphasized the proposed law would only shift where energy is produced.”

Part of me wishes they would try to end oil & gas in Colorado, to watch them live the reality.

      1. We are now living in Atlas Shrugged, where innovators and doers are fettered by an increasingly parasitic society

        1. I need to read that book. I talked to a California resident recently who was convinced that every weather anomaly was irrefutable proof of climate change.. The Pacific Ocean current is still very cold off of the California coast. “Normal variability” will soon be a canceled term.

  2. Don’t forget that he was screwed out of profiting with the collusion of the courts.

    1. You do know these so called (hyper-sonic) missiles generate a ton of heat at these speeds. They can be tracked.

      1. “You do know these so called (hyper-sonic) missiles generate a ton of heat at these speeds. They can be tracked.”

I love the Houthi statement that they plan to “begin manufacturing” these missiles soon. Sure you will, guys…sure you will…

    2. I call bullshit on this one. They are confusing “rockets” with “missiles” and the term “hypersonic” is the most abused military related term since “assault weapon”.

P.S. Technically WWII era V2 rocket was “hypersonic” too.

    1. What’s the g supposed to stand for? The rest of the equation is the wavelength in micrometers on the left side and 1.24 divided by the energy in electron volts on the right, but that g isn’t supposed to be there.

  3. If you need convincing that CBC needs to be shut down, watch this video.

The theme is that viewing Asians as “model minorities” is harmful. If you watch 30 seconds of the video you will realize the theme is true – to those Asians who didn’t make it. Having standards as it turns out is harmful.

    1. An unforgettable stand-up line from David Steinberg about a university exam question:
“Refute the allegation that literature in the middle ages was moribund” after which he describes his halting made up on the spot BS answer.
I’ve tried to find it on YouTube to no avail.
      He was very VERY unique.

  4. Canada did this not Russia
It wasn’t the Russian intelligence services who monitored Facebook accounts in Canada and questioned people who dare speak about the concept of liberty or raise concerns about totalitarian dictates.
It wasn’t Vladimir Putin who declared a national emergency in Canada, then arrested his political opposition for protesting in downtown Ottawa.   And it certainly was not the Russian government who confiscated the bank accounts of dissident citizens who dared to raise their voices in support of truck drivers.  It was Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
It wasn’t Russia who hired state-sponsored hunters to track down unvaccinated citizens in Austria, fine them and confiscate their wages if they did not comply with vaccines.

  5. Got a propane bill. $1,560.88 in propane, $169.90 in FED fuel charge plus $225 GST for a total of $1,986.74.

    Almost 22% in “charges”.

  6. Jury selection set to start today in trial of man accused of killing Toronto cop

Northrup was a 31-year veteran of the Toronto Police Service.

Zameer was granted bail in the fall of 2021, but the reasons for the decision and evidence presented in court are covered by a standard publication ban.

  7. The asteroid hit Canada’s legacy news media hard. To survive, when readers en masse stopped reading or listening to them, they turned to the public trough. It is estimated that slurping from the trough is: “close to $500 million annually to (not counting CBC) news media thanks to Justin Trudeau’s government.

Occasionally, a news media insider points out how depending on politicians for taxpayer funding fractures the fundamental underpinnings of the role of news media in western democracies:

“Only a few years ago, the very idea of a journalist being dependent on a politician for his or her existence was considered beyond abominable. And yet, with lightning speed, the news industry (with laudable and notable exceptions) has made its peace with that, and now appears to be entirely content with the new status quo. Not only has it successfully put off dealing with its problems, the only evidence of innovation now involves developing new lobbying strategies. ”

  8. “We live in a very sick and crazy society, and if you’re not conscious and selective about how you interact with every facet of it you’ll inevitably get swept up in the sickness and craziness yourself. Health and wellbeing are still possible within the framework of our present dystopia, but you need to hold every part of it at arm’s length and examine it with a critical eye before taking it in.”

  9. There was a high speed chase at 3 PM in Whitewood SK. Does anyone know if it ended? They were doing 150+ westbound in the eastbound lanes. Then they went north.

No pit maneuver was tried because there was only 1 car on scene.
